Who made Wesley emperor?

I'm curious as to how Wesley Crusher became emperor of the Terran Empire.

I'm mean seriously...Wesley?

Was it because of his abilities/powers as a Traveler? (Did he become a Traveler in the mirror universe?) Or was it something else? What's the in-game lore explanation?

Inquiring minds want to know. Oh, and I hope we get to say it.... SHUT UP WESLEY!

    Based on an interview I read he was their top pick from the beginning and all the devs were on board with it. The Traveler powers were probably part of it but they also seem to have really liked the name "Emperor Crusher". And while he wouldn't have been my first, second, third, or even fourth pick I do think it works pretty well.

    keep in mind even sans traveler powers Wesley was always presented as a genius. it's not hard to see a darker mirror Wesley utilizing his genius to become Emperor.


    Emperor Crusher does suddenly add new depth to Leeta's "the Emperor will crush you" quote

    I think he did use Traveler powers to gain more power for himself. Its par for the course in the Terran Empire. And it would have taken something BIG to scare Leeta, who had been empowered by a Pah Wraith herself.

    Either he has Traveller powers like Prime Wesley or he became a Q like Prime Riker, it doesn't specify just that the Emperor has Godlike powers.

    What we do know is that Wesley does have some powers beyond those of natural to humans
    he's able to stop those drones inside the "Other" with essentially a wave of his hand, while we don't know and probably will never know what those powers are, it's clear they're more then enough to climb to the top of the Terran hierarchy

    Nah, she was probably standing by his side the whole way, drenched in as much blood as he was.

    A mirror Dr. Crusher is nothing to sneeze at - especially with the goal of becoming the Emperor's mother which would give her vast amounts of power with very little risk. He's the public face/target of the Empire, while she manipulates grand strategies behind the scenes.

    Wow, that just struck me... Bringing in Gates McFadden in the above role as her evil mirror self would be awesome!

    He has powers of a Traveller, he tells you in the episode.

    Traveller Powers of course

    However if you read the IDW Mirror Universe comics, Wesley seems to be even more of a Genius than the Prime Wesley. He acts like hes mentally handicapped around people, as a cover so they dont think of him as a threat, until Picard convinces Beverly to Join him in taking the I.S.S. Enterprise from Earth Spacedock (a Cloaking Device protected Earth Spacedock).

    Picard points to the fact that every cruise Beverly has been on with Wesley as a dependent has had some of the highest returns of any Terran Ship, at which point Wesley quits acting and in a way reminiscent of Data, breaks down how the cost/benefit ratio of allying with Picard is the best that they could ever hope for.

    So toss in the fact that Wesley has Traveller powers, and even before that was genius who could do calculations (on certain things) at Data's level, served under one of the most vicious Captains in Starfleet History and Most Profitable who on a regular basis attacked the Prime Universe...on the most powerful ship at the time (The Dreadnaught I.S.S. Enterprise as in game)...Served with one of the most Bloodthirsty and Profitable Crews in the Fleet who were also some of the best at their specialties, learned from all of them...I honestly could believe he made it to Emperor...

    In fact, I would kind of expect it

    Just think, Wesley is pulling off the tech version of Darth Vitiate. He'll be the Eternal Emperor of the Star Trek universe till some guy named Revan comes along.

    Hi all...

    And on top of all that, consider the power good ol' Wes might have at his disposal in being a Traveler. And when I say power, I mean power akin to both the Space & Time Stone's, if no where near in scope. Being able to teleport anywhere he wants, including into other dimensions, combined with the ability to manipulate time itself in so far as "movement" goes, make's him akin to a living TARDIS in a way too. I mean, if he was really angry with you, he could just freeze you in time, walk up to you, and stab you in the neck. No fuss, no muss. Or heck, just teleport you into deep space, or even as Star... again, instant kill. So I am not surprised someone with that kind of power (and the brains to use it) would become a power mad tyrant...

    "Terra" is Latin for "Earth". We're all Terrans. The Terran Empire is called that because it's centered on Earth, and run by Terrans.

    "Terra" is also one of the many names Earth has in astronomy (Sol III being another), since Latin is used in astronomy for terms and names that are separated from any living language.

    The clones would have been deposed of by the 23rd century since the Hoshi clones would have been legitimate competition for both Georgiou and Spock, who both canonically became Terran Emperors, for that to happen the Terrans would have to reinstate the Hoshi bloodline into power after conquering Terok Nor and rebuilding their empire from scratch.

    Simple way to defeat the Terran Emperor, marry Wesley, have his heir, then divorce and take have his stuff.

    Watching this emperor is like watching SPONGEBOB as an emperor. I guess whoever made that final decision thought it was a good joke since he sucks big time.
