  This link is currently not available in the UserCP, but we're trying to get it in there. UPDATE 7/9: The link to edit your Avatar has now been added to the UserCP section
  
  Avatars must be no bigger than 80x80 pixels (old forums used to be 100x100, but we can't use any bigger than 80x80 at this time) and 19.5KB in size. They also have to heed the forum rules found here.

  thanks for this, seems it doesnt like .png files with blank background though

  The forum rules state that all images must be .jpg
