Well, that settles it. Must grind this one because a power drainer must have enhanced sensors for all sorts of fun.
Enhanced Sensors
Slotting this trait will boost the effectiveness of your drain and control abilities whenever you activate a Captain Ability. Activating multiple Captain Abilities in a short duration will refresh the duration of this buff.[\quote]
The space and ground weapon sets look interesting enough that I'll likely grab them for my JH character. I'm not convinced about the space equipment set personally, but sure some will find it useful
While I really like the team buffs as I prefer to build around boosting the team the blog is not very clear on pets. Do the team buffs work for hanger and other pets? Its also really nice to finely see something that benefits mines. My current mine layer ship doesn't have a suitable shield, engine, deflector set to use. Now it looks like I have a good set option.
EDIT: Wow 2 space sets that benefit mines and further ground mines! I am loving the sound of this new reputation , Really looking forward to trying out all the mine items. For me this is the most interesting reputation in years.
One Little Ship
Activating this trait will summon a miniaturized Danube Runabout to fly around and shoot Phaser Beam Arrays and Photon Torpedoes at nearby foes for a short duration.
KHANNNNNNNNNN! Not another grind for a rep system? Don't we have enough of those and enough empty queues still?
Could you please at least make PVE queues drop ANY type of rep rewards? Some of those queues are perpetually empty and no way to get fill in any of the reps anymore.
I'll admit I thought they were moving on from the reputation system for some new progression system.
That said, the equipment looks really good, I'll definitely be utilizing this reputation for a couple of polaron based characters.
Don't let them promote you. Don't let them transfer you. Don't let them do anything that takes you off the bridge of that ship, because while you're there... you can make a difference.

Well another reputation tier was expected with the expansion so the Gamma Task Force announcement isn't surprising. I might be a glutton for punishment, obviously since playing STO, but I'm looking forward to it as well.
The space set items & set bonuses sound good. That warp core is definitely made for Tour of the Galaxy. I like that the set bonuses have (stacks with teammates). That is a welcomed addition.
The space weapons & set bonuses look fun too. "Deep Space Mine" is indeed a descriptive tribute.
The ground set & bonuses seem good enough. I was hoping for an Energy Harness armor, is there one from a reputation or mission reward?, but the +10% weapon damage is a nice set bonus & again the (stacks with teammates) is a nice feature.
Out of the 3 kit modules they all seem okay, but the Tactical seems a head above the rest with it's team-wide abilities.
Lastly the traits' choices will propose interesting choices pending one's build. I like that 'One Little Ship' but a Danube Runabout only seems canon for Federation characters.
That is sad indeed, if Cryptic ends-up not including the Vorta talk about a missed opportunity & perfect time to include them too.
No mention about completing the reputation to unlock playable Cardassian neither, but there's that mini-Danube combat pet, so the playable Cardassian will probably be Zen purchasable alone or in the VIL package.

Cardassians have decided to help the alliance by joining the ranks of Starfleet and the Klingon Defense Force. Players will gain access to create a Cardassian Captain in either major faction with this new addition to the list of species available.
With it in the big Gamma Vanguard pack, you know that means it will also be available on its own in the C-Store.
I can't take it anymore! Could everyone just chill out for two seconds before something CRAZY happens again?!

The Gamma Synergistic Combat Impulse Engine is finely tuned to have a minimal impact on your other subsystems while active. Not only does it get more maneuverability out of less power than any other impulse engine, but it was also built with a custom full impulse setting that leaves your Auxiliary subsystem untouched. It even boosts your Auxiliary power for a short duration after leaving full impulse.
Now all I need is something that allows me to maintain full impulse while in combat for my exotic Vesta.

The Remans are in both the C-Store and the Romulan Reputation, so there is precedent for the idea of using a new Rep as an alternate way to get a new race.
The space set (console + weapon one) looks very interesting, that torpedo three set-bonus sounds very fun. It's also nice to see another wide-arc torpedo in general.
I have been experimenting with a control-polaron combination type of build on one of my toons after I got the Son'a science vessel for him which has the trait that allows you to greatly increase critical chance - that build could certainly put some of this new equipment to good use.
The ground gear then:
The kit modules don't look that interesting to be fair. Our enemies can see our mines, yet they will still walk over them so I don't really see the advantage of having cloaked mines (except in PvP perhaps). The science thingy sounds a lot like Melorazine - except that Melorazine can get additional effects through Doffs, whose powers usually don't apply to most of these more special kit modules, unfortunately.
The tac module looks the most useful, but that will depend on the size of the effects of course.
Some of the new costume parts look great, I hope they will be available to all factions like the ones from the Competetive reputation. I also hope we'll be able to combine them with other uniforms.

