    Lol, I'll admit I'm a bit miffed, but not too bad since I'm just glad it's not on my end. I find it interesting however, the my Trillain app on my android phone remains connected, but my Computer application cannot. Verrrrrrrrry interesting. xD

    The server is up, so it will remain green. We've added a notice to the launcher and the site, though.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    But nobody can join it. And those that are already on won't see the indicator anyway.
    Makes no sense not to... Actually why do I even bother. :rolleyes:

    "players who log out, switch characters..."

    On Holodeck, logging out and switching characters is CURRENTLY the same thing. It's rather amazing that such a basic feature as being able to switch character without relogging each and every time, has taken Cryptic more than 2.5 years to finally implement. And it's technically NOT implemented, until the Season 7 build goes live sometime in November.

    Wouldn't be as big a problem if your servers weren't so unstable that players get booted then cannot relog :(

    This maintenance needs to happen to fix a VERY big problem.
    Don't RAGE at them for trying to help us.

    Just a moment of take a deep breath, remember this is only a game.
    We play it for fun.
    Other things can be fun too.

    you sir are a genius and it also proves no one is above Murphy's law. For those who do not know it it is this "anything that can go wrong will go wrong" in this case the lastest patch had a unwitting surprise known as Murphy and needs to be sorted *runs off to play Team Fortress 2*

    The only "very big problem" i have seen since I've been able to login again over the past couple weeks, is cryptic sold (out) to perfect world.

    For some people, this is the only game they play. Or can play. Perception is reality, and the reality is that this sucks.

    I have 3 dogs that like to play frisbee actually. Since this has been down for the past FEW HOURS with no official update as to an ETA or any other type of consideration for the people who USE THE PRODUCT, the frisbee you speak of is completely torn up.

    Exactly what is it, that in this "pie" of yours?

    Get a haircut, hippie! ;)

    As for Perfect World employees:

    Can't you at least say something official *sounding* to give everyone a sense of what's up and how long it could take?

    I mean.. at least TRY. :rolleyes:

    given the amount of hours i've been on, less than 5% have contained noticeable bugs, with the complexity and scale of the game, it's a testament to good programming.

    Good programming? STO?

    Mwahahahaha... I've been playing this game since Beta, and it's by no means, a game with "good programming". In fact, they seemingly manage to introduce a ton of new bugs with every patch, and more often than not, they end up leaving the old bugs to go un-fixed.

    The account server handles mail and mail started borking right before it went down... Since we basically use the mail as another free bank due to the disgusting amounts of items we can end up with and no where to store them.... imagine if we just ran it out of space.

    My dogs are very happy that I now have to play with them. Of course, they just ran outside to chase a squirrel or something...

    Still trying to figure out that big yellow thing in the sky. Has NASA been advised? The FAA?

    They dont care about the bugs that exist, because they want to introduce new things that are gonna make them money,(example=temporal lock boxes) ton of bugs to be fixed and addressed but nope let the boxes go out instead to make tons of money instead.

    My son only stole 5% of my money this week. That's a testament to good parenting.

    Only 5% of the world died today as a result of a pandemic. That's a testament to good disease prevention.

    Sorry to tell you, but 5% is actually a lot.

    Hi Captains,

    We're performing unscheduled account server maintenance. Players who are in the game currently should be unaffected. Players who log out, switch characters, or are logged out currently will not be able to get back into STO until maintenance is complete. Please watch this thread for updates.

    Cheers,

    Brandon =/\=

    Yeah, reminds me everytime a dev says oh yea thats been fixed... First place I go on my KDF toons is Empire defenses and then Erikson System. Pretty much neither of those two elements of the game has ever recieved a bug fix.

    Edit: BTW?!? This isn't REAL LIFE?!?!?!?
