Hi Captains,
We will be bringing down Star Trek Online tomorrow, Thursday, October 17th, at 5AM PDT (click
here to view in your timezone) for maintenance and to apply a new patch.
Patch notes can be found here, and we expect this maintenance to last for 6 hours or less. The test server, launcher and access to manage your account may also be unavailable during some portions of the maintenance.
Friendly reminder: Downtime ETAs are not based off the size of the patch, but off what maintenance needs to be completed. The reason for the extended maintenance time frame is due to an infrastructure upgrade.
Thanks for your patience and understanding,
- The Star Trek Online Team

She eloped with D'Tan didn't she?
Toreth was probably off getting things ready in Q's Winter Wonderland for another round of Winter Epohh tags and breeding.
^Words that every player should keep in mind, especially whenever there's a problem with the game...
OHHHH MYYYYYY!
Cheers,
Brandon =/\=
For six hours of downtime, I expect a heck of a stability update :P
LTS, here since...when did this game launch again?
>Vice Admiral Elessedil here. My team infiltrated the mountain pass north of the Vastam Peaks. We found Toreth here, who went MIA from the Epohh Fields a while back. We found her whilst scouting out a Tal Shiar base that was cloaked very well; it almost escaped sensors without noticing.
We'll escort her back to her post, but it'll take a few hours for her to recover. She got some scraps of skin torn by the Hirogen. Until then, I suggest holding your epohh tags for later.
Elessedil out.

He's a Rom-*****. Ladies go wild for the "living in the sewers with the reunificationists" routine.
Get's em' every time.

LLAP, everyone.
For six hours Bran that infrastructure upgrade I would expect to resolve some issues...

DELTA PRICE RISING
At first, I thought she was sleeping off too many Romulan Ales the night before. Then I heard that the Epohh's were holding here hostage. Glad to see PWE met the nasty little varmints' demands.
In all seriousness, glad this is getting taken care of. And while 6hrs is no joke, I'm glad to see the early start to help alleviate gametime loss
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D58LpHBnvsI
how long til the voth come? with frikkin lazor beams
proberly after the the CC event has ended
DELTA PRICE RISING
Methinks someone is maybe swapping out/upgrading hardware (Or is it some ARC backend testing for the day Cryptic/PWE makes ARC mandatory? <-- And yes, I unfortunately think this will be the case in the near future, despite any player requests to the contrary - IE to keep ARC optional.)
PWE ARC Drone says: "Your STO forum community as you have known it is ended...Display names are irrelevant...Any further sense of community is irrelevant...Resistance is futile...You will be assimilated..."
Nope, the Epohhs finally turned on her. Dangerous, those things are. They had to hire a replacement.
While I am also rather certain that ARC being forced is semi-inevitable (I imagine Steam will remain an alternate portal), I don't think that they're going to be using this time to conduct that sort of testing. They probably ARE going to actually be upgrading infrastructure. I would suppose that, unless there was a serious problem anticipated, they wouldn't need to test ARC being mandatory that way on the back end.
well seeing as the servers will be offline for 6 hours I would say yes :P
DELTA PRICE RISING
... what? we're not there yet? dang
Here we go again. Nearly every time you guys do one of these, there will be trouble afterwards. Like servers crashing or other bugs, like when Azure Rescue went borked...
Hope this goes well, and that this will help reduce lag when the new FE is released, whenever that might be.
It better be worth 6hrs downtime Mr.Cereal Box...
Are we being trolled?
