A Refund involves getting back all money spent on the game and giving back your purchase. Which is what the response Destra gave was about.
That is not the same as Compensation, which involves still continuing to be a customer. For example, when the game had excessive downtime and they gave out the Temba set. Thats compensation for bad service, not a refund. No actual exchange money was involved.
In short, one is about continuing to be a customer, the other is about ceasing to be one.
mmmm Krispy Kreme... I loved that place back when I was a kid.... sadly we don't ( and I'm not joking) have a donut shop where I live with is 10 miles. ( and that place is expensive. 2.50for a donut. no thanks )

we have to rely on the grocery store, and all of the coffee shops. anyway that's the nearest one I know about, and I know my city pretty well . i could be wrong, and there mite be one hiding from me, but last time i went there I clocked in at around 10 miles for the trip. ( road wise not straight )
I lived in Hong Kong for awhile. Not a single donut shop on the entire island. There was a hotel that claimed they sold donuts. They were not donuts. They were a strange attempt to make donuts, but, alas, were not donuts. I had a friend bring me dunkin donuts back from Canada once. It was heaven.
no they absolutely did not give what's promised. he only got the uniform. he didn't get access to CO for a lifetime, nor did he get all of the other perks. they messed him over :D:p:D

Wow. That's a pretty mean violation they committed upon him. He should totally take action, seek compensation, and maybe even a little counselling for the rough treatment.
That is indeed a violation of contract law. To the extreme.
If by "stuff" you mean the items they just added to the C-store, no one bought THEM. What people bought was the GAME, and they got some bonus items with the package that they bought.
Spot on.

Problem with that theory is like people, doughnuts have holes.

Think that's bad? The closest Krispy Kreme where I live is about 100 miles away (Sioux Falls, SD). Gotta love how spread out the big cities are in SD

This is true I have a Taco John's in town and a Taco Bell about 50 miles away. I need to move where all the good places are
well I have a del taco about half a mile away. i have not gone there since the promotion was over.
I don't know if I would call any city in SD big.
