Your point is taken, but your expressed reasoning off-base. The art team is different from the mission design team, and the programming team, and so on. You can't fault them for putting in art. You can, however, fault them for not putting in gameplay changes that do matter, and matter greatly to Klingon players.

The list goes on. And yes there were some really neat updates and stuff..but there is a MASSIVE list of wasted time, effort and manpower on things that do NOT effect game play..that DO NOT hinder game play and that are NOT kliing the game as a 2 faction pvp war.

And you actually expected more then a "MASSIVE list of wasted time"? It takes them one week to fix a simple bug in respec system (which is pretty much only decent and useful thing in this largely expected patch), so what is that telling you?

There is barely anyone left working on this game, everyone else was pulled and shipped onto new mmo they plan to release in less then 2 years. Hence the whole bunch of cosmetic trash that will keep hardcore trekkie fans occupied for another month..

Play as long as you have at least some fun, and after -> trash can.

You PetaQ! The empire is alive and well! We Klingon's will never die, and the spirit of our peoples glory will burn like a searing sun forever & ever. You are no Klingon and I would have your existence erased from all records of our people. You have disgraced not only your house and your family, but smeared the reputation of each loyal Klingon warrior within the empire. I turn my back on you worthless animal~!

    Dogh tlhIngan chu'wI' ghuH ;)

P.S it is ok if you want to level PVP, but they did say they would finish klingon regarding PVE as it was released unfinished.

QorChang - good post. Wish I could summon the righteous indignation to be as skillfully sarcastic.

    You didn't mention my favorites . . .

    - "Starfleet officers will have the option to change into off-duty outfits to enjoy more casual attire." Um, what about KLINGON attire, the Feds already have what, 6 or 7 uniforms, with umptiump color choices, eyewear, etc, etc. Resources devoted to futher Federation character customization might have gone a long way to fixing the near total lack of Klingon character (or ship) customization.

    - "New Federation Playable Species - Become a Tellarite, Pakled or Rigelian." How nice for them, but what about the Kligon Joined Trill? Getting 3 more C-store species for the Feds is a much better business move than fullfilling a promised freebee to the Klingons, especially if you expect there to be no Klingon players.

Soon the only Klingons left in STO will be those traitorous Federation faction Klingon wipers of other species bottoms. Truth be told they probably already outnumber us REAL Klingons. They've taken a on-of-a-kind Worf and made him into a C-store commonality.

The Klingon faction is in a death spiral and the 45-day miracle update looks like a fraking joke.

Well said, now being such a tough guy and all, die quietily, im trying to take a nap and I can hear your screams all the way through my hull and it is disturbing my peace while im relaxing in my new outfit.

Just kidding there, thay really should make a viable attempt to bring the Klingons up to date.

The Klingons aren't OPed thats why they aren't the popular faction right now, if they balance the game and ships more in combat, it'll be worth playing Klingon again.

Well, honestly, I wanted to, but then, I hit the edge of the klingon sector cage and logged off.

The klingons should fight the feds in their PvE missions, that would open up a ton of content for us very quickly.

I think Star Wars will be out in 2011... i think they will polish everything up. Star Wars is just like Star Trek with probably alot more followers. Therefore they can hold on and polish it up before releasing. The name will sell it.

Yah I went to Star Wars Galaxies until then. At least I can't level up a toon in 3 days played time, and at least I have something to do when I get there.

Not only Ip's name, but also title Bioware. In last 10 years, they built a company based on hard, quality work on their products. I've played many of their games, and they never released one until it was decent enough, and they never stopped updating them while they need more.

On the other hand, we got a company called Cryptic that's been labeled by numerous sources as low standards/low quality company that ships MMO's on a production line, one every 2 years, regardless of their quality, stage of development or similar.

Winner is rather obvious, don't you think?

I have alot of respect for Bioware, but they are not MMO developers.
KOTOR will be awesome, about 9 months after launch.

Why get into FvK when you can circle jerk with your Fed buddies in FvF?

Mark my words: All the Feds will be FvF, and FvK will be as dead as KvK. The vast majority of this game are playing Feds, something like 90-95% (just look at the que blue-Fed : red-KDF ratios), and the Feds will PvP with each other more because:
    A) It is more accessible since there are far, far, far, fare more of them to fight than Klingon players.
    B) Most Feds can't seem to wrap around their minds around the concept that a different faction could possibly fight... differently. Most Feds will be content to fight something they are familiar with... themselves.

Most Feds have never played KDF, and the way things are now and for the foreseeable future, never will (and why should they?). Look at the sheer number of posts about Feds complaining about the KDF, how they refuse the adapt and face the truth that the Klingons fight and act differently. But since they've cut their teeth working solely on Fed side of the game, they'll be happy to PvP against something they're familiar with. Another Federation warship.

Cryptic: Seriously, I see it now. I understand. You guys never really wanted this faction. Just delete it to save yourselves more work and finding pathetic excuses to justify the "PvP only" aspect of the Klingons. Either that or just reinstate the Kitomer Accords and enslave the Empire to the Federation.

I'd like the Klingons and the Federation to be allies again. Perhaps things would be better. There are plenty of enemies out there that hate both the Klingons and Feds equally.

Nope those were player ships i think it was in a borg battlefield called borg hunt. There were Player Named Klingon Ships there that could attack us and did pretty well at it actually.

If it werent player ships the system for name generation would indeed be very strange because i dont think that a system would name its ship BOP Boobie....

Borg hunt is the best place for a Klingon. I enjoy catching Federation ships unaware there. The only thing that bothers me is that when the map respawns, 20 Federation ships are already in a circle around my Klingon ship. I die several times till I can get away for retribution.

well, you have KvK so why not FvF?

were sick and tired to have to wait 45 minutes or more for a 10 minute game so this is certainly welcomed.

How about you get to pick and choose. F&KvF

I might eventually try a Klingon character but am currently satisfied trying to advance my Fed character through the ranks. However, if being a Klingon means exclusively going on PvP missions, it's probably not for me.

It's PVP and PVE. You don't have to always fight a live Fed player.

when/if the klingons die out so will i from this game and several others i know of, wich is a shame weve all been waiting for years for a nice star trek game.

They would not dare remove the Klingons from the game. I may end up being the only one, but Klingons will be here long after the Federation side turns to ashes.

Right before the map is about to restart make sure you are cloaked and going full impulse. When the map restarts you'll all spawn together, but you'll be essentially shot out of a cannon and flying away. If you get kicked out of impulse from an AoE attack, chances are you'll still be in cloak, so just pop an engine battery and "evasive maneuvers" out of there.

I've rarely had anyone follow me once I go into EM, especially since the Feds are either too busy killing another Klingon or still yelling at how the instance is still bugged.
