You still have to admit, at least in American history, it's the naval actions in the Pacific Theater that get all the press...

Generally yes, but the Atlantic had a fair share of naval actions. Most of the Atlantic naval combat campaigns were wrapped up by 1944, although there were increasingly isolated operations particularly against U-Boats.

What I scavenged off the Borg and from the Shadows last night.

We have two croissants, a bottle of Cardassian Barbecue Sauce, a bowl of plomeek soup, and a jar of rancid gravy.

Doesn't that describe most anime from the last decade or so?

Yeah, it is kinda Angel-like. The plot does have almost a similar feel to the original Evangelion. The world destroying evil that you fight, Nyx, is called to Earth by the despair of everyone on Earth. Both are also filled with Judeo-Christian iconography and references.

I'm not really an RPG gamer - to much of a control freak when it comes to characters.

    Mine get cool lines...

The moment Man devoured the fruit of knowledge he sealed his fate...

    Among other cool ones.
