I figure same events as last year (same snowball guns) but with the addition of skating emotes like we have the dance emotes (so we can have a skating competition of some sort).

You could still win the race when they threw the snowballs. I hope they offer a different ship for Q photographs as already have the breen ship so will be dissapointed if they give the same ship/

The winter event was my absolute favorite, I love those missions. Yes a lot of grinding.. hope it does not get to much high prices like the summer event.
I hope its the same ship so I don't have to go there again. Or better yet don't do another winter/summer event for all I care. Those resources can be better used for more permanent content instead of these stupid events.
But yea... in the talking mission Tran said there was a group of Breen that were fed up with the current direction of the Thot.... that means whole groups of Breen that does hint at a playable faction.
MY take on that was something akin to a change in the Breen political climate. Not necessarily as dramatic as a civil war, but perhaps a shift in leadership.

It's a domino effect. Social changes eventually lead to political changes. Now the Breen people are trying to decide what's best for their race, and whether their leaders know what's best.

Meaning a POSSIBLE playable faction.... maybe... if people remembered or were interested in playing it.

We really wouldn't need a mini-faction for this though AND maybe it won't be a ship.
Maybe for the event or perhaps if we get a Breen box we'll get to make a Breen character(complete with a slot) and after character creator we'd start the toon in current faction of choice. Would very much fit what Tran was tlaking aboot too.
This way they wouldn't need to do an entire faction tutorial and their own missions. That would take a long time to do.
My only thing against new ship being Breen is that we might get a Breen box in the future, and would remove possibilities of what can go in it.
I'm expecting some concepts will be carried over from the summer event. Three specific things that I didn't like about the event, or I should say could be adjusted to improve it.
Unified currency. While one currency favors was nice for inventory space it made trade on the exchange a bit boring. The four common currencies and two uncommon currencies worked well on the previous WW. Please don't unify the currencies for WW.
On the summer event there were two activities which were time limited. In general this worked well but by the end of the event I still liked flying around, but wasn't interested in the dancing mini game. If there was a third non time limited method of getting the WW favors or currency that would be nice.
Eggs only dropping from one event. Yes you could buy them for favors but the price was about double what I thought a good price would be. This increased the time investment just to pick up an egg once a day. I would have rather have run one or two epohh tag races instead (like the previous WW).
I know this is a bit of a mash up of summer event aspects but I suspect some of that is going to feed into the next event.

Yeah, the issue the original event had was rectified by not making the trinkets CBoP. Being able to sell/trade them made a HUGE difference in how easy it was to get stuff.

Well, the two events have quite few similarities. totally different themes, but mechanically they're similar.
New take on the Chel Grett Race: Now you have to race through the ice river and avoid the 100 Breen that are set up to auto lunge kick you in the face as you run by. Have fun :P

That's quite the paradox, how could you nerf nerf when the nerf is nerfed. But how would the nerf be nerfed when the nerf is nerfed? This allows the nerf not to be nerfed since the nerf is nerfed? But if the nerf isn't nerfed, it could still nerf nerfs. But as soon as the nerf is nerfed, the nerf power is lost. So paradoxally it the nerf nerf lost its nerf, while it's still nerfed, which cannot be because the nerf was unable to nerf.
I really liked last year's winter event. And i really hope the aspects of the pvp racing, doffing, snowball fights, accolade hunt will return. About the ship i don't care, although the Breen ship of last year is a fantastic ship!
However i only have one message about what i truly hope and expect:
