Actually... wasn't faulty hardware one of the reasons for a rather lengthy downtime just after the release of LoR?
It was because they revamped the steps to enter STO for one with the character selection screen which I whole heartedly approve. Still to this day though it's buggy. Sometimes I get the wrong ship on the wrong character with the name of the character displayed instead of the ship, like "These are the voyages of the U.S.S. "(character name instead of ship)"
I'm sure eventually it'll be a more stable login processs which this update is hopefully entailing beyond mech warrior suit support.
Is it just me or are the I.T. people on the West Coast just not aware?
Every time there is a software update at work our WEST COAST IT Department takes down the system here on the EAST COAST at PRIME TIME...working at an EMERGENCY VET CLINIC its very annoying to have 25 people standing in front of you you with barking dogs who need to be discharged and we have to look up codes and fees all by hand in a book thats 12" thick.
So why are all the update done on PRIME TIME EAST COAST TIME?... every time I see that STO gets an update its done during my PRIME TIME
You would THINK that for a few extra dollars you could afford to pay your staff to fix things on European PRIME time once in a while (Just Saying)
And how is it that just one update can cause so much to go wrong? You would THINK you would test it out on YOUR system fully before implementing the changes World Wide.
That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.

What ever its just a game.................
Usually maint is between 16 and 21 hours here (depending on patch time)... And I live in Denmark.
Now if thats not EU primetime, I don't know what is?
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
I get both morning and afternoon sunshine so I am quite happy.
That is pretty darn cool, I could have made a pic as well wasn't it for my buggy phone (too lazy to send it for repairs, it can still receive and do phonecalls.. most of the time).

i'd say being in the uk this is one thing that have got right. normally servers are back up after I've finished work. considering that Europe has a considerably larger population to take in to consideration. so doing maintenance/updates while most people would be at work/school etc is much appreciated. it's a global game not one just played by just a fraction on the east coast of America. there is no regional servers. so they do it with the least impact to the majorities prime gaming time. such as usa and euro time zone evenings. don't see maintenance or updates at them times do you normally???
