So, in regards to some of the FPS problems players have been having.

    Try typing in "/renderscale 1"

If that doesn't work, I do suggest going around and working with your graphics settings. I'm still looking into alternatives.

It seems to happen a lot when the the VO bug when you go play infiltration every time you switch instances it lags really bad and plays all the VO's from that mission all at once its very annoying but thats when I see the lag for the most part.

Awesome work getting these bugs hammered out Dev folk. Just a heads up in case hasn't been mentioned before.... I have a Reman with the Resiliant (non-removable), Soldier (non-removable) and Superior Soldier traits. Compared with my other Reman which appears normal and only has Superior Soldier. Like I said, just letting you know.

Keep up the bug squashing...oh there goes one now!! lol
You're not the only one with that problem, I think there even exists a thread about it.
(I have a reman who is stuck with the "resilient" trait.)

Still no news on the hourly rep project bug where it is not giving rep xp, where you can only slot two instead of three, and those who haven't been able to slot the xp one for a couple of days now.

Then there are the graphics problems we have only had since season 9 release that never happened before.

Will this patch fix the horrendous lag in the Undine battlezone?

Any chance we can have the next few days of patches NOT in the middle of European afternoon ?

Well given they are doing it a 7am their time, I would say not. How early would you like them to start for them to do that? I am in the UK so this is in the afternoon for me, and can go into peak time. I find it annoying, especially with the frequency it is at now, but I understand why with the time differences.

As much as we want to moan and winge, I am rather pleased they are trying to fix these issues now, not 5 months down the line or so.

Good job guyz, on this season, looks epic.

Some people may complain about the numerous bugs or whatever, but I for one appreciate the attention you folks paying to the state of the game.

Funniest commentary ever hahahaha. Well, they could just the game die slowly, thats the other option xD.

For god sake, people stop being so naive..

I was hoping the horrible graphic change will be restored as well. Well i have so many expectatives lol.... what about all the other "fails"of season 9??? just the trait system?? or may i suposse tomorrow we will have another patch, and after that another one?

Gotta love being thanked for my patience and understanding when I don't have any choice but to wait, nor do I understand:

You have a test server, you have beta testers, you've been doing this for years, you've released content quite regularly and still, even with all of that, we get the exact same problems EVERY time a new patch is released... No, I'm sorry, explain this to me, please...

Coding is difficult and sometimes has unforseen consequences. Count yourself lucky that they're patching this almost immediately after the S9 launch, rather than leaving it for a week until regular maintenance rolls around.

Hahaha, sorry i am a pc programmer since decades ago. Coding is not so difficult when you do the things right. And from the beginning. If you let all the bugs unsolved, and you keep growing up the code rutine after rutine, there is a moment that its impossible to see things clear. That is what happened to cryptic. They keep releasing new content and they never fixed anything, and everytime they launch something, we have 100 new bugs. So, in the end the code is so messed up that its impossible to fix. But of course, this only happens in cryptic, for what ive seen in so many years.

But you must be new to the game, so i will excuse you. Give it 3 more months and you will see what we are talking about. With all the bugs the game have, we should have patches almost every day, and we are having em now because the trait system is sooo important that it cant be let unchecked. If they forget about the trait system as well, the game is finished im afraid. So, of course they are doing so many patches. Wake up please.

PD.: Not to mention, the test servers they have are USELESS, it looks like. And it doesnt matter that people there atesorates cryptic saying "we found this bug or this other one, please dont launch this on holodeck yet" cuz cryptic NEVER listen to em and they keep releasing stuff in the holodeck untested and bugged. So, i tell you again, cryptic is a special case. They have no excuses. If you think they have, well, you are special too xD.

I called it, about the daily patches. At least the servers have behaved this time around. I remember bad past releases with servers down and "server stability patches" going in all the time.

Yep. I feel like I'm at one of my previous companies where they were taking the server down to release new alpha code every day....

    Hi!

I am new @ STO since about a week...
Is it usual, that there is a maintenance every day? Or did I just catch an awkward week to join STO? It is pretty anoying, that the maintenance is from 4 to 6 pm every day :(

    greetings, C.Cabby

Normally we have our scheduled maintenance on Thursdays, that usually lasts between 2-2.5 hours. This week, with our Season 9 launch, there have been multiple patches we've been progressively applying before the weekend. :)

It's not everyday. It's usually once per week, on Thursdays. You can in at the release of a major update and they are working out a few problems that popped up. This has all happened before and it will again. The game continues to work fine for the most part. Nothing to worry about :)

why always us GMT 2-4pm players who get the patches down time? Can't we have NA share the burden sometimes? Or even SEA, hmm 3 am GMT sounds good :P

In all honesty, you guys at Cryptic are doing great at the bug fixes for a new season launch, unlike the ''Legacy of Romulus'' release. My thanks :D . On a separate note I hope you will fix the DoFF glitch of reslotting active DoFF toons, every time I ''Brace for Impact'' my shield specialist's alarm forgot to go off, and it is eerily quiet at his station and the ship gets spaced every morning when im in the Khitomer system :(

I'm sure the staff would love to get up at 2 in the morning just to do their patching so that you can not be bothered by 2 hours of downtime.

Even better, Cryptic should just move to London so that you will be inconvenienced less.

Do you realize the only thing they are fixing is the trait bugs, right? what about the other 50 bugs of the season 9? lol.And people wonder why cryptic does not make more efforts fixing bugs.
