It's funny but there was lots of talk about the next WW during the Summer Event, at least that I experienced.
Some suggestions from that were to bring back the Chel Grett and have it still available for Q Autographs (like last year) but to include another option for those that already have it (or earn it this year) and that was to include the option to trade Q-pics for a Breen Bridge and alternate skins for same Chel Grett. Or even an upgraded version (MK XII) Absolute Zero set.
I like the Winter Coats (and want some more Long Brown ones) and I expect to see the same scarves as last year with the amendment of 2012 to 2013 for the "annual" scarves.
A green nanopulse weapon (red, blue and purple have been had so I figure just change the colours every year until the rainbow is done ).
I figure same events as last year (same snowball guns) but with the addition of skating emotes like we have the dance emotes (so we can have a skating competition of some sort).
I agree we'll probably get to breed epohhs again, and it would be nice to choose marks but I'm not too bothered by them being Rom marks again (I'll just convert to Dil anyway).
My one hope is that we can get a "Jayne" knitted hat so we can all look "pretty cunning". I mean we ARE ripping on another well known IP with the light-sa... sorry... nanopulse Batleths/Lirpas (I would kill for a nanopulse tzunkatze falchion - well, maim) so why not the hat?

First let me say that I really enjoyed last year's Winter Wonderland. I had so much fun! The ice-running is my favorite part, especially the PvP race. I am really looking forward to this year's Winter Event, and have been since the Risian Event ended.

Rewards will be managed via the new Event Rep.
The same games/events as last year, possibly slightly updated/revised.
At least one new game/event.
Two Ships: The return of the Breen Chel Grett and a new Breen ship.
The ships will be Free via the usual manner: Grinding for 25 (out of ~35) days. It may not be possible to get both ships fully free on every character (unless of course you already have the Ghel Grett or photos left over from last year).
Buying additional "ship currency" (ie Q photos) will be possible (via Zen/Lobi).
The return of the same Winter Commodities/Currencies (Snow tags, 8x10 Autographed Q Photos, Andorian Sleigh Bells, etc.), possibly with additions.
Snow pile digging may be altered to remove exploits and/or reduce the ease of getting commodities/tags.
The raising, collecting, selling of Snow Epohhs will return. Possibly with a variant breed/color.
The return of the same holiday food, tribble, gear (frosted boots, snowman pet, snowball guns) with additions (new pet, new colored nanopulse weapon, etc.).
The return of the same costumes (hopefully updated/fixed for Romulan use).
The return of previous Winter Event-related accolades.
A new 2013 Scarf for all three factions. Possibly other new costume pieces.
A new 2013 Fleet Project ornament display.

An entirely new designed costume, customizable, not color-locked.
The new ship to be Science-based (we have plenty of Escort/Destroyers/Battleships).
Snow Epohhs convertible to Multiple-Choice Mark boxes like Risian Birds.
The return of the same races. I love the ice races. I don't mind if they are altered somewhat (a course change, for instance), but I hope there's still a daily solo-run and multi-hour PvP runs.
A new game/event for large groups (10-20 player teams), STF/Fleet event style.
A new PvP game/event, ideally snowball fight related.
New/additional accolades.

Not really. the Chel Grett is a KDF-style battlecruiser.
KDF Battlecruisers (except Bortas) have a 4/4 weapon layout, but while faster than a cruiser are slower than a true escort. Aside from the boff seating, it has very similar stats to a Vor'cha.
It wouldn't surprise me if a second breen vessel had some sort of destroyer variant stats. I would LOVE a sci focused variant of Chimera.

Personally the winter event is the PERFECT opportunity for Cryptic to introduce those 24th Century FED ships they've been yapping about wanting to make.... Not to mention adding KDF and or Romulan variants....

Personally the winter event is the PERFECT opportunity for Cryptic to introduce those 24th Century FED ships they've been yapping about wanting to make.... Not to mention adding KDF and or Romulan variants....

But if you want to know what might be giving people the idea it may just be that the Breen have this mystique about them as being associated with extreme cold environments (even though Weyoun said their homeworld was supposedly quite temperate) so a ship from that race seems linked with Winter in our minds after the last WW. Getting a "hot-rod" to blast around in during the summer time event reinforces this link in the minds of many (hot rod = summer, breen ship = winter).
I for one don't mind getting anything for free so truly don't mind what we get, if anything. And, whilst I don't mind what we get, I agree that something with science as its main focus would be welcomed more than an escort with sci/eng leaning and we have quite a few "alien" cruisers already too. Heck it could be a Husnock vessel, Zibalian transport, Tamarian ship, Kazon-Ogla warship (carrier?), Karemman Vessel, Son'a scout ship, Hirogen Hunting ship, or even a Dauntless (who's to say more of Arturis' people didn't survive and flee to the Alpha quadrant where they traded tech for a new home?) and I'll happily grind/skate my way to a new ship.

Snowmen should be replaced with Zombie (Assimilated) Reindeer. I wouldn't mind seeing those Nano Weapons again. I'm not sure on the ship (there will likely be one) as the Breen are the only race really associated with the cold (other than Andorians, but they're tied in to the Federation). They can't keep releasing new Breen ships cause eventually they'll run out of ideas.
Wouldn't surprise me if they simply re-awarded the Chel Grett. It's practical, and in the last year, it's a safe bet that many new characters have been created (both for new and existing players); and those characters wont have the ship.

At first I was thinking that they should offer the Chel Grett alongside a new ship, but then I got to thinking that if they did that then there'd be a strong argument for adding the bug ship too.
This would not be a good idea i think. The rarity of those ships (I don't have one) is part of their appeal. While there are more Chel Gretts out there (I shall never forget the apparent Breen invasion of ESD) they too are being seen less and less often, despite being a very decent ship.
Therefore, I'm hoping for a new and unexpected ship.
Alongside that, I hope for an event much like last year. A few, fun scheduled events and the ability to idly kick over snow ball piles looking for goodies. The snowman STF idea is also rather fun.
I'm looking forward to dusting off my snowball launcher.

I hope the event is something other than that annoying race from last year. To me at least, the ship wasn't worth the aggravation from it.
I'd like it to be something more difficult than the summer fly-through-the-rings but not as annoying as that race track.
I think they'll condense the winter commodities into a single token, much like the lohlunat favors. It makes buying items simpler, and it sounds like they want to standardize their seasonal events. Perhaps there will be an exchange console, but I hope I can keep my bells and candles as a collection of sorts.
I'm also expecting them to have another ship, but also the Chel Grett. The Jem'hadar attack ship gets re-released at least once a year, and it'd be odd if the special event ships couldn't be earned again. Existing 'retired' gift ships, like the basic Odyssey/Bortas and Ambassador/Kamarag retrofits at least have a fleet version of sorts. I think that a shiny new ship is a big part of the pull to the winter event, even though there are plenty of fun things to do. Maybe another Breen ship would be appropriate, but it'd be easier for another species' ship to be fresh and new, since it wouldn't have to 'outdo' the original Breen ship as much. I do really like the idea of saving up for a Breen bridge or costume, though. Anything with similar artistic and functional value to a starship.
Not really any thematic link to the winter event, but it'd be cool to have a Yridian Destroyer as a reward. Nice-looking ship that wasn't seen all that much on the shows.
