Isn't there a backup server that could server as a fail over? After all, this is a PRODUCTION commercial server, and one would think it should have a BACKUP. If one of my production servers went down like this (and it seems to be often), I'd be FIRED on the spot. All I can say is wow.....

(A) STO is run from a home server (probably an average desktop running a 4 year old AMD CPU) obviously.
(B) If PWE/Cryptic actually cared about their players, they'd be running a proper server with backups.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

At least STO comunity is a funny group (always there people that no are). In others games the comentary under this conditions aren't so funny as we can read here.

I noticed a trend in the last few years, where the devs post their information of various social media before they post it on their own sites, and even then they dont always post it on their own sites.
Its a rather disturbing development in my opinion.
Not everyone frequent these social medias, and many dont want anything to do with them either.
It makes me wonder if people who dont frequent these sites are considered second rate or something.

It took about 3 days to get *everyone* back and about 2 days to get things working.
Remember the weekend is probably when they have only a skeleton crew on-hand.
Could and should be quicker this time if it's the same issue. From what I saw at the start of the thread with the tracert logs it looks the same.
