Yay!
happy about this as well, that poor thing needed a spit polish badly
True. I'm certainly going to buy the pack, been waiting for it for years.
The escort looks good too. Battle cloak, 5/2 weapon lay out.
And it has an experimental weapon that can explain why some crew like on SB 39 have been hitting their consoles since forever.
My only gripe is the seating and console layout on the patrol and the sci. The deep space, and patrol where always engi heavy ships. A lt.cmd sci doesn't make any sense on a patrol escort nor does the sci heavy console layout. Same thing on the deep space sci ship referb... why does it have a lt cmd tac, and 4 tac consoles? Not sure why he choose that route over keeping them both engi heavy versions as they always have been.
Though we'll probably not see exclusives cut before the sun goes nova since this type of negative dynamic will never show in the metrics (as any bundle purchase can be taken as assumed validation for the exclusive, there's no valid point of comparison to test the effect against since this is all Cryptic is shipping in new c-store content), and thus won't ever be considered as something to cut by the team (no matter the direct feedback).
Notable missions: Apex [AEI], Gemini [SSF], Trident [AEI], Evolution's Smile [SSF], Transcendence

This bundle is important to me. I have been asking and hoping for the next generation hand weapons for a while.
The picard Uniforms are great, lots of us wanted them. I am also always happy when Thomas and crew update original ships from early in the game. Star Trek Online deserves all the Love it can get.
There IS a fear I have that sours my optimism and it is not unjustified.
When the Neo Constitution class came out, it came with it's own unique phaser beam arrays. I was looking forward to a "sharper" thin, more reddish/orange particle beam as seen on screen in Star Trek Picard season 3. Much to my dismay, the Dev in charge of the weapon merely made the values different (a numbers game) while using the default standard federation orange phaser beam FX in game.
To me this is lazy. It is somewhat insulting to fans who put real money forward to get these prize novelty items.
Now I see the Next Generation Phasers and I dread the thought that all they are is a token item to equip in the holster of your character but what will come out of them is a standard generic in game phaser effect.
The Next Generation Phaser Rifle type 3 that was only aquired via the Nexus Mission with Laforge was BRILLIANT.
The devs did that one right. They gave unique Beam FX which even cause that early TNG season "shock wave" of phaser energy to reflect off the target upon impact. (An effect I specifically suggested multiple times. So I was really happy they went with that.)
I am hoping the TNG phasers will have the same or similar FX, and if they don't I hope Dev's read this and seriously consider putting them in.
This is not unreasonable as they are different weapons than the standard in game weapons from the 25th century.
People are spending real money here and a new weapon is more than just the casing/body of the object. What comes out of it and what it does should be unique as well!
For the cricket/type 1 I would expect a bright beam but somewhat more narrow/sharp than a standard type 2 phaser. It would be funny if the cricket could be set to forced chamber overload and kicked to the enemy to explode (like the Enterprise Phase Pistol.)
For the Type 2 Dustbuster, basically the same beam and shockwave as the TNG Phaser Rifle.
For the Type 2 TNG hand Phaser I would be OKAY with it being the same beam as the TNG rifle, but it would be better to have a more unique beam. Perhaps more deep orange and it causes vaporization. The second setting just a stun.
If devs have already given these weapons Unique FX then write this off as cautious optimism, but don't act like my concerns aren't valid here.
I am happy to see this new content I just wish I didn't have this skepticism about whether it's going to be more than just a vanity shield for hand weapons.
Please be substantial so players can live their Lore. Looking forward to purchasing these items...
Thanks.
The Nexus Missions where you get the TNG Phaser Rifle from Laforge was PERFECT. They made unique TNG style phaser beam for that rifle, complete with a phaser "shock wave" that bounces off the target on impact, just like in the early episodes of TNG.
The Neo Constitution Class came with it's own unique phaser banks but the beam FX were generic standard default fed phasers.
Another case in point: The Picard Obliviating Phaser Beams were not reddish elongated pulse beams, they were simply the exact same beams AND SOUND FX for the wrath of khan pulse phasers. The Picard S2 obliviating phasers looked a lot more like Kelvin Timeline red phaser pulses (but elongated) in the show. So why then in game did the devs just recycle th Wrath of Khan pulse phasers!?? (Obviously they didn't want to pay anyone to make screen accurate unique FX for the Obliviating Phasers. Which is unacceptable since these were being sold for real money in game.)
This game used to give complete items. A complete item would be something like a New Weapon WITH Unique FX, including sound FX. NOT JUST numerical value changes.
It seems to be a cheap move to short change the fans by only giving a new name and icon or the look of the body of the device without actually offering a new effect and new features.
Lately the moderators here have been suppressing criticism from fans. Which is another unacceptable thing. Lets see if this comment is targeted.

