    (2) I think that non-"expert" opinions are invalid

the value of "expert" is variable but covers people who know, or at least think they know, something about a subject.

Voyager had the equipment to undertake the task? (FYI: Voyager had the "best of the best" in sensors, computers, and warp-core equipment)

voyager was on the hind teat

it was captained by a failed officer (who was mentally unstable)
    the tactical officer was INSANE
the helm officer a convicted criminal
    the circuitry substandard "bio ware"
the ship itself a shoddy job

it was at best a third choice
the enterprise could have done the job in half the time AND would have gotten home the same day

like the temporal lockbox, god, that made my hair stand up i was so mad at the 12 year old explanation for why we had equipment from the future..

Okay, one tip for you and everyone else griping over lockboxes.

Stop trying to find reason or sense in them and the content they offer.

We have equipment from the future because it makes Cryptic money, same with Jem ships, Tholian ships, Terran ships, Ferengi ships and Spoonhead ships.

The sole purpose of the lockboxes and all their content is making money, as much as possible.

That is the purpose of every gamble function in every MMO, whether they be virtual slot machines or lockbox equivalents.

The sooner you accept this and stop trying to find canon reasons for Feds and Klingons having all kinds of enemy ships, the less you will rage whenever you see them in game.

There are no canon reasons for players having these.

Even if there is no swimwear my Orion will be going as-is - with no weapons.

Green orions are a Sub breed (a minority)

Most orions are actually a sort of ruddy colour

This was canon BEFORE the holodeck program enterprise messed it up

    Yes

But frankly its not worth it

everyone now thinks the Orions are Green thugs with bolts in their brains
mindless , little better than the borg

so believe what you like im past caring

but orions have hair (baldness is not canon )
they also are not all green nor are they all half naked

My KDF will not be attending unless I get a plausible reason that they would be at a Federation resort world during war-time. They will continue to board and takeover Fed transports during the event.

This Risa summer event is also suppose to be like R&R time from war between factions.:D

Many generations of her family were interbreading with Captain Kirk and other White/Blonde Starfleet officers. We don't really no the true amount of kids Kirk has out there in the galaxy - quite a few I would suspect going by how many women he took to bed.

    From Memory Alpha:

After the last live-action appearance of an Orion, in 1969's "Whom Gods Destroy", the next such appearance of the species was finally realized 35 years later, in 2004's "Borderland". The Orions appeared en masse with several actors portraying brutish male members of the species and model Bobbi Sue Luther starring as an Orion slave girl. Although The Animated Series' coloring difficulties had caused the Orions' appearances to remain true to Gene Roddenberry's original vision of the species as rarely having a green complexion, "Borderland" continued the ultimate Original Series depiction of the Orions as usually green-skinned. The look of the Orion males in the episode was extrapolated from the Orion females in The Original Series episodes.

The final draft of the episode's script features a different version of the scene from that used in the episode. In the scene as first conceived, the illusory Earth trader teases Pike by suggesting that, as former captain of the starship Enterprise, he used to send Earth "blistering reports," such as "'the Orion traders taking shocking advantage of the natives....'" Intentionally referring to Vina, the illusory space officer asks Pike, "Do any of you have a green one? They're dangerous, I hear." This version of the scene implies that writer and series creator Gene Roddenberry originally conceived the Orions to have more varied colors of skin than just green.

Captain Pike with the Orion girl who could appear as a blond - blue-eyed - white girl
