I been thinking about it and looking over the ships and find none of the lock box or promo ships interests me and I do not like they are single character items.
The amount of Lobi is good, but none of the ships interest me and they are single character as well. I already have the Lobi store items that interest me and still have Lobi left over from the campaign last year.
So,even though the two T6 coupons are the less attractive from a rarity/economic standpoint, I like that they are account unlock ships. I have a lot of flexibility on which characters I have or will create in the future for ship selection. I also own only a few T6 zen store ships. At this point the two T6 coupons look like the best choice for me.
I already own the Universe class, the Inquiry and the legendary pack. Most other promo ships aren't that interesting to me. Maybe I'll get the S31 ship.
I keep seeing the Universe Class in orbit and see it mentioned a number of times here. > @peterconnorfirst said: > I currently want a D7 but plan on getting it sooner than via this event chain. > > If I can I will take the lobi. I have 18 atm lol. They are hard to come by for me cuz if there is one thing I hate its opening boxes. I use lobi for gear releases in lobi store exclusively and the ones from the last event chain are all used up.
I have 17 at the moment. Had over 1350 before the last 50% Sale.

- Inquiry: can I use regular Avenger skin and kitbash with it? Does it unlock Avenger skin if not owned?
The Inquiry class comes with the Inquiry skin and the Avenger Skin for free. It does not come with the Arbiter skin however, that has to be unlocked by purchase of the T6 Battlecruiser. The Avenger skin is a free unlock for all ships of this line, you do not need to own the Avenger to get it.
If we get a D7 legendary bundle before the end of the campaign, and provided the stats and specialistic seats are to my liking, I'll most probably go for the Lobi.
If, on the other hand, there will be no D7 Legendary or I don't like the stats and spec seats, I'll go for the DSC D7. Carriers are not my preferred ships by any means, but the D7 is iconic.
this sounds like a plan, except I already have the $7d D7, so I'll prolly get one of the other D7s instead anyway

Questions:
- Inquiry: can I use regular Avenger skin and kitbash with it? Does it unlock Avenger skin if not owned?
- Temporal T'Liss: can you use temporal powers while enhanced battlecloaked? can you swap skin to other T'liss types?
As someone else mentioned, (and the wiki confirms) the Inquiry would be able to use Avenger skin for free but Arbiter and Fleet Arbiter (there is a difference) would require getting those ships. T'Liss is similar, it has the T'Liss and T'Varo but the Refit and Malem skins require owning the ships. (Legendary ships unlock the skins for their entire line, so legendary T'Liss Refit unlocks Malem for other T'Liss line ships.)
And this is why I'm planning on using one of the T6 coupons from this year's legendary bundle to get an Arbiter, and I'll get Inquiry from the event campaign, which will also give FSM discount for fleet version if I decide to get that one.
Personally, right now, I'm mainly hesitating between:
-the Jellyfish-XL, due to its cool design and flying animations and the unique quad micro photon torpedo launcher that isn't anything special but looks cool ;
-the Nimrod S31 Battlecruiser, due to its trait that is fun to watch and fitting for my "mobile fleet"-themed character that has as many pets as possible showing up in addition to the hangar pets.
I have no idea at this point, just too many possibilities. I am hoping that it comes as an option box so I can store it and use whichever of the three options I finally decide to use instead of having to commit to one of them at the end of the event.
I have always wanted to get a TOS Constitution and/or a TOS D7 so it may be one of those, or even a Crossfield since I like the McQuarrie design and the Crossfield is the closest thing to it in STO, or I might go for the lobi or maybe even the T6 coupons since I still don't have many T6 account-wide ships yet.

Jellyfish is quite a unique ship in a lot of regards. Most noteably, it's a Science ship with both Pilot Maneuvers and Flanking. 4/2 weapon layout lets you keep pumping out torpedos while the pilot maneuvers help you keep things in the forward arc for the torpedos and deflector abilities. Could probably put a Subspace Jumper on it to make full use of the flanking while using the maneuvers to maintain the flank bonus.
It's definitely a ship I gave some consideration to, but crossed it off the list because I'd have to make a new character for it.. and that queue is already pretty full..

