Problems Logging Into The Game

Something is fishy.

I tried to log into the game today (Sunday September 15, 2019, 13:23hrs EST US). At first, I kept getting a 'Password Invalid' message. After several tries, a new message pops up reading 'This Account Is Banned". What the hell?!? Yesterday's session was as usual. The only thing different from my usual routine was a bit of banter with the trolls on ESD Zone chat, something I hadn't done in a long time. And it wasn't the usual level of bantz.


The only thing I can think of is another technical problem with my password and the launcher (admittedly the first one in over a year and a half). Hopefully, the right people will see this and we can get the issue resolved.

since i cant create a new thread here in sto forums(idk why i have this account for a while) i will start mine here because of the title i have the same problem and is a emergency that i cannot wait more i cant log into the game but the problem is different in my case i just reinstalled the game yesterday(its been a while since last time i played the game) to see how things was going and after i got into the game i got long loading screens everything started when i beam up my char to my ship in sol system and after i left the system the loading screen got too damn long that i ran out of patience and did alt+f4 and i got disconected a few times in game later on when i did got into the game and after these long loadings i got that timed out message and put me into login page again after i relog my account my character takes too freaking long to load or sometimes takes too long that i run out of patience and do alt+f4 to close the game then i try the process again and same thing happens note that my char sometimes appears in character selection but if i change to another char it takes the same long time to load and sometimes when load i click play and the loading takes forever sometimes i can get into the game yes(without long loading screens) but if for example i am playing but i want to go to drozana or sol system with my ship when i go there sometimes the loading screen gets long again i dont know why this is happening because i played this game before and was all working fine saying that it seems that this game is very unstable(or they got this game worse since last time) and i can assure you that this problem is not a technical failure because i play other games too and everything works fine from character selection to the game itself and ive been trying to see if this issue stops for some hours now doing the old ''exit the game and try again and hopes that next time works'' and is very annoying not to mention theres a event that will start in some hours that i want to be a part of and my game is having issues can someone help me how to fix this? or if this is just the game itself being ''unstable''? note that this issue started before the 5 march maintenance.

That being said..

When you bring up the Launcher, click on Options at the top and check the box next to the Safe Mode option, this will launch the game with all graphics options on minimum. It's also recommended that you disable 'On Demand Patching.' This will likely cause you to have to download a game update as files will all be downloaded to your system instead of requested from the server when needed.

If that gets you into the game, then slowly up your graphics options one at a time and test between each to see what's causing the problem. Your issue is likely either the PC choking on a Graphics Setting or trying to retrieve information between zones.
