That's actually kinda generous. You know the drill around here, though. "Shoot first, show gratitude.....whenever."
In fairness, I checked out of the "Cryptic is ruining my life and I'm going to drink the purple Kool-Aid" thread about 150 pages ago because it had clearly moved past serving any useful purpose to keep reading.

But of course, your comments are helpful and constructive right?
When I actually make a comment on game design I make a point of keeping it somewhat grounded in reality.
As for the people... it's an MMO forum. There's one good poster out of every 5. That's not news to anyone that has been around the internet over the last ten years. I make no apologies for not taking the other 4 seriously enough to care.

Market 4 building in mine trap is STILL bugged and not repairable. This puts a damner on mission success probablility. ALso, Market has a weird bug where if you advance too soon in the escort colonist segment, you lost a building or two of colonists.
Thank you Cryptic for listening it still might be worth making a mention in the major post so that some of the fire's from this can start to calm down. I also hope this will also lead to other bug fixes in the game that is all I and a few friend have wanted and maybe just a little less grind.:D:D:D
Now we only need an increase of Romulan marks and all is well.
^ this.
Its really frustrating to be stuck playing the same damn boring two missions for romulan marks. Ground missions are even more boring. Not to mention they're full of AFK'rs.
Why not simply make a system where you can CHOOSE the currency you get paid in? Do STF and in the end you choose EC, Fleet Marks, Rom Marks or Omega marks... for example.
But seriously, I think some posters are a little too quick to dismiss the legitimate complaints of the angry mob.
Sure, they gave back the fleet marks now...but if they had done this at the same time they took them away from the IOR wrapper, it would have been a quieter week for Cryptic, no?
And that's the main problem I see - poorly thought-out solutions to poorly thought-out game design, coupled with heavy-handed knee jerk overcompensation when Cryptic realizes what it has stupidly done, followed by Cryptic backpedaling a week later after the pitchforks and torches come out.
How many times do we the customers have to see the same pattern repeat before someone with some responsibility for the game comes to the conclusion that hey - maybe we aren't running this as well as we could be...?
While I think these should have been in the pipeline a little earlier, and doesn't answer a lot of underlying problems with game direction and communication that people have been bringing up, I think this will go a long way to settling a lot of people over the specific issue of fleet marks. These look like some really good changes coming up. Thanks guys.

The building should be an easy fix...
Not only that, in Vault: Ensnared you got those two nebula ships that likes to not count. In Colony Invasion they still havn't fixed those Diplomats. And there are a couple of KDF Fleet / Embassy dailies that still have problems.
It's a good start... As many have said, it's a bit reactionary, but appreciated just the same. I may actually log in and check it out, but sadly, In the last few days I've started playing elsewhere due to all the goings on here and actually enjoy it. I suppose it will take a lot to get me back in full time to STO, and that bothers me.... I guess all we can do is take it one day at a time and hope that this is the first of many improvements...
Finally, with all else being said, Thank You for the update, it is appreciated.
were is the fix for people that cant place boffs in slotts?
i dont see that in this patch
and no im not talking about the tribble bug, im talking about the one on holodeck right now, were most people "inc me" cannot place boffs in stations on ur ship
Nice to see PVP get some marks. Been getting back into PVP recently. Though the flip side, of course, is the concern over AFKers. Really looking forward to these changes, though. Thank you.
Huh? So six months ago you added 50 fleet marks to foundry missions because no one was playing them. Then you take them away from foundry missions because you claim everyone is AFK farming them.
Now you add 50 fleet marks to PvP missions because no one is playing them?. I wonder how this will end?

It's in the patch notes. In this thread, to which you are replying.
Resolved an issue that prevented some players from assigning Bridge Officers to their ships.
Quoted, in case there are others who didn't see this.

Since PVP missions are (designed to be) team content, and they want to reserve Fleet Marks for team content, I'd say it will end like....this.
...talking to players is like being a mall Santa. Everyone immediately wants to tell you all of the things they want, and you are absolutely powerless to deliver 99% of them.
[*]Added 50 Fleet Marks to each of the PVP daily wrappers:
Raze Enemy Headquarters (Daily)
Raze Enemy Secret Headquarters (Lt. General - Daily)
Dominate the Heroes of the Enemy (Daily)
Dominate the Leaders of the Enemy (Lt. General - Daily)
Claiming Enemy Reserves (Daily)
Claiming Enemy Emergency Reserves (Lt. General - Daily)
Reclaim the Neutral Zone (Daily)
Restore the Neutral Zone (Vice Admiral - Daily)
Into the Fray (Daily); To the Front Lines (Vice Admiral - Daily)
Pacify Enemy Heroes (Daily)
Pacify Enemy Leaders (Vice Admiral - Daily)
[/LIST]
That is a lot of FM attached to something that already gives a decent chunk of Dil, I forsee many AFKers and exploity* private pvp matches.

Yes Yes and Yes..I did say wait a week lol. ty devs..lets improve upon the other systems shall we?
While it's nice that they finally did something about the "Valentines Day Massacre Patch", it should NEVER have needed to go this far before being "fixed". They should've removed the Fleet Marks from Foundry, and added them elsewhere AT THE SAME TIME.
There is NO EXCUSE for waiting this long. But I am glad they are doing something to "appease" the forum/gaming crowd.
You have a strange definition of something "quick" ...
Because some of us understand that coding fixes for things can take time, therefore 'quickly' can elongate easily
But all joking aside, why is having an immediate replacement for a removal that big of an issue, and why did it require 'extra emphasis NEVER should have happened in the first place' speech?
I'm curious here. But I admit, it sounds similar to a spoiled child asking why it's taking so long, when the average person would expect that amount of waiting imo
Was named Trek17.
Been playing STO since Open Beta, and have never regarded anything as worse than 'meh', if only due to personal standards.
