Game keeps crashing over and over... anyone else having this issue

    I'm was getting a CTD at Memory Alpha and once at SOL Starbase. Now the game won't even load without a CTD.

    I was gone since thrusday and i came back home on saturday, logged in and it crashed at the loading screen 3 times on me. I never had problems with getting onto the game. as far as crashes yes i have been getting them too.

    Same here, perhaps it's a recent server/patch bug?

    Crashed before I was bout to do the 20 man fleet defense mission...:mad:

    I could log into the launcher but then got Error 4: attempted view invalid. Restarting in (insert countdown here). Then when I pushed "Engage" the game wouldn't even load before crashing over, and over...and over again @_@.

    Multiple fleet-mates crashed as well but some got back in game, as did I, and it seemed random at who could get back in.

    I'm having the same problem;

    Today it must be at least 30 times, I log in and crash to desktop after 2 mins. After force verifying again, log in and 3 mins later game crashes and ctrl+alt+delete to restart the game, vorce verify.....

    Its becoming unplayable now and would appreciate that the devs can look into this problem.

    I crash every time I try to use the wave pulse modulation...which seems to be an integral part of the game....still playing in free mode and the fact that nobody has answered my petition or I can't find an answer to my problem online, it's not making me want to subscribe......but I want to lolololol. Please help

    I just started a serious toon after playing with the demo not long after STO launched.

    That toon is now stuck.

    I finished destroying the damaged Borg cube in Vega Colony space, and was prompted to warp to Earth. I clicked Warp, and the game crashed to desktop. Now the game crashes every time I try to play that toon.

    My game have just crashed 6 times in less than an hour. This have NEVER happened before since I started playing 10 months ago. Something is definitely up. One crash was during the loading of the character, all the others happened while on the mission tab.

    I'm not even getting the Launcher? Anyone know if there is a problem that Cryptic are aware of?

    I just get the "This program cannot display the webpage" error in the loader.

    Last night I played with no issues.

    Hi guys,

    I resolved my launcher issue.

    1.) Went to control panel and made sure the IE was set as default.

    2.) Tools > Internet Options > Privacy > set it to default (Medium)

    Launcher loaded :)

    Crashes may be occuring because a stealth patch that's big is applying while you are in game.

    To get it all at once, open OPTIONS on your launcher and disable on demand patching.

    i do about 1 - 2 STF's then crash when i beam in.
    it does the same with Earth Space dock but less frequently.

    i endure about 14 crashes in a 3 - 4 hr game period.

    have had NO responce from cryptic, wich tells me 2 things...

    1: they are either working on the issue.

    2: couldnt give a flying TRIBBLE in space about this CONSTANT issue wich hits me 3 times every 25 mins.

    Plz FIX THIS GOD DAMN ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    I've been having the same problem today. After playing for about 6 months as F2P I recently upgraded to Gold... and wham! Not allowed to play.

    The crashes are happening booting up a toon who happens to be at DS9. As you will have seen here: http://sto-forum.perfectworld.com/showthread.php?p=6063161#post6063161 some people seem to think it's happening more there than anywhere else.

    I've tried the "trick" with playing in windowed mode and it worked for me. I got away from the one spot my toon was in for the last 6-7 crashes, and the game seemed stable afterwards.

    Anyone have an explanation? Has anyone heard from GM?

    well something new has come up, crashing on EVRY GOD DAMN STF i do.
    in conjunction with the continuious crashes from beaming into DS9 & Space dock.

    it takes 4 - 5 steam restarts to just get the launcher to stop failing with the connection to the log in server / patching server.

    & yes i have disabled the auto patcher & it's Gotten only worse.

    cryptic if you are reading this.....


    FIX THIS FRIGGING ISSUE PLEASE, 6 RESTARTS OF YOUR LAUNCHER EVERY TIME THIS HAPPENS!!!!!!!!

    Was relogging to get into ESD, but when I reach the character select screen, it says the game is down for maintenance.

    WTF? :confused:

    Definitely appears to be the case. I suspect this is related to yesterdays unexpected downtime somehow.

    Yeah this is BS No notice, just down at top of hour (10am here) I didnt see a warning or anything but they just do whatever the hell they feel like regardless of the fact that I only have an hour to do my dailies before work I had JUST gotten used to them TRIBBLE with this TRIBBLE on Thursdays (my usual day off btw which screws everything up) and then they go and switch it the past few times and now this BS today
