Black Screen when loading

When I try loading STO through ARC all I get is a black screen with the loading wheel spinning on its merry way. No Cryptic loading screen or anything else. Any suggestions on fixing this?

    I get that a lot too. Using CTRL-ALT-Del to bring up the task manager, killing the program and launcher then immediately starting the game again from the desktop usually gets it to load normally when it does that. Unfortunately, it is just a kludge and not a fix so chances are it will do the blackscreen nonsense again at next launch.

    This has been a long standing bug in the Arc launcher. Launching from startrekonline.exe without using the arc launcher will give you a 100% success rate.
