If I havent corresponded personaly ingame, rlemail or in podcast, then Ive read your ideas or advice in the forums.
A long while back I was paired with Horizon in a queue game, and seeing him absolutely terrorize a five-man premade (to the point where they were frantically spamming heals and refused to leave the herd) had a huge impact on me and the way I saw the game.
I'M THE CARRER MASTER! Geez.. you make a thread to improve play with carriers and you get all but ignored! Not my fault that cryptic decided to make carriers more annoying then useful in the wrong hands... *grumblegrumblegrumblegrumble*
There are a lot of very high quality pvpers out there that Naz did not mention who are exceptional players in multiple fields. It's all a matter of perspective, the people naz listed are the ones that has played with or plays with currently on a regular basis.
Also, and please don't take this as a disrespect against you or anything, but simply creating a thread to help people does not automatically make you the preeminent authority on the subject to everyone, if that were the case then Mav would be listed in the cruiser and sci sections, and Hilbert would be in the escort section, yet they are not. More to the point, there are a number of people out there (such as myself) who also have extensive knowledge about carriers and the other classes as well so don't take the fact that you're not listed as a person shot against you.

thanks for the callouts, the new position has me playing about half what i was. i very much miss the banter with all of you as well. i will do my best to be on more more consistantly (or proper as naz would say) i must be honest, skyrim steals a lil bit of my gaming time.....but this is trek, and it will always trump other games.
bieber, fallout, you guys have always been 2 of my favorite people in the game. amazing pilots, and amazing ship mechanics, and both are witty as hell. to this thread's focus, new players should seek out these guys advice whenever you can.
as for me, im around for escort advice whenever, and i do an okay job with target calling and kill cycle timing for those who would like to start their own premade team.
Linty, Era, Faithborn, Aythani, and most of the old crew in TSI have migrated to GW2. But i didnt tell you that. Me? What about me? Im just plain old Devoras, thats all.

i want to give a quick shout out to the folks at TSI, they tought me that when new stuff comes out, find out how bugged it is, run it on my premades, then say im doing to show the devs how bad it is. much love use guys
With the amount of misinformation being generated by certain individuals when it comes to pvp, i thought i'd create points of reference for other veterans & necomers to pvp.
Hopefully, this list will grow to include other specialist / specific topics.
I am also open to suggestions for this post.
Here are the list of people who defined pvp related things for me and helpped me improve.
Healers:
Bieber
Era
These guys are the best in game at healer/suppression dps combinations. Although lately, the engi has been "nerfed" so to speak, i'm sure they'll be back. If they give you advice, be sure to listen.
Bieber can be reached via the "sad Panda Cubs" channel for help and advice.
Era, not seen him in game properly for a few weeks.
Escorts:
MT
Jedi Master Yoda
Aythani
MT is pretty much a 1 man wrecking crew. If there is anything you want to know about optimal dps, he's your man. Again, he can be reached via "Sad Panda Cubs" channel for help.
Jedi is one of the best dualers in game. He is very good at adapting quickly to the opponent.
Aythani hasn't been spotted for a while now sadly
Science:
Sad Pandas
Linty
Mai Kai
Even before i was a Panda, i remember being sci'd to death in seconds. Remember the grav wells? I know i did. Again the Pandas can be reached via "Sad Panda Cubs"
Linty sadly doesnt play as much anymore.
Mai Kai can be reached in game if you spot him about
Torpedo knowledge:
For me without doubt, it has to be Husanak. He got me using torpedos. Before him, i thought they were useless in game and only had use in RPing.

Sadly most of the people I learned from and with are long gone now. Some still poke around, for the most part though I don't expect to see most of them here again.

BobtheYak... Mr Keg himself, the man invented the shut down bop and you should all be grateful that he put it away. lol
StarDagger... Yes its true, he is a love em or hate him player... truly though, his attention to detail and well thought out target calling have found there ways into other fleets through his old friends. Perhaps we will be lucky enough to see his return in the future.
GrippleChew... No finer Sci Bop has ever flown in this game. He for me defined the idea of wingman... he was one of the few people I flew with that needed no target calling. He switched at the right times, he always knew who to pressure to create openings, and if you got in trouble, he knew before you did and had a big fat delta 3 on you and his guns on your trouble. Perhaps if gets tiered of boarderlands we will see him again.
Ashgrey... his name isn't known everywhere... Ash isn't one to boost or be on the forums typing help columns. He is however one of the best target callers I have flown with.
Ghostwulf... another name that not may now outside of his friends. Back when it was perhaps more viable, Ghostwulf was THE engi Escort pilot. No one did it better... and I don't think before Ghostwulf I don't think I had ever seen a top tier pvper in a engi escort setup.
Ziria... who left LONG ago, back in STOs first year, he was for sure one of the more deadlier tacs I knew. I learned a ton from him.
Webdeath/Teapower... ya I'll say it the man showed me the way with carriers. Back before they got controls, back before they got buffs.... Teapower was the guy to talk to if you needed to make a ship that never worked work. Nothing has changed... if we think up some strange synergy of skills, if there is a way to make it work Teapower will find it.
Jsimon... He doesn't get the shout outs he deserves for what he does... SCI HEALER, I have played with a few, and some of them are extremly good... but Jsimon was the first guy I flew with that made me want to fly one. Simon is so fast at clearing debuffs, and tending his team that you often don't even know hes doing it. I have been known to say stupid things like "damn sub nuke doffs".... only to have simon say na I cleared ya you just didn't notice.
Fallout... I am glad I am fleeted with cause there is no worse pain in the a** sci to fly against... and Thats that.
Thales... who flies under the radar, cause he likes to be anonymous, he is a great pilot. I have in the past wrote all sorts of things about piloting and turning and performing "mauvers" Thales is the best pilot in the game at keeping his guns on target... if has anything to say I would and do listen. I don't want to land him in any 1 on 1s... but really I doubt ANY of the escorts in game right now are as good. Well unless he lets his employees fly. lol
Anyway that ends my sentimental journey... I think we all know the people that are still contributing around here... people like naz (who is also great to bounce ideas off, as he almost always has a slightly and often better take on an problem then I do)... and Mav and Mai and Hilbert. There is still lots of good advice around... I think people that are worthy of it will pick out the best parts.
