More communication from community staff regarding developer awareness of currently outstanding bugs and inbalances.
This also includes picking up on areas of confusion and setting the record straight in a official capacity through posting in forum threads, rather than waiting for the players to figure it out and for the news to spread by word of mouth.
Afew small missions added in the late LT level range, as well as one or two extra missions around LT.com 4-5, as I have found myself with 1 mission left or even sometimes none afew hundred skillpoints short of levelings whilst following the mission chains. Would be nice to not have to do repeatative exploration missions or repeatedly grind fleet actions just to hit the next grade to receive more missions.
A 'all in one' patch that goes some way to tidy up the small unimportant niggles left, such as Romulan frigates being branded 'Bird of Preys' exactly like Klingon ships, mission texts using place holder 'XXXX' as objective destinations.
Medium term
Same as short term, more communication from community staff in regards to relaying development news to the community on the forums themselves (Rather then leaving everyone clueless untill the next inpersonal news post is made).
This also includes picking up on areas of confusion and setting the record straight in a official capacity through posting in forum threads, rather than waiting for the players to figure it out and for the news to spread by word of mouth.
Improving AI for away missions significantly, as well as improving NPC AI in space to make ships less likely to beach themselves into debris and other objects.
Getting all fleet actions in working condition, making objectives clear and accurate and addressing small glitches regardless to how insignificant the development team think it is to ensure that the experience is all it should be for the actual players
Long Term (One thing pretty much classes as three)
Broadening the range of tools available to players in missions, this includes Improving exploration to feel more like exploration and less like scanning randomly spawning blots of light in the middle of a gas cloud.
Introducing more diverse objectives in all mission themes - So combat isn't all killing, but also has more covert ops sabotage of enemy shipyards, more disabling ships to retrieve classified information on enemy asset deployments.
Non-combat isn't all just walking up to large glowing object and pressing the same button as always and watching a timer, more missions based around dialogue and conversations to resolve disputes and gather information, more scientific missions to explore ruins, interface with computer systems of long dead civilisations to learn what happened to them.
More unique mini-story missions providing a range of options on what kind of path we wish to focus on, so rather then jumping from one space combat mission to another mission which is planetary walk abouts, players have a wide range of missions on offer so they can pick missions tailored for what it is they enjoy without having to worry about obtaining skillpoints to progress.
short term:
- why do i beam off my bridge to go back to piloting my ship?
- perhaps sitting in the captains chair
- away team officer pathing
- rep tracking, IE memory alpha
- greater explanations for everything (took me a couple days to figure out what a deflector dish was for)
- level cap's or damage reduction for higher levels in lower level sectors (level 40's camping crystalline entity)
- auto-join a raid group in fleet actions
mid term:
- id like to be able to walk around my entire ship, not just the bridge,
- quests having to do on my ship (Borg beam aboard, go mop em up)
- in a group when someone dies, don't have the ship explode right away, make it dead in the water (with a release button or something) and a party member can come revive you (fix hull, repair systems)
- neutral rep factions (after a certain amount of rep gain, they allow you into their space and perhaps unique items that race/faction has)
- raid groups (doing the crystalline entity with pugs is lame)
long term:
- customizing ship interior, say i find a super cool alien artifact that would look awesome in my quarters
- holo-deck training (testing new weapons or combos and such)
- more fleet action "bosses"
I know most of mine have to do with the ships interior and such, but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't the majority of star trek on a ship? and being able to customize your ship interior, or even walking around your ship would keep me busy for hours. It would be the equivalent of a house in other mmo's
Short-term:
More lifes Environmental & Ambient life, creatures, insects, npc civilizations, pre and technological advanced socieity, more substance and real physic in systems, both in space and on the ground.
Eliminate the need to purchase commodities items when doing quests, if you get assign to provide medical, communications, etc supplies I should not have to pay for these, first inventory space is limited, have to go back and purchase them, and then come back to finish the quest. We should be able to use replicators right then and there.
