Another item I've been looking for but doesn't seem to be available anywhere is this handy little number.
Yes, I know, it was a pre-order bonus. But it seems to be the single pre-order that you canna' get now. all of the others have been made available through various means, but not this one.
I even went looking to buy the digital delux version to get it, but none of the companies that did offer it are no longer selling it.
So could we get it back? maybe as a special console on some new (cross faction) shuttle? Please?
It's only truely useful purpose is vs HY Plasmas... Even then, you are better off with the Thunderchild turret... at least that one is useful against other things too.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Still the OP's idea is sound. As a 100 zen item purchase it'd be a nice new addition. Or something thrown onto a new shuttle. Be nice to have it in the offering. And that's coming from me, who has the item available already. Because of my pre-order way back when.
Still a few items that were pre-order and no longer able to get.
After 4 years, don't really see the problem if all my "perks" from the release day were put in to the C-Store now. I really have had my moneys worth out of them now, time to let everyone else have a play.
It's not completely useless - HY torps are the obvious use for them, but they can also handle fighters pretty well, and in PvP if a cloaked enemy gets close enough too you it'll pop off a round to let you know someone is out there.
and it's not the only pre-order that isn't available now - Joined Trill, TR116 rifle, red matter cap, EMH console are just a few off the top of my head.

Well, that's my opinion.
I bought most all of the pre-orders once i decided to buy the lifetime during launch - I bought my copy from attari before they offered the EMH, so I didn't get that, and I lost my target box with the code for the Tr116 before I was able to enter it - but otherwise I have them all.
I did get fairly pissed when they extended the Lib Borg for all lifers, and would probably get pissed again if they also released the joined trill - I spent good money to have these limited unique captains. - and the Red Matter Cap becoming open to the public would kill any hope of ever curbing power creep.
- but everything else I don't give F@#k all about, put em in the C-store.

It's not a matter of our opinions, it's a matter of contracts and agreements.

I used it on my peregrine shuttle for the longest time as protection against torps, but that's abou the extent of its usefulness these days. If it were a universal though...
As others mentioned, it can be a useful console against HY torpedos and mines, but in the later game it's most useful on a shuttle.
I'd certainly like to see the remaining unavailable perk items released. There may or may not be contractual issues in the way - just because some items have been released doesn't mean the others don't have some kind of clause preventing it - but it'd be cool.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
Nitpicking is a time-honored tradition of science fiction. Asking your readers not to worry about the "little things" is like asking a dog not to sniff at people's crotches. If there's something that appears to violate natural laws, then you can expect someone's going to point it out. That's just the way things are.
Ignore them all you want... Your problem... no really... It's YOUR problem.
But companies who actually have something to lose tend to follow the contracts they've signed... It's sort of a law thing.
What you're ignoring is that long list of other items they had in pre-orders which are now available for purchase in the game's store.
There's no contract keeping them from putting it in the store. The only thing holding them back is, it's probably not something that would be profitable. See above criticism of the item to understand why it might not be profitable.
when i first start up a toon the first thing that gets planted on the ship is the automated turret, it shoots one energy bolt out every so often on a cd and does next to nothing in damage, but enough to destroy HY torps instead of diverting weapons power, targeting and focus to that HY instead of the target. i can not tell you how much this one little turret has saved my bacon when i knew i was dead to rights.
T6 Miranda Hero Ship FTW. Been around since Dec 2010 on STO and bought LTS in Apr 2013 for STO.

You know... The use of the Word "probably" tends to indicate "I have no clue, so I use this word because it will make my case more believable".
Basically you have no clue... And that would be ok if it weren't so redicilous, but other than the possibility of them being bound by some kind of agreement, there is no reason why they would not be in the store.
Of cause, we can just use your model: Stick our fingers in our ears and make a "lalalala" noise believing it will go away that way. I am sure that will work too. (Tell me again that the RMC would not be profitable, and make me believe it).

You know people who spell the word ridiculous wrong also have no clue. So there's that.
What I do have a very strong clue about though is you can go into the C-Store right now and purchase a bunch of different pre-order items. Including the pre-order Tribble.
Of "cause" -- as you would say -- there just has to be a contract preventing them from putting the automated defense turret into the store. Right?
RMC is prime universe item, it wasnt created in an alternative jjcrap universe. so to me i have no problem with it.
Yeah, but it's created by JJ Abrams' story. Him, Kurtzman and Orci wrote the story that it spawns from. (And before you cite Countdown, that comic comes from Abrams, Kurtzman and Orci too).
My basic assumption is that the contracts stop them from offering them. Its the only thing that makes sense given Cryptics behavior towards selling stuff.
The reason why some are available and some aren't is probably the same thing, contracts preventing some while other contracts allowing them/

the RMC was a C.E. bonus, not a preorder bonus. you can still get them if you get your hands on a never used copy.
Right.....so any suggestions where I could get one of these since the digital deluxe version was a download (no disc included) only available from specific vendors that no longer sell it?

You don't need the Digital Deluxe version for the RMC, just the Collectors Edition - they have 4 of them for sale on amazon for $41 at the moment. (20 bucks cheaper then I bought it for pre order)
comes with hard bound art book, a communicator, the Red Matter Capacitor, and the next gen/DS9 uniforms.

i got it and only use was during the leveling.

Like the perk with the TOS Constitution?
Or the perk with Liberated Borg BOFF?
Or the perk with Mirror Universe uniforms?
Is it time for another big bold threadnaught about contracts? It's certainly been awhile.

i dont see any reason why these pre order items should be limited either, the red matter capacitor would probably be a gold mine.

It'd be nice if that little bolt were just a bonus. I dont see how tacking it onto something like the zero point console would be OP.
Or even if it was a set bonus for something like aegis.
As a stand alone it really isnt that amazing and if i had to buy it it would be like a 20 z purchase for me.
