No content for away teams?
Uh... doesn't almost every mission in the game have both space and ground sections? I can only think of one or two that don't, and only a few that don't allow BOffs. The rest do.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

Mhm. I'm surprised if a story mission has no away team content.
On another note, I still remember when people were up in arms about T7s being a possibility because they didn't want to repurchase the same old ships. And yet, here we are ready to repurchase the same old ships.
The legendary ships are often not better though, just different and/or cheaper than the lock box / promo pack variants. They are still only T6 fleet level.
When I was getting a ship for a new science captain, I chose the Brigid over the Caelian (Legendary Vesta). The Brigid has +1 Lt level SCIENCE! power in place of the Lt. Commander tactical which makes it better for an exotic / radiation build. The Caelian is only better if you want more of a DEW + less-science build, and it's not better than other dewsci non-legendary ships.

Episodes do have ground portions, yes.
They're rarely played with other players though, so other players won't see your Boffs, and you won't see theirs.
Besides, I don't know about you, but I myself rarely play an episode more than once. Maybe a few times more if they have an interesting reward, or if sufficient time (usually a few years) has passed. Once you know the story, they're just not that entertaining anymore to me, personally.
For players like me, whose activity in-game mostly revolves around TFO's, there's very little content where Boffs can be used on the ground.
True, the only open-world ground area that allows the full team is Nimbus as far as I know of. It would be nice to have more open-world content like that but with the current dev team being so shorthanded that seems unlikely at best.
This thread is about ships, not ground content with BOFFs. There happens to be another thread for that. Please stay on topic, and use the other thread for ground content discussion. Thank you.

Game needs a legendary Bortasqu...but they love TRIBBLE over the KDF so much I wonder if it will ever happen
Funny, I could say the same about content for Feds seeing that the KDF and ROM's have at least DOUBLE the content than that of Feds. I do seem to remember that the KDF's content was revamped....so how are they screwed? They still have DOZENS of T6 ships, so they aren't missing out, especially considering until STO and DSC came out, KDF ship variants were extremely very limited in canon. Why can't you just be happy that Cryptic created DOZENS of NEW KDF ships?
Now as for the Legendary ships, yes a MW Bortasqu woud be nice, but like all things, it's not essential as there is usually a better ship in the C-Store.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.
You are all wrong! The only ships that need love and legendary status are.....VULCAN SHIPS! Come one there re some vulcan ships that shoud appear in STO for a long time! Also the vulcans can be As***holes and pain in the as* but they are found member of the Federation! I would like to see 2 vulcan ships in STO from Star Trek Enterprise like Surac claass, and the future vulcaan commnd cruiser that T Pol and Archar saw in Daniel's data base or at leas Legendary Vulcan Ship!

I won't deny that we need to add a couple more Vulcan ships, and have a T6 D'Kyr, however based on the trend lately they would not be eligable due to lack of variations that already exist. And before anyone points out the Kelvin or DSC Connies... those were the odd ones out at the time and that particular Bundle was focusing on Hero ships, most of which were named Enterprise. They have an excuse.
Not only that, introducing a brand new ship into the game via Legendary when there is no existing version at all... would get the Pitchforks out instantly.

"The meaning of victory is not to merely defeat your enemy but to destroy him, to completely eradicate him from living memory, to leave no remnant of his endeavours, to crush utterly his achievement and remove from all record his every trace of existence. From that defeat no enemy can ever recover. That is the meaning of victory."

Don't need to do that as we already HAVE a Legendary NX. If we get a Mirror NX it would probably be the same thing as the Mirror Connie. So either it would be Lobi Store or Lockbox. If it ends up C-Store that would be a suprise, but a welcome one.
Although I'm not quite sure just a Mirror Skin slapped on an NX would be enough. Maybe if we had a Mirror NX type ship that unlocked a Mirror Skin, kinda like the Cabot unlocking the Mirror Magee cosmetics.
If every ship has a legendary version, then what's the point of getting the regular ver... Oh. Now, I understand.
Not every ship will get a Legendary. The primary focus has been notable CANON ships that have many variants already in game. Only one ship had the distinction of not being Canon while getting a Legendary, but that argument is now out the window with the full Canonization of the Odyssey class.

T7 still ain't gonna be a thing.
Specializations have opened the door to new variants though. I just wish we'd get a new Spec tree at some point.
T7 might indeed not happen, but banshir is correct in what he's saying. People are clamouring to buy new versions of existing T6 ships even though they aren't technically T7. It's an interesting observation.

Before that, Legendary Negh'Var !!!
I keep saying two pack with a Bortasqu flight deck carrier and Negh'Var Juggernaut. and I am willing to sit down with them and tell how to do it without the backlash they keep getting for doing things exactly wrong.
if I stop posting it doesn't make you right it. just means I don't have enough rum to continue interacting with you.

I know it already has a legendary version... but Id really like a legendary version of the Sovereign that had a full Intel spec so I have have a surgical strikes Sovereign... or I guess maybe that become the Terran version of the Sovereign? I dunno... thats what I really want though.

You want the Fleet T6 Imperial Intel Assault Cruiser then.

That's fair, but... what leemwatson posted above.
Personally I'd love to see a legendary/Terran Sovereign with a hangar bay, considering how the legendary Intrepid gets everything the legendary Sovereign gets and more like that. Not to mention it was at least soft canon (official artist) that the Sovereign had a hangar conversion during the Dominion War.
I've changed my mind since I last posted. I've decided there is one ship which I would purchase if it became available. No matter the price. Why, yes, I will sell my children into slavery gladly to purchase a Legendary...Oberth! rofl
A six year old boy and his starship. Living the dream.
They certainly shouldn't go down the road of releasing multiple legendary versions of the same ship.
It's silly enough that old ships are constantly sold as new, just because some minor changes to console slots or specs are made.
Some ships have like three or four T6 variants already.
They certainly shouldn't begin introducing multiple variants of legendary ships. That would be insane, legendary ships are supposed to unlock everything (consoles, ship tailor parts, traits) already. Imagine owning a Regent class, a T6 Archon and the Legendary Sovereign and then seeing another Legendary Sovereign being released with yet another trait or a different spec.

Everything up to the release of the Legendary anyways. The Legendary DSC Connie doesn't unlock the Mirror Warship parts, and the Legendary Miranda doesn't unlock any of the Miranda variants that came later like the Bozeman.

Nope, I have it. Its even T6-X. But its isnt a full intel spec ship. The closest ship to what I'd want is the Excelsior II Intel Heavy cruiser, except that ship doesnt have the Sovereign skin option.

The Fleet Imperial Intel Assualt Cruiser isnt a full Intel spec. It has an intel seat, but SS1 is pretty bad... I want a full Commander Intel seat for SS3. So again, similar to the Excelsior II but with the Sovereign skin.

the intrepid gets the hangar but loses subsystem targeting. a win in my book, but the hangar just brings sher to the same fighting capability as a destroyer. still one weapon hardpoint less than a cruiser

Ah, I see. Thanks, I missed that.
It still feels weird that the legendary Sovereign doesn't get a single hangar bay, though.
As for new legendary ships, I've already said the Bortasqu' should get one. And by that, there should also be a legendary Dominion flagship. I'm still unsure what'd work best for them, though.
sure why not. and lets get a T8 legendary moon shuttle. Legendary is as overused as the term Hero. sorry kids, a teacher not doing his job well is not a hero.