Fixes the Pet AI path
Eliminate our abilities to see the other sides while flying in sector space, there should be an element of surprise as we travel. This is important in PVP
PVP Fighting - Remove the abilities that allows the opposing sides to see name icon/tags of the other sides, this is a beacon, where certain players get gank immediately because the other side can click on the icon and find out what type of ships they flying.
Fix the CRAFTING system it does not work, it does not make sense, does not engage the players, it is frustrating you have to keep harvesting and talk to Cpt Romaine, buy equipments, and repeat it all over and over again. I still have not gotten past the 1st stage to access the other crafting NPC yet.
Fix the Widescreen POV for people playing with three monitors, pov is off in ground combat, and when you customize or create a new character, you cannot see them in widescreen, you have to move to a single screen.
Community Developers Events- have them play as an enemy force and invade certain zones that will engage the community where those who engages and win, will get special equipments, etc.
More diverse contents and story line, not every quests or systems, have to be combat all the way through the mission chain.
Mid-term:
Combat Fighting, it really should be based from a bridge view, not a camera view, being able to rotate my cam pov or always following the target, take the STO combat feeling out of it, I should be fighting from my bridge, using radars, and other technological like sensors along with my BO to track and figure out which direction the enemy is going.
Fixed CD, cooldown, on certain science ship skills, eliminated some of the shared time, and decreases the amount of time to trigger another.
Give Science ship another slot like a special science weapon slot to do burst damage, or increase some core science abilities, science ship are the only ship that do not get any extra ship slots, escort have one extra forward slot, cruiser get another weapons slot in the entire ship line.
Fixes PVP & Fleet actions points systems awarding players only on DPS contribution, and to the highest, is unfair to other players, who play more of a support role or may have done others things, which help the highest players, they may have weaken the other guy, where they got killed, but the other players was killed by someone else and they get the credit unfair.
Give us the abilities to assign different formations styles to our Pet, - Follow me, Single File, Wide Column, Flank Right, Flank Left, point person, cover me, move to corner, box formation, stacked formation, left formations, etc. The Pet Way Flag system is not that great
Allows us to beam down to any planets or large objects
More intelligence information when you scan, I should be hearing M3 class planets, oxygen 80% carbon 15, %, population 1 billions, etc.
Long-term:
More Open PVP Zones, Systems and Sectors, that are not instance, where if you travel into these area, make it seamless, and any factions can warp into any system in this area, and not know what to expect to find each others, and awards points for holding systems, the longer they can hold on to the system, better access and rewards to certain technologies,
Players housing, contents let players create contents for certain system.
More diverse contents and story line, not every quests or systems, have to be combat all the way through the mission chain.
just one of each:
- Short term: Difficulty setting
- Medium term: full PvE experience for Klingons
- Long term: Ferengi faction based on mission profit
Short Term:
- Lag fixes/new server hardware and software optimizations
- More hotkey slots per row or a real 3rd row of hotkeys
- Respec
- More in-depth skill description
- Option to turn off Sector Map grid UI (it's killing immersion)
- Option to turn off multi-item selling prompt
Mid-Term:
- Engine update to allow for full 360 pitch in space
- Option to get rid of grid interace while in Sector Space
- Flight stick and throttle support
Long Term:- Removal of skill cap
- All planets accessible for away team exploration
- Real planetside environments (eg. fauna, etc.)
Bold item is really important to me. I want full 3D flight, not flight on a 2.5D plane as it currently is right now with the limited pitch of the spaceship.
More missions throughout the levels (not just at the top - spread out from 1-45 so that there's more options)
More ships (both Fed and Klingon side)
Klingon PVE (Episodes specifically - Exploration missions are nice and all; but Klingons could have some really interesting and different missions from the Federation)
Felinoid race parts for the character creator
Federation Melee weapons, more Klingon melee weapons too. (The Bat'leth is nice, but it's hardly the only weapon they've got!)
Long Term:
More content all around (of course)
More weapon types; including stuff that's a bit more adventurous (ex: weapons that take up 2 weapon slots on a ship, but are powerful enough to warrant it.) More skills of course too to go with such things.