They could still be in some where or come in shortly afterwards.

What they haven't mentioned yet are Cardassian boffs.
This does look interesting, even if some proofreading would have helped. Calling the weapon set 'Task Force Ordinances' in one paragraph, and then 'Gamma Task Force Armaments' (likely the intended name) not too long after that? Talking about 'a powerful 360 arc'? Note to proofreaders (or the folks who should be doing so): there's legitimately no excuse for this sort of thing to get out into the wild; it gives a less-than-favorable impression.
Given the nature of the GQBZ it should be an easier reputation to feed beyond 100K, especially if the events do properly scale for the unlikely-but-possible instance of one participating operator. The new queue, I hope, will benefit from having more developer attention paid to it fully (as opposed to being divided among 2-3 queues)... hopefully it (and new episodes) will bring back career-specific optional objectives ('Mine Enemy', 'Facility 4028', and 'Boldly They Rode' come to mind as examples), given as those would synergize nicely with the concept of scaling rewards.
As for the matter of sets...
the Gamma Team Synergies package presents itself as a good choice for science vessels - one thing it readily has over Quantum Phase Applications is the fact of full impulse having no effect on aux power (you need EPtA to take full advantage of Quantum Phase Calculations from the latter set);
Gamma Task Force Armaments should coexist nicely with Chronometric Calculations - it would be interesting to see how well this and GTS coexist with Chronometric Calculations. The Deep Space Mine ability (good nod to Nog's little idea, by the way) should be amusing... and make gravity wells that much more dangerous;
Concerted Armaments sounds like a good utility set, given that each career track has access to at least one slowing effect even before the set weapon is taken into consideration, and obviously learned one thing from the Jem'Hadar Armored Shroud and Romulan Imperial Navy packages... though I wish the pulsewaves' default (not fine-aim) animation would be changed to match the other longarms - the things have stocks for a reason. On another note, I would imagine that the center and right drawings in the header image could both be represented in the tailor unlock (the left is the new Jem'Hadar uniform).
The kit modules all appear solid (I would also add to this unlock tier a crafting recipe for consumable versions of the hypospray) as do the traits; Enhanced Sensors in particular stands out as a recommendation for science captains, and Magnified Munitions' description should explicitly state weapon damage (as its space counterpart does) - which ties back into apparent lack of proofreading.
And there's the other explicit episode nod. I do wonder if that counts as a drone for the purposes of certain doff effects; bonus points if this also unlocks a non-combat pet version of the thing... now that I think about it, there're lots of ships that it'd be amusing to have treated that way, case in point being the Tarantula (hypothetically unlocked by destroying all named Tarantulas at least once). Speaking of pets, we still want the Nukara vanity drones back.
I want to build my tac around Polarons so I can combine 3 sets into the same ship (Chronometric, Lukari, and maybe Gamma). This is for her Spyro/HTTYD themed ship.
"Simba, you have forgotten me. You have forgotten who you are … you are my son and the one true king." (Mufasa)
You know, a part of me was just hoping for an easier way to get Dominion Polaron weapons (The ones from Boldly They Rode, which are just polaron but with the tetryon proc added on). They're such a nice looking and sounding weapon type, it's a shame it's still being left behind.

Wow, that's going to be required for Vesta (and compatible) builds. I'm horrible at builds, and I can see that coming.

2. An authoritative order; a decree.
Ordnance (noun)
1. Mounted guns; artillery.
2. A branch of the armed forces dealing with the supply and storage of weapons, ammunition, and related equipment.
Since the first definition doesn't deal with weapons and the second one does, shouldn't the new console be called a Console – Universal – Ordnance Accelerator Mk XII?
Note to proofreaders (or the folks who should be doing so): there's legitimately no excuse for this sort of thing to get out into the wild; it gives a less-than-favorable impression.
Maybe it was named intentionally like that? Some kind of "enforcing the will of the founders" or whatnot? A double meaning would be pretty clever (even if grammatically it didn't make too much sense)

If rear, I'm liking it. Doubtful I personally would use it if I had to sacrifice a forward weapon slot though....
not for a short duration ,maan ... come on
HA! I missed that. Well, that might be a fun one to at least give a try.
