    Something like a Battlestar, huh?

I must admit, I do find that intriguing. I wonder how a fed ship with impulse integrated into the warp nacelles would look. That would keep them shorter and fatter, making yreodred happy.

Well we see that most ships have Nacelles, but there is little to no info on wether or not those warp coils can be "internalized" as in just the thruster ports showing.

But it would be a pretty awesome look if it was "federationed"

nah put the nacelles where the landing bays are.

The landing bays become your shuttle bays and mission pods.

Central section of the ship houses, crews and primary systems along with medical suites and sceince labs.

The Galactica herself is roughly 1,445 meters in length, could be a serious beast to work with in universe, essentially a mobile starbase in a way, maybe extreme deep space vehicle.

You could have some serious storage, along with some serious supprt craft. Shuttles, work bees, runabouts, (just because it is also totally unreal) maybe an Eagle 5 (for camping trips).

I think i might start a new thread....... in ten forward...... labeled USS Battlestar?

    Here's something Crazy:

How about a Science Cruiser design based on the horizon Class?
I know Jo Jo ship, lol rofl blah blah blah... please hear me out:

Imagine the horizon 3 times as big and the "head" made flatter, shaped like a lense.
Nacelles a bit nearer to the ships hull and a bit smaller in relation.
That ship would not look like a Battle-Carrier-destroyer-escort-killer-thing, there are already more than enough of those ships in STO in my opinion.

    BOFFs:
    Tactical: Lt.
    Engineering: Cmdr.
    Science: Lt. Cmdr., Ensign
    Universal: Lt.

    Weapons 4/4

    Device Slots: 4
    Consoles: 3, 4, 3

    Hull: 37,500
    Crew: 720
    Shield Modifier: 1.24
    Turn Rate: 11
    Impulse Modifier: 0.15
    Inertia rating: 30

    Abilities: Subsystem Targeting, Sensor Analysis

I really liked a lot of the designs seen in star trek armada 2 and starfleet command 2, especially the smaller frigate/escort/police ship designs.

    Here's a few of them:
    http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20060810224856/memoryalpha/en/images/6/6c/Federation_Battleship_F-BB.jpg
    http://i43.photobucket.com/albums/e358/KclCmdr/Ships/Fed_CV_Before.jpg
    http://www.ussalbion.co.uk/torishima_angle1.jpg

I especially liked the aegean class:

    http://images2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb20070812003546/startrek/images/1/13/Aegian_class%2C_aft.jpg

Would make an awesome science vessel, if we had something based on it. Kinda like a modern day oberth.

And, as always, the steamrunner class remains one of my favorite federation ships of all time:

Well you can get the Streamrunner ingame if you buy the Steam Starter pack. http://sto.gamepedia.com/Blockade_Runner_Escort_Retrofit

As for me, I'm only missing the Constellation-class before I have all of my TMP/TWoK style starships.

    The Pack actually comes with:

One XP Boost that will provide a single character with a 20 percent increase in the amount of Skill Points earned up to a maximum of 1,000 Skill Points.

    Steam Powered Title

Mk II Phaser Assault Minigun [CrtH][Dmg]
    Mk II Personal Shield [Cap]
Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [RegHP]
Mk II Quantum Torpedo Launcher [Acc][Dmg]
Mk II Resilient Shield Array [Cap]

Trill Male Engineering Bridge Officer Candidate (Uncommon Quality) equipped with a Mk II Phaser Blast Assault [Dmg], Mk II Personal Shield [Cap] and Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [Dis]

Vulcan Female Science Bridge Officer Candidate (Uncommon Quality) equipped with a Mk II Phaser Assault Split Beam [CrtH], Mk II Personal Shield [Cap] and Mk II Energy Dampening Armor [Dis]

T1 Blockade Runner Escort: Steamrunner Class

T5.5 Blockade Runner Escort Retrofit: Steamrunner Class
STO is about my Liberated Borg Federation Captain with his Breen 1st Officer, Jem'Hadar Tactical Officer, Liberated Borg Engineering Officer, Android Ops Officer, Photonic Science Officer, Gorn Science Officer, and Reman Medical Officer jumping into their Jem'Hadar Carrier and flying off to do missions for the new Romulan Empire. But for some players allowing a T5 Connie to be used breaks the canon in the game.

Calm yourselves, because I know how radical this may sound.

      Some JJTrek ships.

No, I'm not saying we take the direction of that particular universe in STO. If nothing else, why not make a mission where you have the option to get one? Maybe a T1 ship, or the dreadnought from Into Darkness as maybe a T4 or a low-level T-5.

I wanna see that thing in a better light, anyway.

Whats your "dream" Starfleet ship for STO?

For me it would be some ships to complete the current minor race lineups. So more Orion, Lethean, Ferasan, Andorian, Vulcan, Tellarite, Nausicaan ships and designs, instead of some far off Elachi or Voth vessels.

      other than that:

A heavy fighter/Frigate pet for the Atrox alongside a flyable version:

      [Caitian] Class Heavy Interceptor

      Weapons: 3/3
      Consoles: Tac: 4, Eng: 2, Sci: 4,

      Cmdr Sci,
      LtC Tac,
      Lt. Eng,
      Lt. Sci,
      En. Tac,

      Hull: 25.000
      Shield Mod: 0.9
      Turn: 21
      Subsystem Targeting, Sensor Analysis
      can mount Dual Cannons
      built-in "Mask Energy Signature"

bascially a light, squishy, cannon mounting science vessel with the option to implement the same setup as the Fer'Jai on KDf side (perhaps switch the MES with a special impulse engine)

What I want is simple, a Tier IV Fleet Galaxy X that represents the true power a ship of the line should have. I'm sick of these little escorts overpowering a freaking cruiser like the enterprise E or odyssey. It should really be no contest but Lois Lane Stahl and the other devs have a weird Defiant fetish.