The ability to choose which hardpoints my weapons use. That is - instead of having some ships fire Dual Beam weapons out of their nacelles, let me choose a different set of hardpoints on the hull to fire them from. Let me spread my Turrets across the hull, rather than having them all clumped into a Foreward or Rearward spot. (I hate that if I have 2 rear turrets for instance, they both fire from the same location; and that even if I have a forward turret and a rearward turret, they fire out of locations very close to each other)
Very Long Term (ie: 2+ Years out) -
Additional factions - Caradassians or Romulans, with their own PVE campaigns to play through and stuff to do.
-End game content! (Yes, It's coming I know, keep it coming!)
-Difficulty sliders
-tweaks and bug fixes
Medium term
-New story missions with variable endings, outcomes and paths... I'm so tired of the kill 0/10 ships. /I must have killed over 100,000 people in game so far if you count crew that's probably on the ships I've brutally murdered in a non starfleet fashion
-Diplomacy! Diplomacy! Diplomacy! I feel like some bloodthirsty klingon, not like a starfleet officer
-PvP that swades the map, and has a real impact besides just passing the time.
-Open pvp zones, and pvp zones where all ranks and combat with themselves. An Admiral could fight a lt.com for example.
Long Term
-Player/faction Bases
-San Francisco, not just starfleet academy but some city too to expore, go to the club or walk the streets (All this killing is making me lose my mind, need to relax)
-Ability to poly-crew ships, I fly, my buddy uses skills, another friend shoots
-Romulan and Cardassian playable factions with content.
- Fix the preorder costumes please.
- Server upgrades. (Yes, it's obvious and Cryptic is working on it. But I don't have much else to mention right now.)
- A way to turn off in-game e-mail. A lot of us don't use it, and the mail just fills with gold seller spam.
Mid-term requests
- Add a PvE-only path to maximum level for the Klingon faction.
- More uniform options for both the Klingon and Federation factions.
- Better descriptions for skills, so that I actually know what benefit I'm getting when I'm putting points into them. (I don't seriously expect this, Cryptic being cryptic, but it's something that would greatly improve my enjoyment of the game.)
Long-term requests
- Romulan faction with PvE content equivalent to the federation.
- Still more uniform options. (I'm greedy that way.)
- Increased level cap, since the current cap appears to be temporarily set low.
-Durability of ship and player gear with a charge for repairs.
-A combat reset upon death while solo.
-No rez for players in group play while in combat. A Science ship should have a skill for a battle rez. Full reset of mob group if the group every player is killed.
Mid term:
-More missions with options. Diplomatic and combat options in the quest dialoge with different outcomes.
-NPC factions with exclusive content, bases, space stations, gear and quests.
-A working crafting system with items wanted and needed by players.
-Ships as player housing.
-Functioning bridge for sector space travel.
Long term:
-Multiple player factions with full PvE.
-Open space sectors for player/fleet housing in space or on the ground.
-Open sector space for continuous PvP with bonuses for your fleet/House.
-Content........Content..........Content.......... Did I say Content?
Short term
- Coloured weapons, it was an awesome 'bug' and I'd love to see it back as a full functionality.
- Fixes for the BO bugs, see http://forums.startrekonline.com/showthread.php?p=2002060#post2002060
- More clearity in your progress at Memory Alpha with crafting.
- Lag issues fixed/ improved server stability.
- Gold sell spam removed or at least limited (ability to toggle off whether or not I want to be whispered by low levels would help already)
- More end game content
- More auto fire options. Right now I'm getting RSI, need a new keyboard roughly every ~6 months and generally I can't pay attention much to what happens on screen due to having watch the short cooldowns of the weapons.
Mid term
- Skill cap at least raised, preferably completely gone.
- Skill respec.
- Ability to toggle on/ off the grid in sector space, preferably this would also toggle off the sector boards. That way sector space won't feel so limited while with a default on option it would also keep everybody happy that wants to see the grid.
