Well, they kept me from canceling for one more day with talk of this patch. Maybe, just maybe they're gonna pull some magical rabbit out of a hat that will fix everything, make everyone happy, and make this a game worth subscribing to.
Yeah and the Republicans and Democrats will all hug each other in Congress and make a bill together that both fully agree on. That is if you live in the U.S. or have kept up with this health care bill mess.

I gave up on our politics when a democrat run Congress renewed the Patriot Act. I'm guessing since we live in a republic run dictatorship now, many companies feel they can behave as poorly as the government and not expect their constituents or consumers to get upset.

Well in that case no wander Cryptic/Atari is doing crazy things.
The biggest losers are the very people Cryptic is denying refunds to. Cryptic is/has killed this IP quicker than
than you could have imagined 3 weeks ago. I really think they need to be made accountable even if it is a man/women
in a black robe with a gavel that does it. If this game doesn't survive 18 months, it will be 100% Cryptics fault and for that, they should be held accountable.
Anyone that likes Star Trek will tell you, this IP with 40 years of history, 12 movies, 4 television series and countless games (some of which continue to live on to this day supported by enterprising fans) had the potential to become the next sliced bread.

And they destroyed it so easily.
P.S. Don't blame me for my avatar. Image edition is not my strong point LOL

I think a lot of Star Trek fans are desperate enough to want to stick by this game and wait it out, but I am not one of the Die Hard Trekkers. I love the shows and have seen all the STNG, DS9, and Voyager as well as all the movies, but I can't stand by this game.
I feel like I am playing a game in its Alpha release state, to me it is that bad. Their marketing practices were just the flame to the gasoline.

2 weeks ago, even after seeing a complete lack of content, I could not see how STO could fail. The size and scope a gaming universe like Star Trek offers gives the game so many different ways it can go that even with the limited gameplay offered at start, it would be hard not to see this game grow into something great. Unfortunately, I did not factor in greed and poor management. Which brings us to where we are now. I don't think STO will fail, but I no longer think that the game will be successful. It's been sullied in such a way, I do not think it will retain the numbers needed to keep the game growing or at least growing in a manner conducive towards a long game life cycle.

This is exactly how I feel. Well said.
Before this, the game was doing okay. Not great but okay. Now? There's no telling. I was going to go ahead and pay for another month, but with a company like this? No way. Absolutely no way.
I dont think this is the last of the shenanigans this company will pull. It wasnt the first either. And it wont be the last. Thankfully, I probably wont be around to be frustrated, outraged, and dissapointed by it.

No Joke. It's too bad we don't have a GR that can de-canonize things at will anymore.
ROFL!