      What I *wish* for especially...

There is a fictional ship I have in mind that's been floating around in my head for almost seven years now, it belongs to the race that my toon is.

If it were to exist in this game...

Lets see... 6 weapons slots fore and aft BUT BUT BUT! I couldn't change them out. the first 4 would be powder cannons, same attack arc as Beam arrays, the 5 would be a Rail gun, limited by the DBB firing arc. 6th would something like the Lobi rapid fire missile launcher, but the warhead would be something in line with a Tri-Cobalt, and not really rapid fire.

      That fore and aft.

Before you all start yammering, think about this. This ship is covered in kinetic energy weapons. I won't be able to do a lot to your shields, but if they go down, I will ruin you.

      Hull: 72,000
Yeah, that's a lot, but my ship was designed in a universe where shielding is limited and rare. Theoretically, it could headbutt the chevron off an Oddy and still function. Certain features would be heavily damaged, but...

      Shields: Energized Smart Particle Shielding
A heavy but limited shield system. This is all or nothing. When it's on, it's almost impenetrable. But it goes both ways. if I want to hit you, I need to lower it.

      Special Abilities
Hull Plating Polarization Cloak: A cloaking system where the hull plating of the ship is polarized in a certain way, making it mirror like. in deep space, this is fairly effective by visual standards. Sensors are scattered to a very limited extent, technology is far enough along, it's not going to be able to sneak well at all.
Twin Ion Cannons: A pair of massive weapons attached to the lower half of the ship, powered directly by the Ion Drive Core of the ship itself.
Think of it like the Galaxy Dreadnought's Spinal Lance, but triple the power, change it from two shots to a three second stream, limit it's firing arc to 25 degrees, and give it a 5 minute cooldown. I still need to think on how it will affect things in the Star Trek Universe. This is the most powerful weapon my character's people have. It's meant to be an emergency use sort of thing, because it's strong enough to burn out the barrels pretty quick if it's used a lot. It is a massive energy discharge that will let everyone in the sector know when it's fired.

      Turn rate of 5.

Boff stations? LT Commander Tac, Sci, and Engineering, 1 each.

The vessel is meant to be a dreadnought warship, the strongest in the fleet at Rage's point in time, and the flagship of the entire naval armada.
Canonincally, it has many more guns and kinetic weapons, and the Ion cannons can fire without cooldown, but still risk barrel burnout.

Yeah, it's OP as hell, but Rage's people have been at war for as long as the Klingon Race has existed at least, and his race is ancient. Their evolutionary path is a bit slower to an extent, they completely bypassed the Steam era, and still struggle with directed energy weapons. the Ion cannon is just a massive semi-refined discharge from an extremely powerful drive core.

Also, for the sake of playing along with it, the ship is not warp-capable, but does have a faster-than-light drive. It moves at a constant speed of a warp 7 equivalent using a created spacial distortion.

I'd like to see about 7 more Vulcan vessels (including an independent shuttlecraft), an Andorian shuttle/fighter, battlecruiser, and reconnaissance vessel, a Caitian science ship, a Ferasan escort, and a playable Gorn ship that doesn't look just like all of the others...

...Honestly, if I had my way, I would give all races (including aliens) a unique introduction and a full set of exclusive T1 and T2 ships, plus Level 50 Content-viable refits, plus special bridges, ship interiors and a few unique weapons, even if it took two years... but that's a bit off topic.

Not being a traditionalist in the true sense (don't believe in the canon and non canon argument) - I would like to see the Federation Class Dreadnoughts.

One in TOS makeup as in the Starfleet Tech manual and one refit as in TWoK.

I just hope that these are comparable to the Excelsior class. Maybe predecessors to the Galaxy Dreadnought that is already in the game. This would give an opportunity to improve the Galaxy Dreadnought for the trio also.

Dreadnought (Federation TOS), Dreadnought Retrofit (Federation TWoK), Dreadnought Refit (Future Galaxy)?

I'd like to see two additional Dreadnoughts, because they're so awesome.

1.) Fleet Dreadnought Battlecruiser (5 Engi, 2 Sci, 3 Tac), with the 10% fleet upgrades. This, obviously, would be for fleet credits and modules.

2.) Mirror Dreadnought Cruiser (as seen in Mirror Universe Incursion[sp?]) with 4 Tac, 3 sci, 3 engi. This one would be for Lobi or a lockbox ship.

My suggestion would just require some stat tweaking... you could use the in-game models! Please Cryptic!

Doesn't matter, it's still a licensing issue with Bad Robot productions, so that would be a no.
I would like to see a Nebula version of either the Odyssey or the Sovereign, a Federation carrier that follows Starfleet designs, a Soyuz costume for the Miranda, the Jupiter design to be deleted from the timeline, sharks with friggin lasers on their heads and a partridge in a pear tree.
