So I'm new to STO is this normal?? I have so much to do lol when will the game actually work?? I was just about to buy a damn Avenger MUAHAHAHAHA!!

I would Urge you not to endorse PWE buying a a new Home desktop in which to run STO off of. but i would likely earn myself a ban, is there not a sotre on the website any more where PWE can just take your money and say thanks, look at the shiny picture?

I too pointed this comment from this moderator out. This is not the way a moderator should be answering posts , IMHO. Not sure if they are new to the forum or what the deal is with that answer, but they should be removed as a "community moderator" if this is how they reply to actual outtages being experienced by players.

askray is hardly new here, of course. :)

But yes, starting a thread off with a dismissive attitude has me worried a bit, as I haven't been able to log in for hourds now, and I'd rather someone at Cryptic took that a wee more seriously, as I'm certainly not the only one.

    I was joking just a little bit..not really though LOL..I'm a dreamer..;)

Not a dreamer, but realistic. I can't understand nor will I accept that a company like PWE that had a profit of $34 Million last year (http://massively.joystiq.com/2014/03/11/perfect-world-enjoys-a-profitable-2013/) can't set up a redundant system, such when one fails the other takes over. Issues like today can be avoided and should be avoided at any time. Don't say they can't find the funds for it.
OK, if I have to stay here for a while, your cieling ... looks idious.:D

I suppose I could go and set up a little picnic dinner out back and surprise the little woman.

It's okay to refer to her like that. She never reads the forums. LOL

You all have a great evening, except for Cryptic and PWE.

Those two can get... well, let's pretend it's Thanksgiving and they're the turkey. ;)

Lol first port of call for Cryptic is: It's not us... it's you... until it becomes clear it's not us. :D

Expect a belated explanation on the forum for this issue around Monday evening GMT. :D

Yeah, yeah, new updates always have additional downtime because of bugs and general wonkiness. It's true of every single MMO - predicting it here doesn't make you Kreskin.
"Participation in PVP-related activities is so low on an hourly, daily, weekly, and monthly basis that we could in fact just completely take it out of STO and it would not impact the overall number of people [who] log in to the game and play in any significant way." -Gozer, Cryptic PvP Dev