It will most likely give you a choice boxm kinda like one you'd get if you did win one of the promo or lockbox ships normally.
Also the Crossfield was based off the McQuarrie design. Star Trek does have a history of revisiting concept art for new designs. One of the concepts for the Defiant would later become the Nova class.
Whatever lets me use standard Connie costume parts. Is that just the Temporal Light Cruiser?
Just the Temporal Light Cruiser for the Promobox ship, but if you can afford the 10ship bundle the next time it's available then the Legendary Constitution Miracle Worker Light Cruiser can also use those parts, and the Legendary bundle is an account wide purchase.
I shall remember this and will follow this advice too.
I'll probably get the DSC D7 if it is possible to get (and there's no legendary version before that) because I like my Klinks to fly Klingon ships if possible.
I picked up the Maquis Raider, another Discovery Rifle, and the Zath Vash stuff for my current Federation Science Main. My Klingon Recruit (Tac), picked up the Bio-Neural Console, Herald Staff, some Discovery Rifles, the Zath Vash stuff, and a couple of other Character Bind Ground and Space items.
Unfortunately, I couldn't pick up the Boolean on the Recruit as, for some reason, rather than being level up (Infinity), it was Mk XII and I wasn't at the appropriate level.

The DSC D7 will be an option. As of right now the only promo ship that is not an option is the new Janeway Class starship. I believe they announced that if it was available as a promo or lockbox ship before the start of 2021, its fair game.
doesn't matter. without the account unlock I'm not wasting my time. If I read the posts right only one toon can grind too? yeah, I'll do something else till the summer event

So first you were upset because you thought you had to grind on all your characters. Now that you find out you don’t, you’re mad because you can’t do it on multiple characters?
If you want something account wide, just take the lobi. A little bit of ‘work,’ once per day on one character and you get enough lobi for all the consoles and items you could want. Not to mention the regular rewards for all the meta events that are part of the over arching event.
Appreciate the replies and answers. This makes the Temporal T'Liss a higher contender while dropping the juggernaut, so will have to eliminate one from S31 heavy battlecruiser, inquiry, t'liss.
Wish the jellyfish was a consideration but its constant spinning, lack of any cloaking options, dislike pilot/thrusters on sci, no temporal seating are hard to justify over the other options, but plenty of time to re-visit the other scout ships.
Valkis is real nice but does require appreciating it for what it is, a mobile romulan mini-starbase. I use mine with plasma DHC, temporal debuff support, maxed ambush decloak duration and buffs, on a Rom Tac main. Does not feel flexible for builds, and takes a lot of skill combos, planning ahead, and anticipating things to have it work that way at least.

I imagine I'll continue to debate it internally right down to the wire.
This, however, I suspect I'll get the T6 coupons and one will be for the Spore Infused Anomalies ship, probably the Fed one, and whatever T6 comes out in the next eligible period that has an over-the-top trait. I really hate one-character rewards.

I love both my Temp T'liss and my Valkis, and I find that both actually work really nicely as EPG build ships. The T'liss allows me to gain 20% exotic damage from temp mech while also giving me the ability to throw out exotic and torp damage from the safety of the enhanced battle cloak. Fitted with consoles and equipment to maximized exotic damage, the ship is really fun to fly and very deadly.
The Valkis on the other hand make a really nice park-and-shoot exotic damage ship. Again gaining 20% exotic damage from temp mech, and maxing out EPG skill with consoles, I am able get some really nice crits with the gravitic lance, sometimes one-shot'ing weaker enemies.

There's also the Lobi and T6 coupon options.
Ehhh...they haven't added a new lobi ship in years and considering lock box/promo ship costs average out to hundreds of dollars IMO it's kinda a waste to choose a prize with a value of 60 dollars...maybe if they offered a legendary pack as a option but we all know they will NEVER do that

Thats a misleading thesis- lockbox promo ships 'costs' are artificially inflated by the gambling nature of 'winning' one by opening a box with a cash purchased key. They further inflate the value by making then a rarity item, so it's not really a waste to take a 'sure thing' T6 zen ship that can be flown by multiple characters on your account instead of a "I hope one of my 250 keys will unlock a ..." single toon ship thats only marginally better than the cash store variant.

No brainer- the T6 Vor'Ral since all my toons are Klingon or Klingon allied. Possibly a termporal raider with the second T6 token.
