EDIT:
The way it's currently implemented it's per-computer--it's stored in the same file that graphics settings are in.
The way it currently works, if you use "Default", each character will see the default for that faction. So KDF see Klingon and Feds see Starfleet, etc. However, if you override it with a set color option, it will override the default for all characters on that computer. Changing this behavior is definitely not trivial.
Is there any way i can copy my keybinds and video options and hud options form holodeck to tribble, i hate how its all messed up on tribble compared to my settings on holodeck.

Yes.
Navigate to the directory where you have the game installed.
Open \Live\localdata.
You'll see there a file named gameprefs.pref
Copy that file, and put it in \Playtest\localdata.
Et voila.
I am happy about the warp core ideas. However when they appear as drops, this brings up a point. certain equipment drops could use additional thought:
i could see ship equipment drops require tractoring or stablizing before transport. and/or require repairs before equipped into your ship.
in canon, transporting a warp core from a destroyed ship would be approached very carefully. and the chance for it to fail would obviously increase if it is moved and certainly installed without being repaired or stablized. this could add another element to gameplay and perhaps give a use to crafting sites. (damaged equipment drops)
if you have enemy ships around... tractor or approach unstable cores at your risk... if they fire at them, they could detonate. on the flip side.. if you fire at it, you could use it as a mine against enemies.
Thx i hope it does all the hud settings and key rebinds i did as well.
Btw a mate of mine is getting crashes with tribble , 2 or 3 of em in quick succession on esd just rotating the camera afaik he told me. Bit vague i know but thought id mention it.
ok couple bugs. The only way you can leave First City is via the transporter. HOwever, when you get to Qo'nos system, the depart system button is greyed out and I can't leave unless I transwarp.
Edit: Scratch that, I can get to the TW menu, but all TW locations are greyed out and unclickable.
And is a Customizable Minimap Button Layout going to become an option?
And 2 Opinions=
The Mirical Worker Trait is unbalanced and insensitive to pvp- It needs to be changed to Dividing the cooldown in half.
In pvp, this would be every 90 sec I can heal myself for ~70% of my HP. because most pvpers can take 25% of ur health in less then 5seconds.
And Going Down Fighting Trait
I made a post about this already. I used it to raise my resistance to a jaw dropping 80%. It needs to be changed where it increases Resistance Up to 15% instead of 30%
Or rework it completely, maybe something like "Bonus Crit Chance Sacaling with Health"
At 50% +0.5% critH
at 40% +1% critH
at 25% +3% critH
at 10% +5% critH
at 5% +10% critH
and 1 last thing, Going down fighting was fine being activatable from 100%.
AND I haven't seen any mention of Neural Blast Lib Borg trait. Will that become a passive 100% inclusive skill? All Borg have Neural Blast, All Vulcans have Mind meld, Etc?
or will they still be selectable.
Went in a Romulan DSE and im checking out the new romulan models, also the death explosion i think due to the black holes they use for warp cores, effects im seeing when they blow.
Not a fan of the shining effect and the "fast" rotating of a warbird when they die and the explosion could be better if it was slower like the shockwave i mean and maybe not use a very light green nigh on yellowish shockwave. I think this ruins the intended effect. Needs more dark green as well as that new romy warbird its far too bright..
Edit - hmm for some reason they arnt as yellow, maybe some other player did something to them that made them go a bit more yellow when they died, who knows. Still the romy warbird at least imo needs a darker green coat and less paneling on its hull like it was in the shows.
I think these are the best patch notes I have ever seen!
Awesome the Full Impulse button in sector space acts as slipstream drive.
The warp cores are also awesome but I am a bit worried about how much they will cost since they will be in extremely high demand.
And leadership was fixed!
We will be bringing the Tribble server down for maintenance to apply a new update.
Traits:
[*]Engineer:
[*]Space - Grace Under Fire
Whenever you are hit for more than 25% of your hull in a 5 second period, the cooldown on Miracle Worker is reset.
This effect cannot occur more often than once per 90 seconds.
90 seconds is too long. All this does is act like a half-timer on miracle worker in a sort of way.
It would be preferable if instead of resetting miracle worker that it triggers a proc similar to the borg 3-piece and 2 piece combo: a shield regen boost and a hull heal-over-time+cleanse effect. Make it so that both trigger when your hull drops under 25%.
[*]Space - EPS Manifold Efficiency:
Using a Battery for one subsystem also gives 25% of its effect to other subsystems.
Excuse me? Why the hell is an engineer ability linked to a consumable? No. HELL no.
How about instead making it so that when a power setting has its base power set at 70 or higher it will grant 10% of its power to other systems? Aka +7 to other systems. Or something like that.
[*]Science:
Space - Photonic Capacitor:
Science powers you activate reduce the remaining cooldown of Photonic Fleet by 15 seconds.
This ability cannot trigger more often than once every 15 seconds.
I like it in principle but... you guys do realize that photonic fleet summoned ships are absolute garbage right?
I would much rather prefer an ability that boosts a ship's sci stats for 15 seconds based on the stats the last science skill uses. Aka fire grav well and your particle and graviton are boosted by +20 or something for 15 seconds. Effect stacks if you fire multiple sci abilities that use same stat(s).
Omg this may even make science abilities FUNCTIONAL for once.
[*]Space - Conservation of Energy:
When Energy Weapons hit your shields, your exotic damage has a chance to be increased by 10%, stacking up to 3 times.
Exotic Damage is any damage which is increased by the Starship Particle Generators skill.
Sigh. Horrible idea. Gravity well would receive no benefit because the damage it does is based on how close to the center the target is..and since graviton stat SUCKS in effect due to the stupid increase in inertial dampener effectiveness then the grav well 30% dmg boost you put here simply only works for just one or two ticks.
Particle burst would be useless still even with a 30% boost.
No.. no..
Instead give science ships something really useful for a change.
How about an ability that functions off the sensor analysis of sci ships? Jemhadar carrier has something similar so why not extend it to sci captains?
When a ship has X amount of sensor analysis tokens, the target ship becomes significantly debuffed against drain abilities, sensor attacks and disable attacks. Think of it like a 'sci ability' love-lube
[*]Ground -Medical Vanguard:
All powers you use on allies give them perfect shields for 4 seconds, along with a moderate Shield Heal.
This has potential for significant exploiting and it butts in on engineer shield abilities. Besides, shields have nothing to do with medicine.
Why not simply make this ability be an aoe, 50% effectiveness 'share with team' of any heal or buff the sci captain applies to himself?
Aka if I put melorazine on myself and then pop a hypo to heal myself then all my team-mates get 50% of my melorazine effect and 50% of my heal strength.
Easy no?
[*]Tactical:
Space - Last Ditch Effort:
While Go Down Fighting is active, you gain 10% Damage Resistance to all damage types when you attack a target, stacking up to 3 times.
As long as this is to the hull only and not make this into a freaking exploitable shield super-resist issue...
[*]Space - Crippling Fire:
Your critical hits reduce your target's Accuracy by 5%, stacking up to 3 times.
I cant be nice about this. Seriously what clueless person is making these things and who is his boss that approves it?
Escorts already have MASSIVE defense rating bonuses and are THE ships that deliver crit hits like crazy. All this will do is create a huge exploitable mechanic where escorts will just need to shoot stuff in order to tank it (via def rating tanking).
I mean seriously.. what the hell are you guys thinking?
[*]Ground - Situational Awareness:
All of your Grenade powers now expose their target in addition to their normal effects.
Does this include the KHG grenade launcher?
Warp Cores:
Ok the warp cores are nice 'n all. But theyre just for engineering.
Will science be getting any form of warp core stuff?
I also want to point out one rather unfair and biased thing about the capacitor ability:
It really only benefits escorts. A free +wep power boost? C'mon now. Aux/Engine/Shield dont benefit from a short duration power boost that much. Its why if you run your silly metric programs youd figure out that wep batteries are used exponentially more than others.
How about making the capacitor a bit more friendly to all ship types?
Yes, let it give a power boost..but to all power levels. Say, +10 for a short time. Make that be the default benefit from activating it.
Now, rather than 4 very rare enhancements (wep/shld/eng/aux) you can get your core to boost... why not make it boost each subsystem in its own unique way? Call it.. 'capacitor bypass'. This bonus is passive and active all the time.
Wep: Reduces cost of weapon fire by -2 per weapon type.
Shld: cuts down shield regeneration rate by 2 seconds (from 6 to 4).
Engn: increases def rating per speed setting for a max of +5% bonus at top speed.
aux: increases the effect of aux power on aux based abilities to be equivalent of it having +10 aux power on top of currently available aux power. Breaks the 125 cap.
There is a new mission on the available list called "Stronghold". Is this a new mission and was it put up prematurely since I can't do anything at Nimbus?
I love everything about this patch. I am not too sure why they would even stress about Windows XP as that is an ancient and unsupported OS now in every other market, but still an awesome patch either way. I am very excited about the Warp Cores. Maybe I'll finally be able to get some great speeds while ditching that borg engine to get my visuals back on other sets

