Well klingons get screwed once again

Imo were getting the big shaft again from cryptic typical of all things STO. The 3 new lvl51 fed ships have special abilitys and 2 commander bo slots depending on which ship you choose. We get a damn carriar as our lvl51. with a commander tac and commander sci oh wow.. and 1 more turn rate. thats its nothing else special over what we have now. And our new uniform options as well arent anything to write home about unless your an Orion Yea looks like I won't Renew my sub next month I favor klingons but there gonna be out gunned imo in pvp against another lvl51 ship.

    he's right, we got one additional ship at T5, a carrier which I wasnt fond of to begin with, I was hoping we'd at least get a vorcha refit, I have no prob with feds gettin defiant and galaxy refit, they are great ships, but I was hoping we'd get some love to with the ships, although I dont feel we got totally shafted, the new pve is good so far, although I've only done one mission its much better then star cluster pve. But I am disapointed about not gettin any refit options, hopefully cryptic will address this soon.

    Hello and sorry for my bad english, :p

    My complaint relates to Season 2 patch on tribble 2010.9.7

    Fedships can cloak? klingon has no shields after decloak? why?

    The protests in my fleet goes up. Klingon ships are always the weaker the federation stronger and stronger. As an experienced Klingon one has hardly any chances against beginners from federation. why are the Klingons permanently nerved and and the feds constantly increasing? if it continues like cryptic will lose many klingon members. Please also thinks times Klingons to us.

    I will now do an break from game when my gametime expire. when nothing will changed after 2-3months i quit playing sto

    Hi back at you.

    Unless its a bug, the Federation should have no shields upon cloaking or immediattly after uncloaking as well. I was under the belief that you lose shielding while cloaked regardless of the faction.

    Klinks only get 1 tier 6 ship?

    There are no Tier 6 ships in game.

    They added some more Tier 5 ships that are the same power level as the previous T5 ships. On Fed side, all three of those new ships are 'refits'. Basically that means its got the exterior of a T3 or 4 ship, but the power of a T5. Klingon side got one completely new ship, a carrier, which is a completely new design.

    Of course, Klingons are all complaining about the fact that they only got one ship. Feds are complaining that all of their new ships are just reskins.

    So pick your complaint.

    Not just reskins!

    X2 commander Bridge officers plus a special ability per ship. The feds have absolutely nothing to complain about..!

    It's cause Cryptic hates the Klingon side and continually makes it crappier.

    This is true. No shields and 15% damage increase for 3 seconds on decloaking.

    Feds have been crying over these refits since launch... You must be new to the Forums. So Feds got what they wanted and more.

    I agree completely.

    Heck with the carrier ... who cares ... I was hoping for a couple of refits on the Klingon side as well.

    As a buffer I would've left the 15% dammage increase as a strictly Klingon or Romulan advantage.

    Does the new Defiant take a penalty to hull and shields to offset the cloak? If that's the price Klingon ships have to pay for the right to cloak, it stands to reason that the Defiant should have to pay it as well. Otherwise, what keeps it from completely outclassing the Raptor?

    it only has 2 aft slots and it has 50 crew. Dunno what hull or shields will be.

    I know it gets the +15% bonus for uncloaking, as for the penalty to hull and shields.........


    I don't believe it does. Which is way unfair to the Klingons.

    So, it has the same weapons load-out as a T5 BoP, along with better shields and hull than a T5 Raptor? I don't see that as much of a balance. Also, since when do escorts care about crew?

    Its getting to be beyond a joke now, Season 2 was supposed to be a big thing for the Klingon Faction but from what i can see its just yet another kick in the teeth.

    Feds get more powerfull versions of their 3 most iconic ships and all the klingons get is another carrier ( a ship class i see hardly any Klingons use). Did the Devs really think that Klingon players would be happy with a carrier? If they did they seem sadly lacking in any comprehension of what Klingon players want. All the people i know who play Klingon are unhappy by this and im guessing most others will be as well.

    Now the Feds will have both an escort and a cruiser ( Galaxy X ) that can cloak, what are the Klingons going to be given to offset this? We paid for our cloak by having lesser hull and shields, i dont see the feds having to pay this price...this is going to have an impact on PvP balance, how bad that will be is yet to be seen, but it WILL affect it. Cryptic needs to get a Dev on the klingon forums to adress these concerns and not ignore us as they usually do.

    Hmm I thought the diference to klingon hull and shield strength was do to the ability to battle cloak. The galaxy x can cloak but it can't battle cloak.

    The only ship with a battle cloak is the BoP. Everything else has a regular cloak, and the carrier doesn't have one at all.

    Note: Although, that would be kinda cool... give the carrier the ability to cloak and launch fighters... the carrier can sit 20-25km away safely, and direct the fighters where he wants them...

    I'm sure it does... The Galaxy X takes a hit in maneuverability for the cloak. So i am sure it will be a glass cannon.

    Toss in that I have found the larger "hull" of a Klingon battle cruiser means that instead of being stronger, you spend most of your time trying to heal said hull and crew so that you can hang in the fight longer.

    I love cruisers and switched to a raptor because of that ... and I can now make my raptor act more like a cruiser than a cruiser.

    Just downloaded Season 2 on tribble and gave it a try. And i'm deeply disappointed.
    Beside the fact that there is no hind where to find the retrofitted ships, the Klingons don't have got much more. I have one Fleet Action Mission that strongly resambles Starbase 24, the rest episodes should be unlocked after Captain level. Coupled with what I've seen the new Fed retrofits have, Cryptic made one big step AGAIN towards chasing Klingons away.

    8 Epsiodes and the bit of content was not enough at all. The new Fed ships make me cry in outrage :mad:.
    Defiant with cloak and better stats then a T5 BOP, Intrepid with the Hull Armor from Endgame:mad:

    The Devs have again given the Feds 89,99 % of the content.

    all you klinks should watch the stoked interview with DSTAHL.........there will be no new faction until the klingon empire is brought up to par with the FEDERATION.....so that means season 2 everything added after season 2 is for both factions .........

    2 new sector blocks for BOTH factions, the klingons will get there due. as for the refit ships no one can even fly them yet and everyone is flipping out waah defiant has a cloak......IT will be the same as your regular cloak .......ablative armor? no clue how well that will be ...

    Hey guys,

    I'm a new Klingon only level 10 so I can try to new content on Tribble, but, you all say that you want new t5 refits, however I do not see anywhere in any Klingon posts what you want for a refit. The Feds have been crying for t4 to t5 refits since launch or a few weeks after and they got it, so instead of saying oh this and oh that, how about we get some ideas on what we would like to see for refits? One Idea I have it a refit of the BoP that has the ability to fire a Torpedo (which ever you have loaded in the front) while cloaked! Since this will add a new balance to the game and the feds, if smart will go to that area and "scan" it to see whats there, maybe more of this on other ships as well. SInce our shields are down while clocked if we get hit big time ouch, BUT, I can so see the teaming strategy behind haveing one of these ships doing this while everyone else is waiting in ambush mode. Just my idea I'll think about this more to try and come up with Raptor and Vor'Cha things
