Same here this has been happening to me since yesterday, every time I go to do something I get booted from game and then get these annoying error messages. Then after dealing with all this bs it takes me at least an hour or two to get back in game to which I get booted about 15 minutes later and this is getting old!!
why is everybody assuming this was an intentional action on Cryptic's part? Maybe, just maybe a piece of hardware unexpectedly failed. Inconvenient as hell, yes ... sucks that Tour was up, yes ...
But maybe just maybe they were caught surprised too
I for one can handle them killing the server off without notice so long as they are truly trying to correct problems. Every time they patch the game there is a new issue and by the time they fix it the next week comes along again and another patch with problems. If they need to kill the server and kick us all for a few hours to correct major issues, so be it, at least they are making a concentrated effort. Give them a little support community, it might go a long way to boosting the devs moral and in turn improving out game.

It could, of course, be VERY intentional when they got into the office today. This is their normal maintenance time (07:00) PST on patch day.
Sad sad sad. I login to do the "tour" made it about halfway down the sirius sector and then it logged me out and said they were down for maintenance. Now I just time out to the login server. It would be nice to know what is going on.
Can they compansate me in EC since I would have made 1+ million during the tour? Does anyone know if they do that? I pay to play so it is not like I am asking for something free or even real money like ZEN or Diltihium (alternate real money).
Let's pander to Cryptic/PWE call it a nice oopsie .... continue to get our behinds whipped by them being the victims being ripped to shreds for bad business practice and THEN we can buy yet another pack of master keys as the same mistakes and the same 300 glitches every season comes out.... with Cryptic/PWE NOT having a dedicated glitch-fixing team adequate to fix it.
So... either Cryptic/PWE needs better management or perhaps they could stop taking the flack so seriously , step back a moment and realize "gee, if I put in a little more effort into making the game PLAYABLE... while realeasing new content.... PERHAPS.... my customers might not cause me heartbreak..."
Because.... it's truly our fault for wanting better. Right PWE? Right Cryptic? Not that we want perfection... but a few less bugs and glitches would be nice! Heck, a "SORRY MAN, here's some dilithium it's not much but at least a sign of oh sorry we ****ed up" would go a long way to telling us you all care.

this **** is ******up every patch maint downtime is breaking the server from the inside more lagg, more buggs, more client related problems, STO WHERE IS IT GOING ARE YOU GONNA DIE OR WHAT? SERVERS OLD AND BROKEN? OR NOT ENOUGH MONEY TO KEEP THE SERVERS UP??
Had the same problem last night, did not know server was down tried to log in a few times right now because it said server connection timed out so I came to the site and in fact my suspicion was correct server down ;(