And I guessed right that they wouldn't leave out the star cruiser, too! Holy heck, this is awesome! I'm a bit too overwhelmed to describe the feelings right. Thank you so, so, so much, Cryptic!
Where are people getting the info on what the ships have, though?
It should be engineering heavy but ok...
Also why doesn't say on the starship traits if they are permanent on the map or just for a certain time. A bit more information on these special traits would have been nice.
Patrol Escort: This is definitely the weirdest one. It feels like a completely different ship compared to its lineage with its forward weapon focus(patrol escort had the best omni-directional weapons firepower of the escorts), science lean(patrol escorts were the eng-escort path), and even a battlecloak(Starfleet ships traditionally only get regular cloak from Intel spec). There was also no mention of the Tempest Tailgun - revising it or otherwise. The timing is also a bit ironic as an Intel Eng-heavy escort would be highly desireable right now due to Isomag consoles. Not saying it's bad(it looks quite solid, actually), just that this is really unexpected for what it's "supposed to be".
Star Cruiser: Bridge layout is a little awkward, but it very much is on brand with the chassis. Looks like a good candidate for PBAOE space-magic, healing and tanking shenanigans. I'm curious about its console's finer details - it appears to be a direct upgrade to the old Subspace Jumper console(something I still run on my Durgath, despite the lack of passives).
DSSV: I WISH other factions got a science vessel this nice. Bridge layout is very friendly towards going full-sci or dew-sci. The Console also looks fantastic in concept - depending on numbers, it could very easily become a meta item for science builds.
Traits: They're interesting, but I doubt any of them will edge out the existing meta picks for our limited starship trait slots. They are beginner-friendly and applicable to a wide-range of ships/builds though.
One thing I'm VERY curious about, however, is why the DSSV and the Star Cruiser list a "hangar bays: 0" stat, when normally Cryptic completely omits the mention of hangar bays if there are none on a ship, like how the Patrol Escort doesn't even list it. Typo or mistaken listing? I would LOVE if both of those ships had a bay, but I doubt they do.
Other than Legendary ships, all C-Store ships in bundles can be purchased individually as well. Always been that way.
I have a question. The pages for the Augur (science vessel) and Justiciar (star cruiser) list "hangar bays: 0". Is this an error, and they DO have hangar bays, or was this a mistaken entry and they don't have any at all?
D'kyr, Constellation, Pioneer (T1->T6), and Somraw too (which I don't think has ever been linked with a T6 raptor line). Overall though I *hope* this means we've reached the bottom of the Starfleet barrel and circumstances force a KDF ship into the regular c-store (at some point FED bias has to give to diminishing returns on exploiting a single niche ad infinitum. See. Voyage Home for what happens when you poach your whales too intensively.)

oh they probably will throw one, maybe even two, really bad kdf ships in the c store as some point. then blame the community when it don't sell and use it as an excuse why they should only make fed ships. and I'm pretty sure we're already in severely diminished returns. all the promo ship and big packs are just so it looks things are going well or at least better then it really is.
through if cryptic would like to sell a T6 Hegh'ta as the the intel bird of prey I've been waiting for since delta rising launched it wouldn't take much for me to actually pay for it.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

There was no information in the release notes about the new Next Generation Equipment from the Flashback Package.
When it comes to the 3 new Hand Phaser Weapons; Will there be unique special FX? (IE: Unique screen accurate Beams and Sound FX)
The reason I ask is because when you released the Neo-Constitution Class, it came with supposedly unique phaser beam banks but the FX were just generic federation standard beams... Only the numeric values and icon/name changed. This was a disappointment.
Prior to the Neo-Connie, you had released Picard S2 "Obliviating Phasers" and yet again, no new graphics. Instead the Obliviating phasers recycled Wrath of Khan pulse Phasers even the sound FX! Only the name, icon and numerical values were tinkered. This to me registered as dishonest and a betrayal after I spend money to attain these weapons.
I wouldn't use such direct language (which is toned down frankly, as these experiences left me betrayed as a customer.) but the game used to offer new weapons complete with unique screen accurate FX. So this new habit of recycling old FX and just tampering with the numerical values seems to be a cheap-out, and I find that it's an incomplete product as such. It would be different if this had been the standard of practice from the start of STO. But STO used to always give new content.
A good example of this was the TNG Phaser Rifle that one could only obtain via the Laforge Nexus Mission....
That Phaser Rifle from TNG has a Unique Phaser Beam which matches the early seasons of TNG. When the phaser beam FX hits the target a pulse/shock wave of phaser energy ripples off the target just like in the early shows.
Your New Flashback Bundle is quite expensive. Will the hand weapons be complete with new Special FX (beams and sounds)? Or are they merely a skin for looking flashy in the holster on the toon and use standard default starfleet orange phasers?
This answer will determine whether I put forth over 100$ to purchase the bundle.
I'm sure others would like to know.
And on a side note as a customer I urge you to stop releasing recycled FX and when you introduce a "new weapon" please follow through with updated graphics. It's not too late to go back and do so for other released items. Obliviating Phasers should be elongated crimson pulses (like Kelvin timeline but longer and shinier.) And the Neo-Connie Phasers should be sharper, reddish orange particle beams with a more buzzing sound effect.
Take care and I hope this post isn't tampered with as it is trying to address a specific problem and question that isn't being asked anywhere else.

Personally it makes me wish even more that the Hydra was MW instead of Intel and then the Tempest would be unique enough for me.
Not sure why they didn't stick with 4 fore and 4 aft like that T5, would've made it unique over the other escorts.
Really? No one?

Personally I don't care about the ground weapons or uniforms.
I'm just happy that we can get a T6 Star Cruiser.
I dreaded this day.
Seems like T6 versions of the Tier 4.5 lockbox ships. E.g. Mirror patrol Escort.
First impression is that i will stay away from this bundle. Perhaps the console of the science vessel will be useful with vessels with a Secondary Deflector.