- More bridge functionality;
Ability to hail friends from your bridge and see their face on the main view screen
Being able to access the replicator
Being able to access my mail
Being able to access my bank
Assign which BO should sit on which spot on the bridge
Sitting in the captains chair by double clicking on it
Etc.
Long term
- Being able to walk on your entire ship
- Fleet stations.
- Ability to level beyond level 45 and see more of those cool episodes.
- More end game content
- PvE content for Klingons
- More factions/ playable races
Short
- Create more missions, and several goals of the missions/tasks. "Agents" might be an idea, who are working for -and has as goals diffrent things. Not only combat, but it might be courrier, escort. combat, trade, pick-ups etc.
- Better chatsystem and windows. Able to chose our own channels like "Galaxy", "Beginner/help", "humans", "humanoids". "commanders" etc.
- More ships and moduls, and also the power/things you can do with each and everyone.
- More mission-storylines, or storylines
- Us beeing able to orbit around the enemyships by a press on a button.
Mid
- Players beeing able to create and join each others "guilds"/fleets (maybe we already can tho)
- Create several "sides", like factions and more "intregues" and "feelings" against player fleets
- Put a heavier weight on races, make them depend more like some races might not like each other and rules over diffrent regions (storyline wich could be combined with solo-missions.
- Open space explortion
- Ships as player homes/housing
- Open space or ground for fleets/guilds as "home" (Wich in some galxies can be pvp overtaken by others)
Long
- PVP Zones or galaxies, where player guilds/fleets can fight eachother in the name of war and in order to beeing able to control that galaxy.
- Come up with a way so that a characters skills doesent stops at 45, insert alot more skills in diffrent paths for a character to go/train -or create an real-time training instead of levling.
- In long term, create and build the game, as the players increase, so the game is more "depentent" on player vs player rather than player vs NPC.
As you might se, my influences are from EVE-Online, but i think STO is a GREAT Game and i am sure that the game will develop and be just as popular as EVE in the future. But i think that if you could get the best MMO-things from EVE into STO in your own style, then it would be the perfect game.
Some like to pvp, and some doesent. But we all like to play alongside eachother and if STO can find several pathts for each player like pvp, npc, tagging up and beeing on each sides, or following storyline-missions, then atleast i would be mote than satisfied! I am satisfied as it is, and think that You have come up with an exellent game. Thank You for that - but every best-seller has begun somewhere and like i said, im sure STO will be one of the best MMO in the future.
Fix naming bugs and other overal 'polish' aspects such as PVP KvK showing as Star Fleet Influence.
Adjust death penalty. As it is right now there is now worry about losing your ship, infact people use it as an offensive strategy.
Properly display how items effect skills. +20 Crit Severity means nothing to us unless we have a frame of reference for it. Consider using percentages, we are a smart crowd saying increases crit damage by 1% makes sense to us.
Medium Term
Adjust PVP Reward mechanics. Right now they encourage suicide teams as the rewards do not coincide with participation.
Add in bridge funcionality within sector space. We should be able to pilot from system to sytem via the bridge if we desire.
Focus on Fleet Action reward mechanics as they are right now they are being exploited (and I am an Escort Pilot)
Long Term
A complete overhall of the current skill system. It feels bloated with useless skills. Make it a hard choice for us to make between awesome skill A and awesome skill B not easy choice between craptastic skill C and obvious choice skill D
Klingons. I don't need to go into detail but they should represent half the player base and should have all the rights and privaledges of being their own faction. They feel like an afterthought.
Episodic content that gives choices and encourages other means of victory without having to lazer someone to death.
Reorganize the Power Store so that it's arranged by skill type (Ground or Space) and Officer Type. I'm spending far too much time trying to determine what's what when I want to retrain my BOs.
BO pathing. I've had to stop and Rally my Officers just to make sure they stay with me.
Simplify exploration badges. Why not just have the higher level stuff cost more instead of having four orders?
Medium Term
First Officers! Special abilities over and above normal BOs, and more of them by default. Perhaps as a mission reward either as an early Commander or late LtCom. Skills would of course cost more to level.
