I'm less sure about the scavenger hunt, just because I'm too lazy to memorize all of the fixed-named doffs I've received . Flores, Tarsi and Veril I remember and no one is ever allowed to escape Toven Kurland but the rest....
IKR? That would be half the battle...trying to remember them all...across all the factions, too. LOL!
Well, there is already a Horga'hn hunt which is something of a scavenger hunt, so why not this as well?
What I really wish they would do is to group many of the events simultaneously so they all occur more often. For example, Artifact search, Dance Party, and Biathlon at the same time as one event grouping; Sand Castle Bonus, Horga'hn Hunt, and Power Board race occurring at the same time as well in their grouping.
There generally isn't anything outside the playble area and expanding the map means a lot of assets that need to be created and that's a major effort from Cryptic's part.
The playble area is like a set in a movie. There's no more then is needed to sell the illusion and not a single thing more.
I was terrible at racing when I first started, but I've gotten better at them. I'll never be elite at it, but I will finish without getting out of bounds, which nets me two tags each time. Two races/biathlon equals one monkey project.
Now a LTS and loving it.
Just because you spend money on this game, it does not entitle you to be a jerk if things don't go your way.
I have come to the conclusion that I have a memory like Etch-A-Sketch. I shake my head and forget everything.

Why limit it to JUST BOffs? Could throw in a few other NPCs every once in a while. I mean if Picard can take a vacation on Risa... Why can't Kim, Nog, Kira, or even Bashir?
Over kill, perhaps, but I was thinking of a more personal touch with the signature bridge officers. The idea being that those characters have a life other that following the player captain everywhere. Biggest hurtle would be to get the actors to come back and do voice overs for their lines on Risa.
I would NOT want the Dance to run concurrently with the Artifact thing, nor the Horga'hn Hunt.
Races can go hang...because I am just that bad at them. I will just do with Sand Castles and Flying High over, again, than race. LOL!
I hate the artifact search just as much as the board races, but I would relent. With two races and 4 non-competitive events, it could stand to reason that the races could kick off every 15 minutes, with one on the top and bottom of the hour, and the other at the quarter after and quarter til. That would mean the others would kick off once and hour. Having each of them kick off at least once an hour rather than once every three hours would be a massive improvement. Why they only have one event at a time, with the races occurring the most is total garbage.
Yea! I got my Darius, the Lethean, his baseball uni today. Just for the hat.
Decided: he's gonna be a fan of the "Caitian Claws"....because the hat matched his pants.
And I like cats.
(As I figured, he can not wear the whole baseball uni, no sleeves...he ends up with human arms. This is the BASEBALL HAT on an OFF DUTY outfit....Talaxian stuff)
And I got him a new pet, too... thank you person who had the Orange Tabby on the Exchange for reasonable coinage.

The Horizen? all a Matte painting
Exactly, you get the playble area and little bit outside it in detail to sell that you're in a space that's bigger then the playble area but everything beyond that is either a backdrop (what's the STO equilevant of a matte painting) or at most low ress models. No developer is gonna spend resources in modelling a full sized planet in the level of detail STO uses unless that's the selling point of the game in first Place, not mention that most planets are filled with spaces that become boring quite quick.
Lets take our own planet as example Earth has water as far as the eye can see for about 70% of the surface area and even the 30% has a lot of areas that are more or less the same thing as far as the eye can see.
And, of course, this is RISA....must have THAT person at those Dance Parties.....
I will add the spoiler tags for the squeamish ones on this forum...but if you are going to be obnoxious about this...don't look under there.
(I had a buddy in the barracks who tried this with hard TRIBBLE pics taped to his wall locker in the barracks....didn't work for him...inspection was being done by the XO....was a woman at the time. What an idiot.)
I was hoping this dude wasn't planning on turning around on me....

Traditionally the latest marks are not included in summer events; that way players are encouraged to actively play the new content.
Edit: If you happen to have a Jem’Hadar Gamma recruit fulfilling the respective tasks could also take care of Gamma mark needs on the other characters on your account. In those multiple choice mark boxes, Gamma is already included.

you have to do the 150 queues to get enough gamma marks. I haven't gotten there and have little way of knowing how close I am. Without this you need 2 swarms per character - not too bad.
One year they did add the newest marks halfway through. they also did so one winter. They will not do so this year. They now hold them for a long time. We'll be lucky to see them added to Q's.

I got my 100 queues on my Recruit doing Borg:RA and CCA. I used those (along with Delta & Temporal recruit account rewards) to get the marks he needed for the other 11 reps, and the "mark choice" rewards from all the Gamma Recruit tasks gave him the Gamma marks he needed.
All my other characters got their 660+ Gamma marks from the Gamma Recruit account rewards. They're just waiting for my Jem to hit T5 so that he can sponsor them all.
Tried the Gamma Quadrant zone events once for a few marks, but that's the only 'official' Gamma content I've done.
...this is actually the first year that I'm not farming Risa bird eggs every day, because all my character have their reps at T5.
so if you join the RA from advanced selection it counts?

After finding the new ship useless to my playstyles I figured the 3 piece console set would at least be worth having but I was wrong, I found out all it does is add +20 flight speed for mines and targetable torpedoes, absolutely useless to me since I don't use mines or those kind of torpedoes, so I guess grinding for this ship is going to be a waste of time for me.
To me they have pretty much succeeded in making this new Vorgon ship even more less interesting than the carrier, looks like I only remotely like the escort. I am hoping next year they drop the Vorgon ships and finally do a T6 Risian Corvette.

The PVP races do give favors. The payout is reduced the further back you finish though. You can still play the sand castles event, it just doesn't give bonus favors.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

I am finding the round robin schedule they set up on Risa quite enjoyable this year. Now, that I been running it for a while.
The dance and both Hunts are lumped together so it gives me a decent breaking point in the game when the races revolve around (and run flying high or hit the sandcastles for accolades on new toons or sign off for a while).
Yet the races run often enough when I have time time to do them for practice. Races are very good for practicing power board and floater control...and for practicing observing what is going on around you. Both things I know I have problems with these action video games. LOL!
I am not having problems seeing the directional indicators for the Artifact Hunt. I zoom up and away from the ground and click the button. I just figured out the right angle to see it on my computer...just experiment a bit.

Bug. Try using your floater and hovering about 10 feet or so in the air. It will show up on the ground then. Makes it a bit more awkward though.
