The game is BARELY tolerable for me as is. And yes, I have a lot of free time on my hands (unemployment tends to do that to a person). I have a number of other games I play from time-to-time, when I get the "urge" to play.
It's funny that you find it enjoyable to deconstruct every comment I make, yet you take ZERO consideration into the possibility that I might be playing the game, because it's "Star Trek". If there was a Star Trek MMO made by ANY other company, i'd jump at the chance to play that instead.

i think, because the chimera is the best fed escort at the moment. maybe except the fleet stuff... chim is ugly as hell, but the specs are great.
I like it reminds me of the StarGazer and its kinda something for someone that wants something resembling like a Cruiser that moves like the ones in the movies LOL. To me though to start putting more time into feds than KDF they really need to up the variety of things you can do for fleet marks, dilithium, and then some that give both.
It's 7:00 here on the East Coast, and I still can't get in. I can't even charge Zen, so what is going on? This seems like a more widespread issue with the PWE servers....

Seriously though, when a player is not doing anything wrong and the server kicks him her or off and then someone says 'we're doing unscheduled maintenance' and does not give a reason, it sounds like an insane person just walked into the room. When that happens and we are not allowed to log back in because of the maintenance, it just stinks.
You also said if you are logged on already it should not affect you.. guess what? It did. Ok, now just tell us when these things will work properly so we can get away from complaining and back to playing.

The day that I actively do something that isn't fun just because it says Star Trek , or Dungeins and Dragons, etc etc , is the day I am checking myself in someplace for some help.
I found the Dungeons and Dragons movie to be awful.
I was having no fun watching it.
I walked out of the theater and went and played some hackey sack with friends instead. The proper response I think when something that is supposed to be fun , is no longer fun , is to STOP doing that thing.

Mince pies no longer use meat but a combination of fruits and ****. Unless you make it it to a very old recipe.