More ships. Excelsior, Oberth, Nebula, Ambassador. And more ship parts. Maybe I want my T1 Light Crusier to have nacelles more like the Voyager, or even the TOS Enterprise.
Episodes set on your ship. Even just using the stock interiors you already have.
Scoring more than on DPS in Fleet Actions. How about healing other players? Everyone might not be on the same team in an FA, but using Transfer Shield Strength to help out a struggling Escort should be rewarded somehow.
More character slots. If not, raise the skill cap.
Death penalty. There should be some kind, even if it's only exploding consoles.
Long Term
More factions. Romulans, Cardassians, Dominion.
Branching storyline Seasons. Having multiple options for progression so playing alts makes more sense. Right now, I fear that once I get to Rear Admiral I'll just stop playing since I hit the top and seen everything the game has to offer.
Sell me some character SLOTS, (he said "slots, hu-hu-hu, says Butthead). I'd like to build a Sci/Eng/Tact on both sides.
A way to kick a member off your team, when they are out of the instance or Q, unresponsive, unable or just not coming, to free up the spot for some other Red/Blue PvPer in that instance that would benefit from being on the team chat
how about a thorough listing of All the powers, thier effects, damage, duations, etc.etc.etc. I hate training up my skills not really knowing what the power i am aim at getting is going to do. Maybe some way to retrieve the skill points (or some of them) when you discharge a BO might be nice.
Thanks for listening guys/gals. We (the play-ahs appreciate it).
1. More Klingon uniform options, especialy for female.
2. T2 BattleCruiser.
3. Klingon Starcluster PvE content. (We need something other than the nebulas really badly.)
4. More descriptive tooltips on skills, powers, and certain items. (Ex: What the heck is the difference between Transphasic and Chroniton Torpedoes anyway?)
Mid-Term
(Stuff I expect to see over the next two months or so)
1. Larger variety of PvP games. (Seriously getting tired of Arena and C&H all day every day.)
2. Klingon Ship customization. (Nothing short of the options Feds have)
Long-Term
(Stuff I expect to see by the end of the year.)
1. Full Klingon Episode content, from tutorial to end-game.
2. Large scale PvP content, such as territory control.
3. An increase in skill / level cap.
4. The cryptic store to go away forever.
1. The ability to log in.
2. The ability to stay logged in, not get DC'd.
3. Cruiser turn rates adjusted.
4. The suggested fix for the admiral level skill point issue in my signature implemented.
5. Some content to do at 45, preferably worth doing repeatedly and taking plenty of time before done with it.
6. Toggle on/off for shield balancing.
Medium term:
1. More content for 40-44.
2. Merchant ships that sell commodities roaming exploration zones.
3. Respecs.
4. Improved fleet controls.
5. Improved information provided by skills, powers, and so on.
Long term:
1. Mini-games for non-combat stuff.
2. Lots more content for all levels, for all factions.
3. Dialogue related diplomatic missions that you can "fail" complete for less of a reward.
4. More ship models/parts for all level ranges.
5. Cardassian playable faction.
Hello this is a great thread and I would like to add my own suggestions .
Short-term list
1- Tips popup bug and general UI problems llike when trying to skill up, the stats doesnt get updated correctly when skilling up.
2- Better description of the effect of each skills in the captain's tree (the BO's are good, captain is hard to figure out) as well as console items (+1 to photons, what does it do exactly?)
3- fix the missions. Some missions are still bugged (borg fleet encounter for example).
4- fix bugs, like the warp animation not being always synched.
Med term list
1- Better bridge functionality and a rescale pass before adding new bridges
2- Open PvP encounters, like territory grabs etc (something more persistent than just your usual "unreal tournament matches in space"
3- A rethink of the death/respawn system. There is no challenge.
4- Redesign of memory alpha and the crafting system. Crafting is the most pathetic one i've ever seen. Again CO style crafting is not good for STO.
