I would like to register a complaint about how the Battlezone Command Credits are gained. Currently, they are strewn along the ground, after an area has been captured. Anyone can come along and pick these credits up, whether or not they participated in the fight. This is especially annoying if you are on the nissions to collect these or to request reinforcements.
Could you please come up with some other way to distribute those, to be fair to those that actually participated in the fight?
I remain empathetic to the concerns of my community, but do me a favor and lay off the god damn name calling and petty remarks. It will get you nowhere.
I must admit, respect points to Trendy for laying down the law like that.
I have to agree, they need to give credit where credit is due.
If you captured a point by yourself, you should earn 100% of the credit. If there are two or more, credit is divided by your participation (clicking consoles / killing).
Honestly, it was really ignorant of the Dev Team to believe that nothing was going to happen over these pink balls, when there are two missions that rewards Dilithum. Of course people are going to steal, push and shove other players out of the way. It's called human greed!
You said you wanted players to work as a team, then have the blasted credit chits be tradeable. So what if players try to sell off their extras or turn them in, better than then causing contention.
Also, they should reduce the reward of the Transporters. They are an easy favorite for resetters.
Yep.... I'm over it. Zerging for these credits sucks the fun out of these battle zones. Especially when these folks appear out of nowhere and steal the spoils of your solo flip. Nuh uh.
Quite honestly, I'm not sure how Cryptic didn't foresee how irresponsible this would become. Sounded like a pretty terrible idea to me. Though, to be fair, it's my only gripe about this battle zone. The rest is pretty great.
I think a more fair result would be to have command credits earned by kills and/or progress achieved.
I know! Just now have this jerk taking Credits off Voth I killed, just went up and took it. And he did it again and again, which to me is starting to border on harassment in stealing credit that was going towards my daily.
All I can say, I'm starting to go into full rant mode over this.

The whole "drop-and-compete" concept makes very little sense to me, as it does not truly qualify as a reward.
There was one guy the other day, who kept running to the same spots me and my team went to, and stood just outside of aggro range and waited.
Then, when the area completed, he swept the areas as well as he could, rinse-repeat.
When I confronted him about it (/tell, Get lost leech), he DID participate after having send me a /tell back "absolutely not", but only until he thought I wasn't watching anymore, and then went back to his leeching.
If the problem was that he took the credits, then I would have just switched instance, but the REAL problem is, that if too many do this, it makes the map unnecessary long, eventually resulting in people leaving the area all together, which in turn will make it even harder to complete the zones within reasonable amount of time.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
I got a GM warning yesterday for calling out a credit stealer.
The person had nothing to do with the cap at all. Then as I started collecting they ran in with a speed boost and grabbed 2/3's of the credits.
So they do nothing, run in after the cap, grab the credits, I call them out for it, and I get the warning...
There was a GM in the game? And watching chat? Pics or it didnt happen!:D
OT: I think the credits should come in the loot pills when you kill Voth. small amount for white pills, medium for green and more for blue. This way you have to actualy participate during the capture to earn them because the only way to get the loot pills is to kill things. If you follow a wolf pack of players and BOFF's but just stand in one spot during the capture you wont be able to collect loot from kills and thus wont be getting any command credits even if the point is captured and you shot someone once.
Having them drop for anyone to take makes for crappy teamwork and gives leeches one more thing to collect. Having them automaticaly given also gives one more thing to leeches for no effort.

IMO they should just award a set amount of them with the usual dilith/mark reward for claiming a battle zone objective. Would make it better suited to be fair, but unfortunately can still be exploited by leechers.
"Summon Reinforcements" mission - Reduced the amount needed from a count of 20 to a count of 5. This means that ensigns go from being worth 5% to being worth 20%. Lieutenants and above will automatically complete the mission
Only reason to pick them up (imo). Will be much easier now to complete the quest.
It is a sad commentary on the state of humanity when you see people fighting over something that is basically worthless. It is also sad to see somebody rushing to grab up something that they do not know what it is, what it does, or how to use it.
Day 2 I did see a guy doing just that rushing around trying to beat out everybody then asking in zone what these "pac man thingys" were for. It just shows the greed and nastiness in some people. I have teamed with random people who we were the only two to cap a point or collect command credits. Then watch this other "teammate" rush around like crazy getting all of them save the 4 or 5 I get. Then not calling reinforcements saying they only have 5 or 10. So here I am being forced to drop team or just deal with it and save up enough 3 or 4 at a time.
I myself only get as many as I need to complete the reinforcements quest then just stop collecting them. I think more people should do likewise. If you are not on the quest or have completed it then leave the command credits for somebody else who does. Your eternal soul is not worth 2 or 3 marks.

This is basically what I do. I collect what I need and leave the rest. I personally think all the whining about this trivial amount of dilithium is being overstated. I run hours in the zone on different toons and usually get enough credits after 3 or 4 capture points. Sure people run around and grab them but that's the idea. I just do the mission because its extra on top but I'm not seeing this widespread conspiracy everyone is pointing to. I think its more important that people know that they expire after two hours so if you don't need them then leave them for someone who does. You can only do the mission once every 20 hrs. So any credits over 120 you're just wasting your time.

