More than once I've had my eyes on that fine ship, if I were considering federation gameplay again, I'd get it! Watched several videos of that ship in action, truly looked neat!
So maybe (or not) you're wondering "Vopey, why don't you have the MVAE?" Well here's the story...
It cloaks. It does a lot a damage. It's perfect for triggerhappy people like me.
Unfortunately now I am addicted, and better put, dependent on the cloak. I keybound it to x, so whenever I warp into a system I automatically press x.
I did look at that ship as well. In the end, cloaks never really serve me very well. The most it does is keep the Gateways from targeting me. In addition, it has less hull and shields than the Advanced Escort. Plus, the Multi-Vector console gives much-needed firepower that could very well save my life.
It's ONLY good for clearing high yields and small pets, I used to use it a lot, but ever since I've become very adept at my build and evasion and so on, I never use the assimilator anymore as it's a waste of a much needed slot on my B'rel, it's not anywhere near the nuke people make it out to be, unless you use it against Aeronaut :P
I have even been directly exposed to them with naked hull in N'Vak when flying in the enhanced cloak while they took direct fire, and still quite survivable.

He may have made changes since the last time, it's been a while, but he loves the romulan torp, as much as I do :P! Reason I sometimes swap it out for just regular plasma purple acc3x torps so they are untargetable and have a constant stacking of plasma fires that way.
It is far from overpowered. A Borg Cube destroys it within seconds of spawning. At most, all it does is give me a second, maybe two seconds if I'm lucky, to make my escape to a distance safe enough for me to heal up. Take it into ANY Elite STF, and it is exactly that, a two second distraction for you to get away.