Long term list
1- Major rescale pass. From huge turbolift doors, to small ships vs stations, to the designs of rooms. Evrything is too big. There is a serious need to rethink the design here. CO style does not fit STO style and camera issues are none, you can find workaround to camera issues. There is already alot of fixes suggested here in the forums and examples can be taken from other games as well. Rescale is required
2- A new mission system. Again the actual system is taken from CO, you need to move forward and invent something new, better. Having missions dispatched via a screen with some guy standing doing nothing and reading text is not very good. This is how it was in CO, it was ok in there but try to innovate, don't just change the UI colors or you will endup with mmo clones based on an aging engine.
3- Show us that you care for this game on the long term. Don't bombard us with expansions, just keep working on it and work to maintain your player base, if you don't try to be too greedy, then you can have a hit title and lots of subscriptions for the long term. Don't TRIBBLE it up!!!
Short term
Put klingon Bridge officers on klingon ships (not the generics we have now)
Include some more NPCs to add the history of Gorn, orions etc in the klingon sector
Correct the respawns in PvP matches so you dont spawn on top of the entire other team.
Mid term
Klingon Content PvE
Medical bays and repair facilities in PvP guarded by turrets and used as the spawn location when you get killed in PvP
Dealing with hold/exploit damage and making standard weapons do more damage.
Long term
Open PvP space and ground.
More ships especial race specific ships
Race specific starting locations and stories mostly for klingon races as they are not all one happy federation of planets.
- Deliver/Enable all pre-order items. (TOS skirts come to mind as one example)
- Add even more server capacity so long waits in the queue are a thing of the past
- Crush bugs related to frequent disconnects, especially when on ground missions.
Mid-Term:
- Permit a 'universal' transwarp (with 30 min. cooldown) to all sizable stations in the game, including Memory Alpha.
- Provide new (and better) descriptions for character advancement and ship consoles so its plainly clear what adding points to various skills and switching from one type of deflector to another actually does.
- Tie participation in Fleet Actions to either character level or ship tier to give more parity to players competing for the rarer loot drops. Players will then compete among similarly-leveled characters and/or ships.
Long-Term:
- Create fully-functional ship interiors- Decked out ready room with medals/trophies, Bridge/Ten Forward/Engineering, etc. with lootable/buyable fluff items and expanded amenities like a scaled-down Ferengi merchant, opportunities for missions and RP to have their start on one's ship.
- Enable Klingon PvE and more playable races/factions (Romulan/Cardassian). There doesn't seem to be enough PvP variety at present to support playing a Klingon as a main and adding new factions/races adds freshness to the game.
- Improve Content by adding more episodes, further fleshing out the 'Genesis system', and developing more 'canonical' types of missions involving tough command decisions, intrigue, using technology to save the day, and employing clever diplomacy to resolve conflict.
More costume options from the show and films, specifically including female buns and long hair, long jackets, and other items illustrated with photos in the Costume Request Thread.
Social clothing for Risa (beach wear), Vulcan (robes) and other locales.
Mid-Term
Get Gorn, Orion, and Nausicaan ships in game, Klingon side. They wouldn't need to be that different from Klingon ships; they'd just have no cloaking device, and better shields or hull or something to compensate.
Get that Star Cluster Genesis content open to Klingons, so PvE is a realistic path to leveling.
Remove the Skill Cap. I call this "Mid-Term" because I hope that this was always the intention, and that the current skill cap is only in place while the level cap is also in place.
Long-Term
Romulan Faction, with PvE content.
Flesh out the Klingon faction with story-based Episodes and other PvE content.
Missions with multiple outcomes. The stories we have are good, but when we all know that they are just window dressing for repeatedly pressing F, there is no sense of success in completing them.
Short term-
Address the skill trees, they need reorganizing. The 60,700 cap is set to low, lack of points for admiral skills available.
Ship models into the c-store asap- nebla excelcisor etc etc
Medium term-
Ground comat- The only living thing on alien planets appear to be romulans, klingons, cardassians etc.. Add some life to the planets..
Space- I don't need to barrel roll, but 45 degrees is too restrictive when u build missions where u make us move vertical.. Making us spiral up is lame.
