So far, not impressed. No matter what I do, I cannot find anything even remotely related to a Tholian Incursion. How do I access this mission, and how do I access the Nakura Prime system?

Is the character you're attempting to run the mission on at Level 50?

From the Tribble patch notes (link)
    General:
    • The Tholians are coming.
      • Level 50 players can find their Invasion in the Nukara system in the Eti Eridani sector block.

If the character you're attempting to access the mission with is indeed Level 50, I assume there's a bug. If the character is not yet Level 50, that's the reason you can't access the mission yet.

The new event have potential but the fact we are forced to use an EVA suit instead of our maco/omega/honor guard is pure bs,so we spent months farming those itens and now the very first new content we are forced to give up from those itens to use a generic TRIBBLE suit just to make things even with player that dont participate of the only so far high end content of the game, the STfs ???Just great guys,/clap for u.

If you regulary keep an EV suit in your inventory (not the bank), it'd be handy whenever you needed it :) Only one spot, and easily swapable

I solo'd the tholian boss, he dropped me to 25% health with one attack, then never touched me again. Took me like ten minutes or so of just hitting the 1 key(was using the CRM 200) over and over to drop him.

He also has more HP than my ship. I'm not sure if that is a bug or not, though.

Got no credit for the kill, and the only thing he dropped was a small hypo. Awesome. lol

I did basically the same thing, seems he got stuck in a loop for a bit and wouldn't move after a pretty brutal opening fight. Not sure what exactly happened. Killed him with the energy whip, then didn't get credit for it. Kind of disappointed, but I suspect since none of the rifts ever spawned, he's not fully functional quite yet.

Over all, I like what I'm seeing, but I'd like to see markers for where the different teleport pads are, as I had issues finding them later on.
I know there is a method but all I see is madness.

I got the same problem with th shard too...and not only my clones also my security escorts, even if they apparently had EV suits too.
It was kinda funny to see how my clones burned.

Also If you knock a Tholian down into the "water springs" they die, I'm thinking is some kind of acid?, that was amusing

There is nothing on the star map listed as a Neutral Zone. Am I just supposed to proceed to the area around Romulus?

So, I roamed all around Romulan space, but there is no such pop-up for a mission of any kind. In fact, there is no Nuetral Zone at all.

    Where do I go?

And yes, I did patch right before I played.

The Neutral Zone is also known as Eta Eridani Sector Block. The System is called Nukara System.

I think you misunderstood the complaint. Since the EV suit sits in the Armor slot, we have to use a relatively low quality EV suit instead of some of the very high quality armor we might already have and would normally be using in ground missions.

Hindsight being what it is, they probably should have added a new slot for the EV suit.

Yeah, that's really my only complaint about this. The EV suits are cool and all, but not as good as the stuff I already have. Everything else seems to be pretty cool.

Edit: I should add that wearing the suits in a single player environment (i.e. Boldly They Rode) was fine since you can faceroll normal missions in white gear, but in a team based environment I want to bring my best stuff. Can't do that here unfortunately.

Good news: They fixed the bug in the closing doors. Now if you see a portal with a large black spot in the middle, you can close it by using the three things on the ground.

So, first forum post ever. Played through a few of the missions. So far so go. Easy does seem a little too easy though. I'd love to see the Tholians hit harder. Same with medium.

Confirming that the Closing Doors mission doesn't work. It would me nice if there was some hint that you have to shoot the webs surrounding your 'friends' to. Found that out by accident. hehe

Died from the Tholian Leader and respawned in some sort of underground facility. Not sure why. Haven't started the related quest.

More to come. Need to play some more.

The amount of Lag in the Tholian missions is literally staggering. My team was unable to attempt the Hard stuff, you see a Tholian and the next thing you know you are covered in the Tholian ?Money Shot? before you can even get the first round off. What gives? Hope this will not be when the mission goes live. Please do not time gate this stuff.

Very, Very Bad Lag with Rubberbanding. :(

Respawn Rate TOO FAST. Mining Crystals in in the Interior Zones is near impossible due to high respawn rates. Not sure if this is intentional or not, but will cause great frustration.

Cold Weaponry: Heard Cold Weapons had a great effect on Tholians, tried the CRM200 and it's worse than using the standard MACO Rifle.

EV Suits: Given players who have the free Dominion Space Suit would want to switch to better ones on the spot. Given you die when you do so, needs to have somekind of safety measure that allows players to do so, or somekind of flag to prompt them to return to base to do so.

Secondly, should remove the EV Ability to turn off your suit, if you accidentally click on that during combat, it will ruin your day.

Store EV Suits: People who spent 350,000 Dilithium on EV Suits, really got Scre.....eh greatly disadvantaged with even the basic (Uncommon) Tholian EV Suit Drops. You should give players a refund or greatly make those suits in the Dilithum Store far superior than these drops.

Suit Rewards: Sometimes Reward Suits disappear, suspect if you already been rewarded that type. Players should be allowed to sell them for currency as any other armor.

