I haven't noticed it happening more often this week, but it happens way too often any time. It is one of the reasons I have not bothered to do normal missions much (it is worst for me during missions for some reason) and have just done the events and called it a day for a while now. I wish they could fix it though since I have recruitment characters that I should be doing missions with to get through the stuff on their recruit devices.
It appears to occur more when having the display set to full screen, less so when set as windowed maximised and less again when windowed.
In fact when it lags on a map transfer switching to windowed tends to get it going moving again not always but the majority of the time which is annoying having to switch display settings just to transfer maps.
Dam games getting worse. Literally nearly every map transfer today has been slow and stuck on the single digits despite speed tests saying I'm uploading 192mbps and downloading 42mbps.
If you have Microsoft OneDrive running in the background you can try pausing it to see if the game is hanging up on a sync issue or something. It does not seem to be the case in my case, but it is easy enough to try and it might help.
Also, unchecking the "on demand patching" box in the ARC launcher helps a lot of people (though oddly not everyone).

I'll try that thanks with one drive.
Already have on demand patching turned off. My best guess is this is likely something to do their end, where you request to transfer map and the request to enter that map is not being responded to, which results in the slow counter on the splash screen and eventual disconnection where your request times out.
And again as I'm posting this the slash screen is stalled counting on single digits and bam disconnected from server. But of course it's my connection right Cryptic?

you are right on the money, my friend.
a decent fellow once told me not to use the arc launcher, but to log in directly via the star trek online.exe... sadly it changed nothing, except now I have to type in my pw every time it happens.

I login via that route so I don't have to load ARC. Disconnections appear to be getting worse. Initially it was the Fleet Research Station and Shuttle Bridges and rarely TFO's but it has spread to be more frequent with TFO's, Argala Patrol and Acamar,
No lag/rubberbanding being experienced other than in my nemesis the Dyson Ground Battlezone.
for me its fleet maps that 1st load real slow then go you been disconnected so for example ill go to do the DOFF mission and crafting mission at the research lab then hit transwarp to fleetbase. i will then hit transport to fleetbase it will then about 10% of the time load real slow and then go you been DISSCONECTED from the server i will then hit normal login and 5-10 sec later im loaded on to the fleetbase.
Its really odd but ive had it on some single player and team missions as well its madding because some TFO are all but over within 30-40 sec and i get locked out of TFOs because of it. its easy to swap chars on my old Toons but if i need marks for my newest it takes the TRIBBLE