Transwarp options
Long term-
Add more story based content. If you don't like exploration missions or DSE's you shouldn't HAVE to do them to level, and you currently do. I should be able to level up via episodes and patrol missions without being stuck without content.
I want to be able to walk the halls of my own ship (the maps are already in place for this) and I want missions to take place on my ship. IE - klingons try to take over, medical outbreak, equipment malfunctions etc.. as seen on countless shows.
Here is my big one long term..... after admiral, let me give one of my BO's their own command, and they will start at lvl 11. I'd buy char slots for this, and it would make me more interested in leveling alts if they could skip the learning to play the game stage of 1-11.
Short Term:
-Pre-order bonus fixes (so we don't have to hear any more whining about them)
-Exchange: auto-sort by lowest price first
-weapons holstered except for when in combat
-gold sellers - add a filter to in-game and mail communications that auto-blocks messages containing certain text identified by cryptic as spam related: if messages containg [gold seller site here].com are auto filtered, it'll at the bare minimum have to force the spammers to constantly keep acquiring new domains to function.
-camera lock: give me a toggle to allow me to lock the camera at the current viewpoint relative to my ship.
-documentation - a bit more info about just everything in the game might be nice.
-disable tooltips/skip tutorial (we're already "skipping" a tutorial for the klingons.. just do the same thing for fed chars once someone's hit level 6.
-existing content fixes
-fleet action level brackets
-upper tier cruiser turning, even if it is just out of combat.. I'm intentionally delaying my cruiser captain just because I don't want to go through that torture.
-latency issues in large PC gathering locations. Would scaling the number of roaming useless NPC's help any? ("beam out/in" NPC's as PC's enter/leave map?)
Medium Term:
-True 3-axis space movement.
-Klingon PvE content - some of us really don't have any interest in PvP
-More diverse content - mix and match some of the current elements - add random NPC encounters to ground situations, get rid of the magic "5" number
-Allow players to purchase (in-game credits) add ons for their bridge - links to the exchange, mail, bank, vendors, customizers, etc.
-alter fleet action rewards scheme to balance out amongst the three ship classes and their strengths
-Additional ship customization - I'd love to use some of the parts from other tiers (or even other classes), because let's be honest.. some of the existing designs are less than stellar.
Long Term:
-Expanded content engine - give us choices that determine the outcome of the mission and the rewards that come with it. Diplomacy, non-lethal/explosion ending combat, ship based missions (how many of the tv episodes occur solely on the ship?) Mini-games?
-Expanded genesis engine - something a little more than fly in circles in the exploration sector stopping at "unexplored systems"
-A better "crafting" system - I'm really not a crafter, but the current setup ultimately feels like a waste of effort.
-Non-federation ferengi - what's more fun than trying to make a profit?
Really minor gripe:
-change the animation for running while scanning. it's like the character's joining in an irish dance festival
1) Skill trees need to be reworked from the ground up
2) End game content, fleet actions, group missions
3) Ship & Class rebalancing
Mid
1) Open world PvP, engage enemy ships on the sector map
2) Better storylines that don't just abruptly end, the episodic content is disappointing at best.
3) More mission variety, maybe some actual puzzles rather than having your bridge officers explain everything that happens to you.
Long
1) Better crafting system (existing system is garbage, limited item selection, no way to reliably acquire the data samples needed)
2) Galaxy map expansion
3) Factional area control, let player actions determine what sectors are held by which faction (ex. Klingons actually take over Fed space)
-Return to character select screen on "log out". (When I'm done playing I'll hit "exit".)
-Fleet Action level brackets
-Fleet action end reward system redo
-Uniform bug fixes
-Basic colors available for uniforms. (red, green, blue, ect; and put them off to the side where I can find them PLZ.)
-Better tool-tips on skills
-Difficulty sliders
-Respecs
-Heal cool-down times reduced.
Mid:
-Ground mission diversity
-Voice over on all story mission dialog
-Rearrangement of skill "trees" to follow some sort of reasonable logic.
-BO voices
-The "bigger cargo holds" and "massive warp cores" on cruisers to exist.