Exterior - Easy Mission: Greatly needs enlarged space, since this is going to be a single zone, there is going to be TONS and TONS of kill stealing when this goes live.

Information Gathering: Stupid to have to talk to the prisoners to unlock the weapon item information, having to talk to them, and just respond with the same thing they were just talking about.

    Closing Doors - Medium: Broken

Interior Medium: Too high respawn rate. Crystals nearby are impossible to mine.

Shutdown - Hard Interior: Tried Solo and seems might be interesting. Though given Engineer Cover shields do give the computer core quite an additional protection:

TD Tactics -Hard Exterior: I did not enjoy this fight at all, nothing but NPC SPAMMING. And after the first death, I somehow ended up in another BOSS instance, while the rest of them fought on, so I got .......... nothing. And worse, my Engineer Summons died in seconds, so that was pretty lame. They are machines and should work in that.

Missions Repeatable? Not sure if this was on purpose to let players farm Fleet Marks, but to me seems like you want this on somekind of timer. (I really hope this isn't time gated like the Deferi Ground).

    Summary:

All in all, I spent Around 2 hours in this zone and gained about 60 Fleet Marks total as a solo. With a team likely be more (not sure how much Medium and Hard reward with fleet Marks).

Given what I said above, the Easy zones really need to be redesigned for the many solo players doing these. Interrogating the Mirror Universe needs to be redone so it doesn't seem like you're repeating what you just asked them. Spawn rates really need to be checked.

So you really should enlarge the zone signifcantly. And not sure if this is a Terran Base or not, if its Tholian, I lose the human aspects with the underground base.

As for the rewards, well I never seen anything beyond the Uncommon EV Suits. So can't tell if anything is worth my time here. The Fleet Marks, might be okay, but given Fleets need hundreds and thousands of fleet marks, this isn't enough for those who have very-small fleets and really would like Cryptic to do something to help them out more.

    Grade:

    Design: B
    Mobs: C
    New Rewards: Inconclusive

Time for Effort (Marks): D (Why? This is just another grind and people will lose interest faster than the Deferi Ground since the only thing to do is farm Fleet Points).

ENGINEER SUMMONS: Useless and die within seconds after summoning. Lame.

BUG: Changing Instances, if you click on it again, it changes your instance without you choosing the destination.

BUG2: When REspawning after fight with Exterior BOSS, you respawn INSIDE

BUG3: Instancing bugged where the entire team does not end up in the BOSS room and they cannot join you unless the entire team dies......

BTW, Whats with all these new Currencies? Geez, now we got "Expertise?" someone on the team has spent some time on TOR.

Devs, you really need to do something about these currencies. It's worse than before F2P.

    1. Mission (easy) - Kill # Tholians. Simple, almost too simple.
    2. Mission (easy) - Collect # Science items. Simple easily done with other easy mission
    3. Mission (medium) - Free # captives. Simple. I mean Easy level simple. For something that is suposed to be for 2-3 players I was able to do this on my own.
    4. Mission (medium) - Collect # Tholian codes. Had no idea what to do with them, getting them was easy but the next step to use them I couldn't do. Either it was bugged or something. I assume I was to do something with the rift or 3 things surrounding the rift on the ground, but no interface popped up and the item has no use function and cannot be equiped.
    5. Mission(Hard) - Kill Tholian. Mission I went into was bugged. Tholian could not attack me and easily destroyed however afterwards it said I had 60 seconds to leave map. Couldn't find exit in that time through all the special effects and taking odd pathing due to acid pools. also when it ejected me it didn't complete the mission objective.
    6. Mission (zone) collect crystal shards. I hate the dilithium mini-game and hate the fact you tied it into this content. Not only do you have to collect an outragous amount, it pretty much gaurantees you will be doing it for a good while, especially if your not great at the mini-game.

In summary easy was extremely simple and not challenging, perhaps as designed. Medium was also extremely easy and I was disappointed not to see more Tholian in the zone, I NEVER saw any above ensign level. The broken one was just broken, it needed more clarification of what was expected and the Hard one was hard to properly reply to because it was also broken. Finally the crystal hunt, way to many crystals to aquire and my opinion to the mini-game is already clear. I would much rather had the Tholians dropping crystals and had higher rnaked ones (assuming there is supposed to be higher ranked ones) dropping more.

Have to agree here as I'm doing these two missions now.

Free the Redshirts was pretty easy. I was expecting to at least fight something.

Closing Doors appears bugged. I have tons of these little code chips but nothing is selectable for me to use them on.

Update, Just did Interspatial Inquiry. Have to agree it's a bit repetitive. Would love to be able to go straight to the information crate instead of talking to the prisoners first. One if the tactical guys convo was bugged in that it have [lie 01] instead of the actual lie.

Again, like the other easy missions, a little too easy. An extra Tholian Ensign here and there would be good.

EDIT 1: Interior level 2. In a room with a bunch of 'pods' I can see the interact icon but when ever I get close it disappears and reappears at another one.

