Somewhere there is an intern about to get fired frantically buying parts at a best buy.
Naw, he probably stopped for doughnuts on the way there and found out the shop was out of chocolate and wasn't going to restock for another 2 hours. At lest that's what I'd do if I was an unpaid intern and read the comments people make on this forum about me and the people I work for...
Don't know if anyone else has noticed it but Champions online is down for maintenance as well and their maintenance is being extended too. My guess is this is all about replacing server hardware. Don't know what circuits they fried but it must be major to effect to separate game servers.
Its the freakin storm I bet! aren't the servers in NY or something? That's still no excuse for this delay. Hurricane or not they got an obligation to us, especially those of us that pay.
"Being a troll myself, I classify this malcontent as a Type-2 Oblivious Troll. My reasons for coming to this conclusion are: The annoying colored text he deploys, the contradictory threads he creates, the excessive whining and foot stamping, the amusement factor of his threads, and the apparent lack of realization that he is in fact a troll, like me, and is not the heart broken, victimized, player, he sees himself as."
I agree. I think one of the dev's can take 10 minutes to write an excuse as to the problem. "technical difficulties" could mean anything. stahl used to sit down and talk to us himself. why has no one done this yet?

..I just thought of when Scotty ever said that. Having a bad feeling now somehow.
Scotty always said, whatever time you think it will take to fix a problem, double it and make everyone think you can work miracles when you fix it ahead of schedule
WOW! There are a bunch of new faces in this thread, with post counts that don't exceed the average persons fingers.
Welcome!

the fact it's not just STO but CO as well indicates they're dealing with a hardware-issue ( or most probably failure ) which can happen to any MMO . I distinctly remember extensions of maintenance for other MMO's as well ( and those were 100% subscription based ) , often extensions of several hours . And that was always due to hardware failure . Let's just hope they have a mirrored copy : we don't want a repeat of the Metin 2 debacle, lol

I know one of my fleet leaders is gonna be p**sed - she was planning on grinding the last piece of MACO ground she needs today...
Looking forward to watching her vent her wrath in the Fleet channel

So the game is down for a few hours, its a pain yes, but these things happen. At least its not as often as it used to be.
yeah lucky you get trek on Netflix there we don't here in the UK
Destroy the enemy, just save some for me!
I laughed so hard at this I fell out of my chair...
LOL - Not yet, but who would really admit that?
I made a new bumper stickers << I'd rather be playing STO, but the DEV's won't let me >>
If they can't fix it, maybe Jim'll Fix it?
