This one plagued me for a little bit but I found that going to my ship's bridge and setting my BOffs -there- worked while doing it in Sector Space did not.
i lied i have not gone to bed,,,,,,,,i think someone has mentioned this but here go's i have had to put every one of my bridge officers in the shuttle then move them to my ship and i have had to do this on every ship, bit of a pain but its worked,,,,,,,,,,,,
I recently had this problem and I found a temporary work around, if you also have a fighter or other small craft then you can change the officer assigned to the one you want to assign to the ship so the solution is this:
change fighter boff to boff 1
assign boff 1 to ship slot
change fighter boff to boff 2
assign boff 2 to ship slot
until you have them all assigned.
I don't know if this will work for you but if not then I've also heard that the following can work too: change your ship, unassign boffs, then change back to the ship you want to use, then reassign the boffs. I hope this helps.

If you can set one BOFF... Put them into a station. Click the same station, and assign another to it.
The 'new BOFF will show up. Click your next station, and assign your first boff (the one you were able to assign). Repeat the procedure until every slot is filled... (I found this out by accident, but, it works)
This works if you have changed a boff, does'nt work if you have a new vessel.
While setting up the Enterprise C to fight my way out of the Thoian base, I noticed my Boffs had been removed from their stations. After completing the mission for all my toons, I took a break from sto until today. Woa - all my Boffs are removed from their stations and I can't reload them.
I read the thread, but all these solutions have to be a joke! Anybody have a simple one. I tried the one of going to the bridge and didn't work for me. arrg
So I rolled a new toon for the Andorian escort, cause Ereth eez searius starfleet admirul who can't be seen commanding anything without a Starfleet delta and racing-stripe, or that is smaller than a Sovereign, and...
This is a pretty serious bug. I've tried everything zone-chat threw at me, nothing let me slot my bridge officers into my ship. Now most of us who have been around a long while, and have a lot of alts with pre-equipped and crewed ships that hardly ever change, might not even have noticed if you hadn't told me. (Any other week, I would not have.) But for a new player, not being able to slot bridge officers is a game breaking bug. Oh you can work your way through the Azura mission easily enough, but they're going to start noticing the drawback on their way out of P'Jem. Easy enough to survive that encounter (Undine dreadnaught) by staying outside its firing range and letting the NPCs handle the entire thing, but new players probably won't know their participation is optional on this one. All they'll know is that plasma is bad for their hull and they can't fix it, and they can't last those two minutes.
So... chop chop, guys.
Meanwhile, I'm switching to my Type 10. They'll never see me coming!
After doing the ground Foundry Mission "Captain's Table Royal Rumble," my ship has no BO powers. I have changed maps, gone to the shuttle, logged off and on, and I have no bridge officer powers. They are unselectable.
Also for some reason, I can only get shuttle bridge view, and cannot actually fly the shuttle.
I was having the same problem. All you have to do is queue for PvE encounter, as soon as you get into the encounter (before you move an inch) you can put your bridge officers into their stations. Hope that helps you.
Had the same problem of not being able to assign bridge officers when I leveled a new toon. Took them into a idle foundry just to try to get something done with them. Since it also had some targets to shoot I said what the heck and opened fire. After combat ended well waiting for it to end I tried to slot my bridge officers, and boom, it worked. Tried it with another toon that lost bridge officer slots after finishing the 3rd year event mission, worked for them also.
I had the same issue. I had a science toon and an engineering toon that just got to level 50. I initially wasn't able to put bridge officers in their stations, but when I started to play the second wave mission, I was able to slot my bridge officers during the beginning of the mission. I don't know if this can work with all missions because I never tried. That's how I solved the issue for myself, hopefully this can solve others.
This has got to be one of the largest FUBAR, Charilie Foxtrot yet. Even with the work around I cant get a damned thing loaded. Why do we have to do a dog and pony show to get something to work that was already WORKING before all of these so called "updates"?

We had the cannot slot bridge officers bug in our fleet , many of our members
Transwarp to the fleet starbase and the problem is solved , you can slot new officers in orbit and if you beam to the Fleet starbase you can slot them there as well.

So what am I suppose to do now? I haven't been able to run ship content for over day because I cannot get any of my Engineers or Sci BoFF to go into ANY ship that I switched after the patch. I have tried everything in this thread...fixed this god damn stupid bug or Its been over 24 hours.

Fixed it after 24 hours by doing a RICH dil daily...yes that was the only map that allowed me to add the BoFF.....stupid
I want to telll everyone the Fleet Starbase is best work around. I have a new ship with and could slot no BO 's tilll dock at our starbase. Many others had same experience. Love spend hunders of millliions on a ship with no BO's
Ok guys here is what i have done to work awround this i select the officer that i want to assign and put him in the Shuttle slot that will allow me to assign him to my ship i just do this for any bo i want to assign a station to and it works i hope this helps.
I can confirm warping to Fleet starbase worked for me as well.
i just got life time and went for the 1000 day vet ship...couldnt put my Boffs anywhere...read this and warped to the starbase and thank yall sooo much
Verifying that Transwarp to Fleet Starbase indeed works. I hope they fix this soon, as people who are not in a Fleet will not be able to resolve this without a fix. I attempted transitioning to almost every map trying to get it to work previous (the bulletin was not specific) and it did not work on ANY map except the Fleet Starbase.
Listen to your customers, PW/Cryptic- they speak with their wallets, and although a vast majority play for free, you get your money from those who pay to play. Game-breaking issues shouldn't take a month to fix.

Seriously though, they should consider doing a rollback of the latest patch until this is resolved. It's weekend, and the busiest time for players. Other MMOs do rollbacks when things go really south as well.

I tryed loging in and out. I tryed switching ships and then logging in and out and switching back. I wrote a ticket ... Any suggestions?

Well i have the same problem,
Altough it was no new vesel .
After the doomsdag mision i just could not mount bridge oficers any more.
Tryt to play without but that is at the moment no fun at all, keep going boom you know....
hope this mather is resolved fast since sto and borderlands are the only games i play at the moment.
