What are you expecting/hoping for from the next winter event?

Just in case you somehow missed it, there are 2 questions there:

1) What do you expect in this years winter event
2) What would you like to be in this years winter event?

and the lightly implied:

3) What do we know about this years winter event?

    You could still win the race when they threw the snowballs. I hope they offer a different ship for Q photographs as already have the breen ship so will be dissapointed if they give the same ship/

    Im hoping

    New outfits - which is very likely
    New event to go alongside the PVP race and the Snowdude fight
    The Bunnies will be for all types of marks not just Romulan like how the birds were


    We will probably have the race thing to get the Breen ship again.


    Im looking forwards to this years one as last year was good fun

    I'm hoping it'll be a different Breen ship. Mostly because I have a name lined up if it is ;)

    Although any different ship will be gladly excepted, and a repeat of the Chel Grett would also be useful... Just don't offer 2 different ones! :P

    Clothing: I'm expecting a return of all the same, with a 2013 scarf.
    I'd like Ushanka's - although there's not exactly a lot of headgear in the game, and historically, it's been quite buggy. So I'm not too optimistic about that...

    A hot spring alongside the missing swimwear from the summer event would be nice. :P

    Tholian snowbank survival pits..... make bets on which one will survive the longest.....

    A new ship, some new costumes... and the return of the events, they were fun. And yes, hopefully the Winter Epohhs will be tradeable for all types of marks this time.

    What do you expect in this years winter event

    I'm expecting that the winter event this year will be very much like last years event, the Chel'Gret being the big prize again, and that the activities will pretty much stay the same.

    The only difference I expect to happen is the Chel'Gret moving into the holiday rep system and perhaps the addition of a Romulan scarf.

    Well if i remember correctly Dan stahl did say something about a group pve snowman fight, where the snowmen have taken over a gingerbread town and 20 players must recapture the town and, save the gingerbread towns folk. I think it was Dan or it could of been al ( geko ) but, it was a priority one podcast where it was mentioned. Like everyone else a new ship would be nice, oh and new clothing and new weapons.... not to much.

    First, I'd hope the Winter Epohhs are tradeable for as much marks as they were last year, not the parrots' very underwhelming rate. It'd be nice if the tags were also as simple to obtain as last year and the marks to be of the player's choice.

    I'd like if the ship remained the Chel Grett, but that's not gonna happen (unless they offer a choice), since they are preparing another playable ship for it.

    I'd like the accolades to remain as they were.



    I expect marks in form of Snow Epohhs will sadly be much harder to come by and in smaller quantities.

    I expect the two races returning and an overhaul to the 'Snowpocalypse' event.
    TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class.
    Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider.
    Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.

    Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!

    Hmm... let's ponder what the second winter event LACKED that the first one had...

    There were the gift boxes, but.... the primary function of the gift boxes was getting the holiday commods.... Stuff like the bugship were party favors.

    The OTHER thing that I can think of that didn't return was the original nanopulse weapons. the second winter event had [pur] nanos instead of the originals(which are either red or blue)

    so what does this tell us?

    Likely a new ship. the first event had the bugship parked where the breen ship was this time. What will be parked there for the third event?

    we'll probably get a new color of nanopulse weapons to replace the [pur] ones from last time.

    I quite agree with new outfits and if they have to bring epohhs back in then so be it for the bunny fans

    More outfits
    People who don't have breen ship can claim it for the same amount of q autographs
    People who already have breen ship get another ship or maybe a breen outfit so you can look like princess leia in Star Wars return of the jedi. (when she has the mask on not the gold bikini)

    PVP snowball fights (A area where it is free for all in a snowball fight rather than having to rp it.

    PVE Snowball men and king zombie
    This was good last year so more of this

    If they do a second Breen ship it would make a lot of sense for it to be a science vessel, but we don't know yet IF it will be a Breen ship.

    Instead of having to collect X amount of something over X amount of days. On Christmas Day itself have a big decorated tree and a gift for every player under the tree.

    Instead of making the Winter event about slogging away at earning something, just make it about having fun events and fun rewards. Players interacting peacefully with each other.

    We spend all the year killing this or blowing up that, Let this year be about having silly fun. Sled races, snowball fights, building snowmen.

    Keep the ice race, but have it on ice skates, so like the floaters on Risa you can hire or buy skates.

    Maybe the Carrier/Battleship or the frigate? :O

    Tradeable Breen ship incase I go "hmmm maybe I should of got X ship on this character" ... or you know.. maybe I want to sell it for EC.

    Got Frosted Boots? If you used them on the lake they did function as ice-skates.

    All I want is STO to be UP and running....looks like lots of inactivity around here and DEVS don't have much strategy to "motivate" players...except for them to show them more boxes/ships that are ego driven rather than to make this game more robust. In short just full their pockets no matter the cost of alienating hard core gamers.

    I predict there would be more CASUAL players but lose their DESIRE to be here for long since its becoming boring and a grinding orgy.:D

    I disagree with this for one major reason a lot of people are either out of town or will have time to be online in the game on Christmas day. Due to work or spending time with family and friends. However I would not be adverse to a week event where they give you presents over the 12 days of xmas varying from consumables getting more expensice stuff all the way to a ship on xmas day., That means even if you can;t get the ship you can gert some presents from Santa Branflakes or Rudolph Sthal

    Hoping that we have a new ship and the return of the Chel Grett. Would be nice to have the option as I have new alts since the last event and the Chel Grett fits me well.

    Also, looking forward to posts about the male toons not being able to wear the mid-cut jackets is sexist. No stake in it, but the discussions were entertaining.
