Enemy Neutralization: An Engineer can easily take out an entire squad by himself.

True, but so can Target Optics + Ambush + Arcwave Setting. Sadly people love to use their special Fabrication Specialist kits and I don't blame them.

Absolutely agree with you there. There is nothing worse in a game's lifetime then devs who show favorites.

It's happened in two other games I've played and I just had to smh and leave those games eventually because it got so bad. The most recent of which was Guild Warriors 2. It's sad when 20th century weapons of war can't do as much damage or more then a two handed sword and in some aspects this game is similar.

For example, If we're to believe that power levels control the vast majority of damage (taking buffs out of the equation for a moment) then why aren't engineers doing more weapon damage then anyone else?
Engineers do not consistently get more power levels than anyone else. They have a single +power ability that lasts for 30 seconds with a 2 minute cooldown; It is very easy to get 125 weapons power and apx 100 shields power in an Escort no matter what class you play.

Enemy Neutralization can be used far more often than Tac superbuffing.

    You all know it should.

We should be able to hold out a cigar at arm's length and light it with an orbital strike. :D

Not really if you have multiple tactical captains because of Tactical Initiative. Transphasic Bombs are really good though because of the 'no cooldown when enemy blows it up' bug.

I agree with this, but I'm curious to hear your take on the following question:

What if your ship has multiple color beams? Even if you're using just phasers, they currently come in two different colors, and some players run different beam types.

i would say make it match the color of whichever beam does the most damage, but 2 or more beams may be doing the exact same amount of damage

and what if the ship doesn't have beams at all? since orbital strike is a beam, having no beams would mean orbital strike wouldn't be available

Chance for a torpedo strike or cannon spray?

But who is better on a 1 on 1
    Tac or Eng?

Once you start analyzing team dynamics, you can't just easily say "All Tacs" especially with Tactical Initiative since it affects all teammates; Sci's start to become *extremely* powerful with a Tactical Init or two behind them (and Engies can lay mines and bombs every 6 to 8 seconds).

Depends on the captain and the build.
Don't look silly... Don't call it the "Z-Store/Zen Store"...
Let me put the rumors to rest: it's definitely still the C-Store (Cryptic Store) It just takes ZEN.

Well I did mention endgame encounters with timers so I thought that was taken for granted. But I think I've derailed this thread enough already.

You can very, very, very easily score the optionals on all Elite STFs (space and ground) with not a single tactical or escort in the group.

Dude. I'd SOOO rather be shot in the shoulder with a 9mm than have someone swing into my shoulder with a freakin claymore. the former is (statistically speaking) survivable in most cases. The latter....ehhhhhh.

this is completely off topic I know and I apologize but where did you get your signature anazonda? I've been searching and can't seem to find one complete with images for each text line and I can't seem to figure out PWE's private messaging system....it's like Q I can't detect it.
