Cutty Sark, she may not be a warship but by far the prettiest Tea clipper. I think the Bellerophon LRSV is such a nice looking vessel it had to be named something awesome.

    KDF Toon
Thermopylae, being Cutty Sarks Rival it was best suited as my B'Rel BoPs! name :P

    Why, what happened to KiraYamato?

KiraYamato was the name of my Cryptic Account. Unfortunately, I was forced to make a new Perfect World Account to merge the Cryptic Account with. The KiraYamato @handle is still in use in-game, but all my Forum Interactions are under the new Account Name--not to mention I lost all of my Cryptic Account's Forum Subscriptions.

    B.O.H.I.C.A.
Bend over, here it comes again. :D

Origin is a 'unofficial' US military acronym for the TRIBBLE the officers give you every time they come on deck.

If you visit my page (link in signature) on stowiki, you will read that Zazapalooza has 4 ships all of them bare strange Welsh names.

    U.S.S. Pyped NCC-93118 (puppet)
U.S.S. Addewid Gwag NCC-93462 (empty promise)
U.S.S. Marwolaeth Seren NCC-931134 (death star)
U.S.S. Llong Fach NCC-93672 (little ship) - runabout shuttle

Skoodge still has but one ship "Blorch Bane" in honor of the first planet he conquered.

    U.S.S. Diemaco (pronounced "Dye-mah-co")

Named after a government-contracted Canadian defence company (firearm design & manufacturer). They supply the CF, whom I am employed, with tools of the trade. Or so they did once. Unfortunately, a few year back they ran into financial problems and were bought out by Colt (company now called Colt Canada). So, this is like a quiet tribute to them and to national military industrialization pride.

I've always liked how the name was spelt, how it "rolls off the tongue" when spoken. I've chosen it as my legacy ship name. Will follow me through my Starfleet career. I also picked it because it is rather obscure and there's a very low chance I'd ever see it on another ship.

Originally, when I played the game 2 years ago, my first ship was named the "Sulaco" (in affection of another of my all-time favorite sci fi series). However, I soon discovered that it was a well known and liked named and I eventually saw dozens (and now there are likely many hundreds of ships out there named it) and so I figured it was time to change or invent a different name and try my best to be original or unique.

Reposting to get rid of Archived Post:

Manuel Belgrano for my main (always rename the new main to this, using the pennant of the first ship i had plus the A/B/C and so), for both the Argentinian patriot and the cruiser that was sunk in the Malvinas war, also it goes with the naming rules of the Armada Argentina.
Zarate for my main shuttle because it is the name of my city and because it also goes with the naming rules of the ARA (small combat capable ships are named after cities with big river ports).
The other ships have names according the the naming rules of the ARA, fitting for their tier, and my Oddie is called "25 de Mayo", as the ARA carrier that was decomissioned in 2000.

    U.S.S. Dreadnought NCC 92974
    Odyssey Star Cruiser

I've used Dreadnought for several things, going back many years. I use the name generally for ultra-powerful ships I make up, and I decided to carry the name into STO as my flagship. While this Dreadnought isn't that powerful, when I get a HEC the U.S.S. Dreadnought-B will be.
I ask nothing but that you remember me.

Two ships after the Dreadnought (which is in my signature and posted about two replies above) comes...
    U.S.S. Black Phantom
    NCC 92976
    Tactical escort Retrofit

I named it Black Phantom because it cloaks. It comes out of nowhere, then disappears, and what's left is your burning hulk of a ship.

I have a habit (being a RL engineer) of naming my ships after engineering achievements, or persons of note, from my home state.

    My first cruiser was:

USS Fremont - Named for the Fremont Bridge in Portland, OR

    My second cruiser was:

USS McCullough - Named for famed Oregon bridge engineer Conde B. McCullough

Currently, I run 2 end game cruisers:

USS Yaquina Bay - Named for the Yaquina Bay Bridge (a McCullough design) in Newport, OR.

USS Abernethy - Named for the George Abernethy Bridge in Oregon City (I-205) which in turn is named in honor of Oregon's first governor.

Commander Moira Stern currently helms the Advanced Heavy Cruiser U.S.S. Paragon, NCC-946478-A.

Why Paragon? Call it homage. I came back to STO after the announcement that City of Heroes was shutting down, and needed a name for the Cruiser I was flying at the time. Given that I've been sort of following a pattern of naming cruisers in a psuedo-British Navy style, and wanted to honor a beloved pastime of mine that will be going away in a couple of months, Paragon seemed to fit.

Since then, I've made Commander, and the original U.S.S. Paragon has been retired, leaving the Paragon-A to carry on her legacy of thundering broadsides, a quirky crew, a nutter of a Welsh engineer for a captain, and horrible things done to replicators and other subsystems in the name of boredom on long patrols.