    Feedback on Hard Mode Encounters:

Exterior: Our groups suffered the drawbacks of not being able to use their engineering pets and devices in the map. Think we got the Project leader under 50% many times, but we always fell behind drastically when it came to killing portals AFTER the boss reappeared after the flood phase. We would simply have far too many mobs who were webb-pulling the group apart, so that we couldn't actually get anything done for more than 2 seconds.

The respawn point is by the interior elevator, so very inconvenient when trying to run back for a new attempt - compared to the interior respawn.

Seems to be a great pve encounter. Unsure if the webbed pull can be resisted, or broken (by damaging the npc vs outright killing him before the power ends).

Interior: Was initially unsure as to where people should be assigned, but quickly got into the swing of things. Another great pve encounter. We got this to about 10-20 seconds from completing wave 4 (so unsuccessful) in the 3 attempts we made.

Controlling the consoles, particularly the mines could be difficult in highly populated maps - but a great experience.

Major Criticism: Getting one's team in the same instance is still a major pain in the aft compartment, especially with such low map population caps.

Ok honestly having trappers appear under the acid and pull you down where you can't target them and destroy the rifts? bad design. fix that.

What's bad is not way to break the hold of the Trapper. I got targeted by 3 Trappers and yanked into the water. nothing I did broke the hold(s).

Last bit of feedback before logging for a bit.

I love that the medium encounters are soloable so long as you are ready to put in the extra effort, tactics and time.

I've been finding that some of the consoles on level 2 interior will some times bump you away as you approach them so you can not activate them. May simply be a result of lag though since it doesn't always happen.

Saw my first Tholian explode. LOVE the animation. Please give us more of that quality. Maybe send the guys who made to work on the D'Kyr. The engine animation is terrible. Sorry about the off topic there.

The technology scattered around the second level interior that you can destroy is really hard to see. Found my first one by accident. Likewise the reports scattered around could be more visible. Or maybe a hint that they are scattered around on the ground throughout the level?

Concerning pets (turrets/generators), on one hand I do like that they don't survive however on the other hand it does make things unfair for us engineers. Could we have a special shield generator we can deploy to protect them? It would seem weird to have them surviving without some sort of protection.

when i beamed in my tac support team although they appeared wearing suits they then quickly died. That said even without the ability to use "powers", i think the map and the animation is great. I loved the enviroment, the way they move and combat. Some of the easy missions i.e. one player and bit repetative and the disable comm stations failed to load right twice on me. But as we are here to test and see if we can break it,well i think i did that.
one final thing so far i have opened 5 reward boxes and got 5 EV suits, maybe the random needs a bit of adjusting.

Sure I'll be posting what others have already.

Having problems with getting dumped after using the transporter. Server dis. Five minutes of it saying patching with nothing happening. Etc Etc.

Bug boys (Tholians) sometimes ignore you. Often they seem to get stuck or bumped though rocks.

While using the Synchronic Proton Distortion Prototype Assault Rifle I noticed the chained attack was not chaining.
(EDIT) It is now only sometimes not working. May be a graphics problem because of the server problems.

Sadly because I kept getting tossed from the server I only finished the two easy missions.

I'm glad that this is not any sort of gated mission set. I have little time to play and this sort of mission set allows me to play it. As opposed to having to always miss it. So thanks for that.

    (Edit)

The door mission(med) is (still) not letting you complete. I have over 50 codes and nothing. A p.s. request. Make the codes discardable (Please)

There is a possibility of getting stuck behind an invisible barrier when going from cave interior back to basecamp. This only happened once out of all the trips I've made (about 6-7 trips) so its a pretty rare occurance.

Good job on not having this gated. Its very similar to the borg ground invasion in set up, but there does seem to have a hint of a larger story going on than simply invading.

I found the tholians a little easy to beat. i think they should be slightly tougher (please note i said slightly, dont crank them up to 90000!!!!)

security escort for tacs do beam down in the snazzy new EV suits but they die straight away.

shard of possibilities creates two non EV suit versions of you. they also die pretty quick.

    Hi,

I had the following problems on the new Nukara Prime Map:

    1.) I didn't have an EV-Suit, D-Store...

2.) After doing the 2 easy missions from the Basecamp Commander, I didn't find the way back to the Transporter Pad. Those should be marked on the map, or you could put some signs in that area.

3.) I finally decided to follow that "river"... Nobody told me that it is acid! I survived that bath and found a Transporter Pad.

4.) One should always respawn in a safe area, just in case that somebody deactivated the EV-Suit...

5.) The Basecamp is a bit too small and misses access to bank/mail...

6.) The Zone-Wide Mission to mine that crystals... You need to be protected by a team to mine that crystals, otherwise you are attacked.

7.) As an engineer I tried to build a small bunker, but everything except the mine-barrier was destroyed because of the atmosphere... Even my Horta died. Someone in the Zone-Chat mentioned: "It should be like a walk in the park for a Horta."
