:( nope, note yet. I had some Lodge stuff come up that I had to take care of. As of this post I'm half way thru Lt. Cmdr. 9. I'll get it tonight if I survive thru walking in the wicked snow storm on it's way here in Boston. Wish me luck . . .

Thanks for thinking of me Hathaway, I'll see you guys in game tonight. :D

Hello, FrankieDoo! Thanks for stopping by.

Hey! Sharp! No problem! It's my duty to welcome UFP here. I've been out here in the whole ST community thing since 1998.... It's only logical to do that.

I also intend to make a treaty so, we can become allies. :D

Intelligence gathering suggest that UFDF is reforming/rebuilding itself. up. My baby is rising form hashes again! It's safe to say that I won't be part of UFDF. I've chosen a different path. I'll sign an alliance with them too though.

A personal farewell to Admiral WinN, one of the longest serving members of the UFP. While he may be retiring from the fleet, I'm glad to say he'll still be around for a potential return in the future.:)

    Hey Team,

So I finally get online and get Team Speak going, and all of a sudden the STO server goes down. Oh well, even more anticipation for me I guess! :D

Hello Trace_Thorne, Thanks for posting our fleets information onto your Fleet list!
As a note, the UFP is in all timezones, we have alot of European players and north amaerica players.

Thank you for your time in creating this Resource. It looks excellent!

    Thank you!

    Cmdr 6!
Still slightly undecided as to whether to go for Intrepid or Galaxy-class when finally hitting Captain... decisions decisions. What do you reckon?

Anyway, if you're looking for a pure Star Trek gaming fleet supporting STO as well as numerous other big Trek titles, {UFP} should definitely be on your candidate list. With almost 8 years in the making, many fine and experienced officers, a jovial and relaxed atmosphere, and a strong ethos in mutual respect and common sense, we have a lot to offer new recruits. Not to mention many different avenues of fleet positions and gaming fun.

So check out our 2002 fleet, the UFP at www.ufplanets.com. (Fleet name in game is UFP)

Ditto what said about our community Hathaway . . .

I'm @ Cmdr. 5. I have been spending alot of tome crafting or I would be higher in rank. I've made 400,000 energy point in the last few days!!
About the ship . . . I'm going Galaxy Class all the way. When I max out I'll go back and buy ships.

You're gonna have to teach me a thing or two about crafting Alan, I don't think I've done any at all. Nice job raising that amount of credits though:eek::cool:
Thanks for the compliment Garet lol;)

Don't join this fleet if you value openness of opinions and open discussion. You will be shot down every time.

If you like the "peace" of that type of environment then join. They're a decent fleet and I know a lot of people who would or are enjoying that type of stuff. Just don't expect to be able to voice your opinions without being told "that's inappropriate to talk about".

If you don't mind the lack of open discussions you'll probably have no issues here.

EDIT: Don't take this as an attack. I'm just trying to ward off loud opinionated people like me who would likely have the same experience.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion...however, I don't know anyone who's had a problem speaking up. We average around 10-40 on TS 24/7 where there is nothing but open discussions. And the forums are full of posts from Admirals all the way down the Crewmen with opinions and suggestions. See for yourself before taking anyone's word for it...

    Hello USS Parallax,

To what openness are your refering too? I am very much enjoying the openess of ideas and thoughts within this fleet. I have always felt open to share my ideas and thoughts with the UFP family and not everything is always agreed upon, but my ideas are shared and put out there for the fleet to discuss and think about.

Its alot of fun being in such a warm and friendly fleet. I am loving our Team Speak channel, I never used it before until last week and since then I have been jumping on whenever I can just to chat with fleet members who have common interests!

Hope everyone is enjoying STO as much as I am. First MMORPG and loving it! :D

I have to second what you said ClearyMonkey. I have have had no such issues as you posted Parallax. Not every Fleet will be a good fit for everyone. I wish you luck finding yours.

On to STO . . . This is also my first MMO and I'm having a blast!! Hanging out with my fellow {UFP}'ers and having fun and killing tango's. I'll see you tonight when I get home from work.

Parallax, the problem is we can't have people flaming up the forums, it doesn't do you any good (other than perhaps make you feel better for a short time), and it doesn't do either the target person or those watching the whole thing any good either.

Several times you were told that if you wanted to raise a complaint, there was a way in which you could do that, by speaking to someone who could look into the matter and make sure it was seen to. That's having your say, that's having something get done about it, and that's keeping the peace... especially when disrupting it is over something which is fairly trivial.

If that above paragraph makes you feel like we have a stifling environment, well I hope you find where you're looking for, but I don't doubt it will be a riot of a location. I still believe with just a bit of restraint your membership could have continued unabated... we've all gotta exercise a bit of self-restraint in our lives after all.

We have almost 8 years of fleet leadership and community under our belt. It's been a long and sometimes difficult road to travel, and while I will never say our fleet is perfect, as we always strive to improve, I am very proud and content with how we work. Thankfully so are the vast majority of our members, past and present.

I also want to iterate an important point to anyone else reading this. Parallax was not kicked from the fleet. We're not that unforgiving and we understand everyone is different. Obviously we all have to cohabit together and therefore fall under the same rules and regs, but at the same time we're here to help people get the best experience possible via the fleet. If that takes a little extra work for some people (and you know who you are), then so be it. We're willing to be patient and try a little harder sometimes.
But in any case, good luck in your new fleet.