Comments
Game needs an actual manual.
lessen spammy chat, or hearing radius or whatever it is.
A few minor things like clickable seats and minor graphical tweaks.
Medium Term:
Missions that force players to work together, be it in terms of rescuing a stricken players ship or what have you. Maybe away teams.
Improve the chat. different windows for fleet/friends chat. So that I can open or minimize them too.
less combat, the ability to disable or have surrenderings ships. Or at least make combat a choice at times, rather than an inevitability.
Long Term:
Allow higher level players to gain access to periodic rare items for their outstanding work for starfleet!
Far more explorable places to go, maybe even in discovering somewhere new you get to make your own new race of aliens for Star Trek or something :P
Give me the option to go au natural. ^.~
- Short term: Difficulty setting
- Medium term: full PvE experience for Klingons
- Long term: Ferengi faction based on mission profit
It's very useful to see feedback presented so clearly and efficiently.
Mid-term
Long-term
Stability/Lag fixes
Fixes for Uniform issues
Medium Term:
(I'm sure I'll think of more too >.>)
-End game content!
MID: GamePlay - Open Space - Exploration
Long Term: Really, if you don't fix things now - you won't be around for long term.
- More bridge functionality;
Long term
- Being able to walk on your entire ship
- Fleet stations.
- Ability to level beyond level 45 and see more of those cool episodes.
- More end game content
- PvE content for Klingons
- More factions/ playable races
Medium Term
- Adjust PVP Reward mechanics. Right now they encourage suicide teams as the rewards do not coincide with participation.
- Add in bridge funcionality within sector space. We should be able to pilot from system to sytem via the bridge if we desire.
- Focus on Fleet Action reward mechanics as they are right now they are being exploited (and I am an Escort Pilot)
Long TermMedium Term
- First Officers! Special abilities over and above normal BOs, and more of them by default. Perhaps as a mission reward either as an early Commander or late LtCom. Skills would of course cost more to level.
- More ships. Excelsior, Oberth, Nebula, Ambassador. And more ship parts. Maybe I want my T1 Light Crusier to have nacelles more like the Voyager, or even the TOS Enterprise.
- Episodes set on your ship. Even just using the stock interiors you already have.
- Scoring more than on DPS in Fleet Actions. How about healing other players? Everyone might not be on the same team in an FA, but using Transfer Shield Strength to help out a struggling Escort should be rewarded somehow.
- More character slots. If not, raise the skill cap.
- Death penalty. There should be some kind, even if it's only exploding consoles.
Long TermA way to kick a member off your team, when they are out of the instance or Q, unresponsive, unable or just not coming, to free up the spot for some other Red/Blue PvPer in that instance that would benefit from being on the team chat
how about a thorough listing of All the powers, thier effects, damage, duations, etc.etc.etc. I hate training up my skills not really knowing what the power i am aim at getting is going to do. Maybe some way to retrieve the skill points (or some of them) when you discharge a BO might be nice.
Thanks for listening guys/gals. We (the play-ahs appreciate it).
Mid: Redesign the skills/level system from the ground up, rather than leaving a cap on a skill tree that is not designed or balanced for a cap.
Long: See Mid.
(Things I am expecting to see any patch now)
Don't TRIBBLE it up!!!
.02$
SV
- Ready Rooms and other interior ship locales.
- More costume options from the show and films, specifically including female buns and long hair, long jackets, and other items illustrated with photos in the Costume Request Thread.
- Social clothing for Risa (beach wear), Vulcan (robes) and other locales.
Mid-Term- Get Gorn, Orion, and Nausicaan ships in game, Klingon side. They wouldn't need to be that different from Klingon ships; they'd just have no cloaking device, and better shields or hull or something to compensate.
- Get that Star Cluster Genesis content open to Klingons, so PvE is a realistic path to leveling.
- Remove the Skill Cap. I call this "Mid-Term" because I hope that this was always the intention, and that the current skill cap is only in place while the level cap is also in place.
Long-TermAddress the skill trees, they need reorganizing.
Long:
General improvements in:
-Raids
-PvP
