Meh Typical Pre launch festivities. Not surprised, nor does it effect how I view the game.. Status quo for Launches.

The world isnt ending.. The game isnt broken.. if this is your first ever launch of an MMO.. welcome to reality.
Anyone who says different is looking at the MMO through rose colored glasses, and has a faulty memory.

I cant think of but one game at all that had a "perfect" launch.. and it didnt last long. Anyone remember Auto Assault? Didnt think so.. Only reason it had such a perfect launch.. Only 1200 people bought it. It didnt live long.

Take server downtime like this with a grain of salt.. stop the moaning and crying, and rest assured they arnt sitting around with a thumb in their butt.. they are working to get their server back up.

Personally I thought the "mega" server idea for this game was a bad idea.. Figured it would be to popular.
    Seems it is.

Dont get me wrong, I want to play to.. but.. this is how MMOs Launch.. deal with it. Or go buy some TRIBBLE PS3 game for 50 bucks and finish it in 30 hours.

Either way.. I am here for the long haul.

Damien, I'm pretty sure there are two Del Tacos in Chilocothe. It's like maybe a 30 min drive for you.

Hmm thanks. I checked on their webpage and it only listed Toledo..... still though.... wait... I have a friend in Chillicothe...... sweet going to go call him...if I can find his number.

I wonder how many of the people whining and complaining about the downtime actually took the time to read the business contract (EULA/ToS) we made with Cryptic when we created/paid-for our accounts - specifically where it states (to paraphrase) "There will be downtime and you agree we don't garauntee the availability of the service", etc etc yadda yadda.

When you pay your sub, you pay for downtime too - and downtime is more often used to IMPROVE the game and gameplay-experience. Sure a crash may happen, but usually a crash is much better to experience than, for example, a database corruption that perpetuates to a total failure without the symptom of a crash (or any symptom for that matter.) As a developer myself, I'd rather have these crashes and am empathetic to what they're dealing with.

Honestly though, the people whining about downtimes should just quit and stop paying for their sub. If you don't like the terms of the agreement you made with Crypitc, then don't renew! That's the ONLY real way to express to a company how you feel.

I beleive you have to wait until you get the retail code tie to that pre-order bonus to be able to activate it.

    OMFG...

Will people PLEASE, PLEASE read the FRONT PAGE NEWS ENTRY THAT ALREADY SAYS PREORDER BONUSES OF ANY KIND WILL BE MADE AVAILABLE BASED ON RETAIL SERIALS ON THE 2ND OF NEXT MONTH?!

I'm going to take Kirk's approach: Unless you scream and swear every other word, no one ever listens...

On that note: IF YOU LACK THE INTELLIGENCE TO READ THE STUPID FRONT PAGE OF THIS WEBSITE, YOU DO ***
    NOT
*** BELONG ON THESE FORUMS!

The front page really DOES contain valuable information about these types of issues! READ before you post.

Or we can go Sam Jackson, SHAFT style: "Read the ***** f'n post before your ***** f'n post, ***** f'er!" :D

I'm sorry, I know that was stupid, but like Kirk said about the late 20th and early 21st...

The raid array is shot to heck. They don't think they will be able to get the redundant drives up so we all have to re-roll our characters after they reinstall the OS and the game server component.

PSYCH!!! It takes time to figure out why a server crashed. It'll come up when it comes up. :D
