Am I the only one unable to get into the game? I connected earlier today, but several hours ago I attempted to do so again and when the launcher opened up, it went to 'patching' as it always does, but then nothing happened. It just sits there saying 'patching' and making no progress. It doesn't give me any sort of error message, and it's not even frozen because it closes immediately when I click the x. It just does nothing at all.
It's done this every time I've opened the launcher since. I'd really like to play, so I'd appreciate any help anyone could give me.
Can anyone help me with this? I don't understand why it suddenly won't let me into the game, it was working perfectly even just a few hours before this problem started, and I didn't make any changes that could've affected it. As far as I can tell, it seems to have begun this with no discernible reason.
Customer support for this game is the worst I've seen for the size of population, they obviously don't care if one or two of us can't connect or having problems. I put a ticket for a respec problem I had it took 3 days to get a generic response telling me to give them more information, which in my book is brushing you off as insignificant.
I have this probelm aswell i open up the start up launcher and it just sits there saying 'patching' but it mkaes no progress ive unistalled and reinstalled the game more than once and it has made no difference.....
Same here. Some of the elements in the launcher itself don't load, such as the ad on the left side of the launcher box, and the launcher version is not visible.
The progress box (wide rectangle) in the bottom left, and the box next to it are forever blank, and the patch/play button reads "patch" and is greyed out.
They say to play through a VPN but it's annoying to do that...I mean it depends how badly you want to play the game...but sometimes even the VPN don't work...so best thing to do is wait...even if it's gonna kill you.

Mine starts patching. Drags on for half a day getting to about 35% Then either crashes or restarts the process. Why is it making us patch 2 to 3 gigs worth of data. After working just fine an hour earlier when you logged off your computer to do something away from home.

If problem persists, please contact technical support. Its obviously not my internet connection because im able to type this message just fine. so wtf is the deal. it worked fine yesterday
And for some reason i cant get to this website by using the normal url either. i had to use a link on facebook to the interview and then navigate to the forums. this is crazy

I wonder if they are getting ready to do the prepatches, and something has somehow messed up the launcher.

I was in the game and got kicked out tryng to get into Arcturus Arm. Now I am seeing the same patching error as above.
It's good to know it's not just me. Now I can sit back and hopefully we'll have a swift resolution to this issue.
same problem here when i got off work....worked just fine at noon pdt
During the week of Season Six's premier, the launcher did the same exact thing. Cryptic started to send out pre-patches. If many of us are having an issue, just keep in mind that its not a problem on our end.
I have had the same issue. In fact I know that at least two others in my fleet have complained of the same thing. Click on STO icon goes to trying to update launcher then gives me some BS about my internet connection.

Same thing here. I can't even launch the launcher. The "Cryptic Launcher Autoupdate" window says "Trying to update the launcher. Please be patient. Tried connecting 2 times." Then a Windows "Connection Problem" window pops up saying "Unable to establish connection to Patch Server. Please check your Internet connection. If problems persist, please contact Technical Support."
i know this might seem stupid but try starting your computer in safe mode with networking or if that dosent work see if you fire wall is allowing star trek through

This forum also loads fairly slow for me.
