Cryptic's stated that there's a bug with the Cyclone trait and cross posted that to these forums
Cryptic's really got to start communicating on more than just Twitter
They cross posted it here on the forums in a dedicated thread for cross posting located in this very subforum. It's easier to note where those updates go rather than generally stating they need to cast a wider net (without putting skin in the game by suggesting *how*). Sometimes it's the user's job to find communication channels rather than passively assuming info will filter to them. Learning is an active process and it's not always someone else's fault that information isn't reaching you.
Also, patch notes:
Resolved an issue that prevented captains form obtaining the trait Adaptive Tactical Algorithms when reaching Tier V of the starship Mastery for The Cyclone Intel Patrol Escort [T6]. In addition, this fix resolves other issues that may have occurred to captains who attempted to respec their skills after the trait failed to unlock
Resolved various ship customization issues with The Cyclone Intel Patrol Escort [T6]:
Fixed Maelstrom variant to allow usage of new window types (Type 0, Type 5, Type 6, Galaxy).
Added intel materials to the Cyclone.
Added a variety of missing details to the Cyclone, including turrets and navigation lights.
Oh thank goodness, on the model fixes being there too! I pointed that out once I noticed it, although the Augur is also missing some details.
Has anyone purchased the bundle or individual ships and what is your opinion on them?
To this point i still haven't convinced myself to spend a coupon on one of there ships.
The Cyclone has retro visuals and can now equip the nadeon bomb, but has lackluster console/trait and stats.
The Augur has retro visuals and a console which could be very useful on science builds, but an odd layout and trait.
The Justicar is an enlarged Starcruiser with a console which "might" be useful in PVP.
Are there strong points i am oblivious to or is this pack only focused on nostalgia.
This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.

The Cyclone's had a paradigm shift with its build but it can be an EPG/SCI monster with all of its boff seats able to be dedicated to intel/sci (all triggering spore infused anomalies). I run mine though with a couple higher tac abilities to make it a sci gunboat (using polaron for EPG/DEW/Torp buffs and set buffs so the thing excels across TAC/SCI without much trade-off). It's an excellent escort and you can certainly use it for more traditional builds.
The console is insane on raiders and I have no idea why folks are saying the trait is lackluster. There's no cooldown for the buff, so on something running 2 or 3 spec boff abilities you have a lot of uptime on simple "make ship better" buffs (heavy cat 1 or cat 1 with good perk) that expand out from the flanking build they wanted players to try here. So while the console is only a monster on raiders with other consoles to support it (my Adamant raider flanking build murders with it) you're getting a lot of utility for the Cyclone's trait. It's a solid foundation for spec-leaning builds, and you're going to need a lot of top tier traits to push it out of consideration (in which case the odds of any new trait mattering to you are practically nil, it has to break the meta to see significant play which shouldn't be a standard set for new ships by the devs.)
Ie. given they made the Cyclone flanking focused (but didn't optimize it for flanking, Adamant's way better for it) they did an excellent job here. It's one of the best escorts for science (without compromising on firepower as in the Ouroboros) and gives you a lot else to play with for other ships. And from the general design perspective: these ships are NOT trading in nostalgia as their primary selling point. It's getting players to lean more on specs.

That would be the Justiciar-class Star Cruiser.
