This program, though reasonably normal at times, seems to have a strong affinity to classes belonging to the Cat 2.0 program. Questerius 2.7 will break down on occasion, resulting in garbage and nonsense messages whenever it occurs. Usually a hard reboot or pulling the plug solves the problem when that happens.
Not sure if i want to cheer or hurl. It'll take a while to get used to.
Also command specialization has never been my favorite.

Parts of it are very nice looking, and other parts are hideous ... sounds about right for a Federation + Klingon hybrid ship, lol. At least this will give me a decent looking ship to fly with a klingon character.
I don't really care as much as I only fly Escorts and Raiders so I would never use this ship no matter what the design.
HOWEVER, I have to say, this has got to be one of the most ugly ships I have seen from STO for a long time. STO's earlier 25th century design aesthetic has always been rather not good. Though, it did improve over time especially the surface materals with balance between the grey and dark areas that actually look pretty ok on canon ships. Not to mention the 25th century interpretation of canon designs, basically upgraded but following the same lines, look pretty great. But I am really surprised this ever left the drawing board. It to me looks like a low effort sickening kitbash that wouldn't even make it as one of the background ships at Wolf 359 or the Qualor II Federation Depo.
I thought the idea was for innovative cross-faction designs evolving from the best of Federation and Klingon technologies.. Of course this is obviously supposed to, at least design wise be an interpretation of 25th century Crossfield-class ship. So they can keep doing Discovery but call it new 25th century content. Sorry but I am just not in any way impressed by a D7 drive section attached to saucer.
There was a reason Andrew Probert's 70s design didn't pan out and it was kinda silly to use it for Discovery.. BUT there was SOME effort to make it seem like it COULD be a one-off Federation Starship albeit not a very good one. This, skin aside, is worse than that.
I am not mad so much as I am disappointed because, assuming the majority of staff are still there since Victory of Life, I know that you guys can do SO MUCH BETTER than this.
We don't want what the Feds have. We want the equivalent. We want fairer treatment. Concern, desire, greed to some extent, and passionate belief that the enough people would buy KDF items to make it worth Cryptic's while.
I like the fins at the aft, and anything glowy, but that saucer section is......revolting. They'd have been better going with a Delta rather than a squashed ball.
"You don't want to patrol!? You don't want to escort!? You don't want to defend the Federation's Starbases!? Then why are you flying my Starships!? If you were a Klingon you'd be killed on the spot, but lucky for you.....you WERE in Starfleet. Let's see how New Zealand Penal Colony suits you." Adm A. Necheyev.

Too aggressive looking. The round saucer looks far less aggressive, and that's good.
It sounds like it might be a good candidate for an antiproton build, too. I'm definitely interested.
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Nacelles facing upwards would have been a better fit for the federation style saucer while maintaining the klingon style layout.
Hopefully we can modify the layout of the ship to accommodate this.
Also hopefully we can opt for various alliance skins/color schemes.
Still not sold on the command specialization.

I honestly appreciate that the article calls it a Klingon/Federation ship because that thing has no Romulan in it and calling it an "Alliance" battlecruiser like it was made with the ingames Alliances input was some hot BS. Rather them just be upfront like they are about it being a Kling/Fed design

Well remember... Kael DID say we wouldn't be seeing any romulan designs till mid-year....

I haven't seen a 10 forward in a while, I've lost a lot of interest in STO when they decided to practically dump the Romulans. I catch bits and pieces here and there like this ship being announced and like I said I am genuinely appreciative in them not hiding behind some.. little fluffy BS, maybe saying well the Roms designed the back spoiler or something.
It's better to just be honest about choices they make instead of pretending something is holding them back like with Disco
I'll probably pay more attention as Picard is airing since it has the possibility of adding new Rom ships

What?? Didn't you see the Nadara?? That abomination was nothing BUT spikes! And the Scimitar! (Yeah okay, built by Remans but I doubt they designed)
Hey hey.. we where going through our edgey phase ok?
Looks pretty neat, though the saucer isn't perfect.
The new material looks really good. Despite that, I still kinda want the other standard FED/KDF materials (at least the better ones, like Type 0/6/7/8 for Fed and Type 4 for Klingons).

Let's just blame that on Spike envy.
I'm hoping for a lot of customization options (nacelles up, various faction skins etc) since the design shown in the pictures doesn't really tickle my fancy.

It looks like a KDF Qib, with Fed Saucer, Fed Painting and Fed colors on all light sources including the Nascelles. I think due to the aerodynamic design of KDF ship bodies a more pointy saucer like voyagers would had fit better. It will take a bit to get used to but overall, it does look fairly good
Folks are entitled to their opinions in the positive or negative and I'm only going to say this once, keep it civil and leave the name calling out of it.
"Someone once told me that time was a predator that stalked us all our lives. I rather believe that time is a companion who goes with us on the journey and reminds us to cherish every moment, because it will never come again." - Jean Luc Picard in Star Trek Generations
Sadly I'm rather unimpressed. Not mad, but kinda not very interested in flying that ship. It's a nice idea to create crossfaction designs though. Just this one is not the best looking one for my taste. I guess I just expected too much from that "WOW 10 Aniversary Event!" That's a shame this 10 years ship wouldn't beat the wow-effect of the bajoran escort with DOMINO-console I still use quite often. But still thank you very much for another event ship!
I honestly appreciate that the article calls it a Klingon/Federation ship because...
I suspect this ship won't be the only spawn of the new joint design program. For example, we could see an escort which blends Federation and Romulan design philosophies (sort of related: the Surhuelh-class does incorporate some Federation - Vulcan, specifically - design elements).

Honestly, based on the pics we have, would have looked better with a more elongated saucer, kinda like a Sovereign, and maybe the nacelles not so low.
However I'm going to reserve full judgement until I can see more angles, probably when I actually get it because Free is Free.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I like it. Cross faction design opens up bunch more possibilities for ship aesthetics.
What I would like even more, is a ship incorporating design elements of all the alliance members (and maybe even the dominion or cardassians).
I'm also curious about the usable hull materials and the interchangeability of parts from the anniversary megabundle (if there will be one).
