Commander Rojal does not exist in game

Mission: Reinforcements (Romulan)
Location: Romulan Command Center, Personnel
Target for Commander Rojal appears in compass, and circle indicating location appears on map, but Commander Rojal is not there. Unable to complete mission and claim reward without presence of Commander Rojal.

Already reported on support page. Gamemaster requested I post here as well so that players who have not yet reported this bug will know he is collecting reports to forward to the dev team. So, if you've run into this problem with this mission, please, please file a report. The more, the better.

The "Reinforcements" mission for Romulan is the version that is given by their allied contact at Starfleet/Klingon Academy which is then turned in to Jarol/Laroj.

The actual 'bug' here is that the version being given out at New Romulus Command (by Velaar?) shouldn't be given out.
It was bugged the very first time this event ran and was properly disabled for subsequent re-runs but about two years ago, it became re-activated.

There is a workaround for it, though it is not very good. It turns out that you can use the officer from whichever side your Romulan is allied with to complete the mission, though in the case of Fed aligned captains you get the droid instead of the Reman engineer you are supposed to get (they have the same skills though). KDF allied captains get the right doff from the Klingon officer because all KDF characters get the Reman engineer too.

Personally, I would rather they fix Rojal instead of having to do the run-all-over-the-map nonsense, but it appears to be a zero-priority thing to the devs so will probably never get fixed.

Weird thing is, I got both missions: both for the exocomp and the engineer. Ran to ESD and got the comp, but still have the one for Rojal in my mission log.
Yeah, It'd really be nice if they fixed it, one way or another.

If they fix Rojal, they then have to make the allied version of the mission unavailable to Romulans or they can get 2 'versions' of the same doff.
If they fix Rojal, they have to make sure players who have completed their allied version of the mission cannot take the Romulan version as well, or they end up with 2 'versions' of the same doff.
Easier option: disable the mission and leave Romulans to have only the allied version of the mission - it's good enough for the Jem'Hadar, so it should be good enough for the Republic!

The fix is to remove the version of the mission given by "Velaar". Romulans need to get their allied-faction version of the mission at Starfleet/Klingon Academy.

They could make it a choice by setting a flag when players claim one or the other (they are already "one per character" already iirc) if they combine the two missions into a single one for every faction that just has different options (including a "no option" option in the case of Fed and KDF). It would be far more professional looking than the current situation (though currently there is the droll humor aspect of the Romulans and the allied faction apparently not knowing what the other is doing).