I'm on a fresh transfer and had all my stuff...
Please enable us to buy a token with Zen to faction change a 25th Century FED to a TOS FED.
Thanks. Because i rely on mouse 4 for running and 4 and 5 for space combat, i cant play without em really.
now i found a new Bug that lets the Game Crash to Desktop
everytime i except the new Reputation Q / Crisstall ... Mission

But yah great add ons... cant wait til it uses same amount of "Space " on my computer!
TheyGet SUPERIOR REPTILAIN stregnth!

LOVE IT But... too Green. Like romulan. Can you try something a little different? Love the orange... just Geen is overpowering.
My mate as a dominion HEC ON ESD!! lol. he is the ship when he should be a ground toon. so funny.

On another note there are ships all over ground maps. http://i733.photobucket.com/albums/ww336/Wilv79/screenshot_2013-04-02-21-33-30_zps1d00ab7d.jpg
I remember that one from Beta! Those were good times.
Commanding officer: Odyssey class U.S.S. Athena
Admiral of the 1st Assault Fleet
Join date: Some time in Closed Beta
how do giant lock boxes come from a warp core breach
OMG MEMORIES!!!! awwww the good old days of being as your ship.
There is no way to Depart the Qo'noS system... the buttons are greyed out and transwarp options are not available.
That explains the Delta Flyer I saw skipping about ESD. Thought it looked odd (wasn't aroud for beta)