I have actually noticed more players bopping in to help me, and move to the next zone without taking any of the cotton candy.
I usually solo quiet sections, or move to instances with few players when I need to complete those missions. That said, I can easily see how this feature could be gamed, and see countless arguments on [Zone].
I think when your fighting in a zone the players helping you automatically get put on a team with you... Perhaps this would help evenly spread players around and alleviate the problem of a 1 man army. Maybe they should make the ground zones que like STF's? Or mabe walking into a Zone automatically teams you with the other players in that zone. By Zone I mean each of the little areas you fight in. Than add a "vote to kill" option that allows your team to vote on whether or not the zone becomes a mini pvp mAtch against AFK'ers and griefers You click players name then click "vote to kill" if the a majority of your team votes yes you get to kill that player ONE time... Perhaps you would need a unanimous vote? And you would have to vote each time you wanted to kill that player. The stipulations I listed would keep it from being a big time griefing tool, I considered limiting it to say 10 kills per hour so that they can't relentlessly hunt the same player... But if it was any lower than 10 they would just die the number of times necessary and keep on AFK'ing and griefing...

And then the battlezone becomes a ghost town. No pvp of any kind like that please.
All you need to do is leave the items as drops like loot, or as rewards for capturing the point. A reward for participating, instead of a griefable punishment. Reward works better than punishment.

Everything I said was was mostly a joke... I would LOVE to have the ability to kill annoying players!!!
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
Seen a few threads on this now, and I do agree, this running around collecting credits like mario/spyro/sonic et al is very tiresome and annoying, especially when other people can swoop along and steal a big bunch when they weren't even involved in the capture.
It would be much better if a weighted by contribution to the capture amount of credits went straight into your inventory along with the dyson marks & dil at the end of each capture.
However, there is an easy way to collect a large amount of credits quickly and do the call reinforcements daily without the stress, if you are an engineer or have an engineer boff with you, put a turret in a normal relay stand here and capture the point type of capture thing, 3 voth specialists will constantly spawn in these after they are taken, you can sit on your TRIBBLE melting them here and collect the credits they drop, which are worth 4 each instead of just one.
For the last few days, I have been noticing a rise in the ugly side of the Dyson Battlezone that just taking all the fun out of the event.
We all well know about the problems with the Dyson Credit Thieves, who just do nothing and run in taking people's hard earnings. But we also got AFKers who just sit around, waiting for the Tyrannosaurs to appear, as other hard working players do the work. And we got the Shifters, which are those who actively hunt the Tyrannosaurs through a means I fear the Moderators will ban me for mentioning.
I am shocked that Perfect World adjusted the Galaxy Tour and the Foundry because of people exploiting the system, but given the amount of Dilithum these people are earning, I just cannot help but to feel unhappy. Because this game is being ruined by these types of people and makes it harder for us who have to earn Diltihium for our Fleets. Truly Tragic.
So I implore the Development Team if they would kindly take action.
There has been several posts about this, regarding the allocation of Command Credits etc. By far the easiest thing they can do is to have the Credits go direct to your inventory for however much you did to claim that area. So if you and your fleetie do it you both get 50% ect since you both did half and half.
The other thing to do is to stop people who are just sitting in zone from getting the daily missions done for them. I know it would be unpopular but it needs to be done. If you want that commendation you work for it there shouldn't be a welfare system but as ever I wouldn't hold my breath on any of these changes coming into effect.

No Drama, No Fuss, Just good old fashioned pew pew!
I just finished the battlezone, the area was empty, i have spend 40 minutes killing voth, there was like nobody there.
A then suddenly Tyrannosaurs showed up, and out of nowhere tons of people killed them before i even could get to them.
So 40 minutes for nothing
Did an accolade run tonight on my main for the consoles and crates... and saw a great number of people switching instances just like I was (i was just running around tagging the consoles, so i needed a blue zone or an active t-rex/reset going on)
I was astounded by how many people afk this. At least I was just staying out of everything and everyones way, lol. I did go rambo on the last instance I was in and soloed a rex though. Just for kicks.

Now with the requirements for the daily completion being lowered in the near future this should not be such an issue. All a player will need to do to get it is find an empty zone and take over a transporter area. The transporters are only guarded by 4 or 5 Voth and can be captured in a snap. That should get you about 30-40 credits. If I remember the tribble release notes it said that summoning anything over a LT will complete the mission.
If you only angry because of the Command Credits
there are certain pionts, if you take them the AI will constantly
attacking them with 3 Specialists
each of them dropping a Command credit
if you pick up you gain 4 for each = 12 at once
if you kill them quickly enough (Voth Pulswave Mk Xii purple) they spawn every 3 seconds

Basically the T-Rex Trollers can be dealt with two ways:
1) Force an exit and seal the command center when the instance resets. If the instance is active when you beam down, you beam down in a safe-area and cannot access the command center until the map resets. By force an exit, I mean a 15 second countdown where you can exit under your own power or a hard "map transfer" kicks in.
Frankly I'd replace the sealed "safe area" with an open encampment that has to be defended for a low-mark/dilth reward... same as any other portion of the map.
2) Institute a roving 1-hit-wonder ala Rover from The Prisoner. If you are standing around doing nothing VOOM you get hit with this. Get hit more than once you get locked in a plain featureless instance with a 45 min reset -- logging in and out doesn't get you clear either.
The rest of it boils down to "gamer children will be gamer children." No matter what kiddies are going to look for exploits and workarounds to make the game easier. That's just the nature of the beast.

That said, there have been some changes made to it on Tribble, so it might be worth looking at those since they will hit holodeck soon.
To be fair, thats the ONLY reason to get them.
