If you're going to let people swap ships in sector space as if they have their entire flotilla following them around, then let us have tailors on our ships. That is a LOT less far fetched than swapping ships in sector space.
Some of this looks great i hope they bring Q back with John De Lancie doing the voice. That would be nice.
The revamp of old episodes is nice but thats nothing for the vet players thats great for newer players but you need to add some meat for older player. Lastly getting rid of hourly is a bad move. I appreciate the weekend events but they should be on top of not instead of hourly. I myself rather enjoy a good portion of hourly events and that they cycle its convienent.
But when we had the dyson even this weekend i had some time to make good on it. I think you should add weekend events and refine the hourly events. if some are not being played then fix that dont remove. The crafting event is use full if you want to craft but crafting has falling behind so badly it not worth doing for profit and the only good item is the aegis set. The double academy learning event is stupid. The event for 4k dilithium in an hour is relaxing when there are enough instances open that people are not overcrowding eachother. But bonus marks is awesome, mirror universe, officer reports. SO dont remove, keep, reveamp, and add.
I`ve had a peek on tribble and personally I like the new ship switch feature it has been nicely implemented and together with the saveable ship set up this will save a lot of wasted time and leave more time to actually play the zones.
I`m also looking forward to seeing the tim russ / tuvok storyline, he`s defiantly one of my top 10 favourite actors from voyager.
When I think about everything we've been through together,
maybe it's not the destination that matters, maybe it's the journey,
and if that journey takes a little longer,
so we can do something we all believe in,
I can't think of any place I'd rather be or any people I'd rather be with.
"... you will be able to easily switch between your starships in sector space and social zones..."
I like the idea of making it easier to switch ships with saved build-outs (much needed) but I think you should only be able to do so at shipyards (including Fleet). Having access to every ship you own anywhere in Sector space strikes me as too much like magic. Sure, you can technobabble an explanation about using subspace like the Elachi or the like but that's just another way of saying Bag of Holding. Star Trek is supposed to be Science Fiction, not Science Fantasy; please don't strain my ability to suspend disbelief any further than necessary.
1) It is a common standard practice (having been both tactically and strategically sound as long as there have been fleets/navies) for a single ship to do recon/other on its own as needed; not the entire Line it is a part of. Rather the Line as a whole, which would travel together in wartime, engaging each action with all ships at once is seldom done and only when it is determined to be necessary. So the Line Captain/Commodore/Admiral makes the determination how to best carry out orders/missions, deploying the best ship for the job and holding the others in reserve.
2) STO is a Game. Many players are tired of having to take time away from action/activities (whether their pref is farming or fighting or exploring) to go from A to B to C to do anything/everything. And games giving players what they want is how they stay in Business.
So there you go Two (2) real world reasons for it, the 1st of which works as in-universe explanation that makes sense. Writers for the series deliberately ignored that reality because having the rest of the line show up to save the day would make for very short and un-dramatic episodes.

Also needed a T6 Science Cruiser, that can wear any Science or Cruiser skin.
