About the only thing I find a let down on these ships is the experimental weapons, but that is less of the weapon, and more of just again it is a omni-directional weapon on a nimble escort ship. It would be nice to see some narrow arc, weapons, which capitalize on the nimble nature of the ship, and even see some non-escort ships that have a slower turning speed get a experimental slot that the omni-directional nature would make more sense on.
The protomatter sheller kind of meets this halfway - it's omnidirectional, but does more damage on bogies in the forward arc. As for narrow-arc but very powerful 'experimental weapons' (perhaps they should be rechristened 'special weapons'?), how about an actual sniper cannons whose mechanics evolved from the Apex Predator 3-piece bonus? This is just one of many things I see little in-universe excuse for the major players' R&D lads and lasses to not have cooked up.
Yeah it is quite interesting, and a nice addition that steps abit oout of the box. I dont think we need another rechristening of name, even the old "Heavy weapon" name for it could fit under the guise of it being a weapon built into the ship to allow it to hit above it's weight class. Though if we were going to see some re-christening maybe making it less of renaming the weapon type, and more making additional sub-types (artillery weapons, prototype, exotic, and what have you) that could have some stats tied to them.
I always thought that a weaker, more mass-produced version of the spinal/lance based weapons that many of the Dreadnought have would work quite well as experimental weapons, though I also thought that Dreadnoughts/battle-cruisers would make for a good idea of a larger ship that would use such a slot, and just converting the lance-weapons of these ships to a more mass-produced lance-weapon you can purchase to use in the experimental weapon slot. Other good ones might be something like the Bio-neural torp, which to a point don't fit into many weapon types well, but as a experimental weapon would fit well an could be buffed even.
A R G H !!! .... they did it ... they just copied the (very old) andorian ship stats ...
so we get a very slow turning escort, a slow ... pilot ship ...
Might I suggest looking at the insane shied mod? Or maybe the unbelievably updated Boff setups? Or the fact they added a full spec treatment on top of them instead of the usual Lt. Boff slot and that's it?
TOIVA, Toi Vaxx, Toia Vix, Toveg, T'vritha, To Vrax: Bring in the Allegiance class. Toi'Va, Ti'vath, Toivia, Ty'Vris, Tia Vex, Toi'Virth: Add Tier 6 KDF Carrier and Raider. Tae'Va, T'Vaya, To'Var, Tevra, T'Vira, To'Vrak: Give us Asylums for Romulans.
Romulans like pretty ships, why on earth would we buy and fly a toilet brush. GTFO, lost my 9pack sale and any sale from me. i've spent over 1k$ on this game and it has really degenerated over the past few years. I miss the time romulans weren't outcasts and we had ships that were both pretty and useful. Cryptic doesn't make those for us any more, instead we get this garbage. Who thought that this would be ok? who thought that cryptic would get sales buy giving us ships shaped like toilet brushes. I think they just missed a huge opportunity. I've been waiting a very long time for the bundle, this bundle specifically because of the kumari ships, and i know i'm not the only one. But there is just no way. I would of bought the 9 pack too because I would of put one on an alt. but no way no how
Damn the man
Save the empire
Cryptic, factions exist other than federation and they need love too.
Okay, so you don't like the ships. Others don't as well. Again, others do like the fact that it deviates from standard fare. And I would consider the completely new design ideas for Romulans and KDF definitely some kind of "love" for other factions. It may be misplaced and you're not liking it, that's all dandy, but you cannot honestly claim that it was just a quick copy-and-paste look to be done with it before the lunch break.
But either way: not buying the pack because you don't like the ships is perfectly sensible. "Never gonna buy anything again because they once made something I don't like" however isn't.

Shield mods are great, but Lt-Com Uni and Lt Uni are really a huge step up. Of course when you're only looking for a ship to whiz around in, it's of no help.
My mother was an epohh and my father smelled of tulaberries
Well yeah, they're not the fastest and most nimble. Then again they're nowhere near glass canons I would want to allow to be fast and nimble (like most raiders). Did I mention recently how much I hate the original pilot ships and consider them OP still (and how awful they look)?

I dunno, the KDF ones vaguely remind me of the bad guy fighters from the Buck Rogers TV show in the 80's. I like those.
If they don't come with miracle worker seats I'm out. What is up with the lack of miracle worker ships? The other specializations have been done to death, especially pilot.
The KDF ships look really awesome, Rom ones not so much.
That tac trait sounds promising, and the sci one boosting grav well should have sci captains salivating!
It *is* strange that there has been a solid lack of MW ships. I personally love the Romulan and KDF models of the Miracle ships already released, but can't bring myself to fly the FED ones but for short bursts.
On the escort mega pack ... I will get the Andorian pack and that's likely to be it.
I will probably buy the whole bundle this time instead of skip with the KDF variants, but only once it gets a discount.
It will probably launch at 10,000 zen, which is better than the 12,000 "list price" but not quite as good as the 9,600 price it will be in a few months during the next 20% off ships sale.
I want both the Andorian ships and the Gravity Well trait so I'll probably bite now.

I'd wait and see what the IGW gets nerfed to if you are buying for the trait. I know I will since I am gonna get the ship ONLY for the trait.
Good point, there will probably be a PVP whine thread by Friday
I want the Andorian 3-pack regardless of the trait, but the rest of the bundle is mostly for IGW.

LOL those are ancestral ships thank you very much! Also they touch on the tech used in the enterprise where the probe ship had holoemitters for changing the ship's look designed from the same tech they used for cloaking. That's what that tail piece is imo!

So andorian bundle and a nautilus for me then.

You could always use the universal Lt.Comm. for another sci... Frankly I don't know what you were expecting out of a pilot escort.

Don't make ARC mandatory! Keep it optional only!
Quite being a tease and release the pilot bundle already! RAWR!
but yeah, HURRY UP!! NEED!!!

U.S.S. Maelstrom, NCC-71417 (Constitution III-class/flagship) --- Fleet Admiral Hauk' --|-- Dahar Master Hauk --- I.K.S. qu'In 'an bortaS (D7-class / flagship)

How much will they be so I can set aside the money?
3000 zen for 1 ship
6000 for all 3 ships from one faction
12000 for all 9 ships
Minus possible discounts
I can see the 9 ship mega pack, and the Andorian ships individually, but not any of the 3 packs.
Only really want the Feddy bear ships this time round
Yeah that is a bug - been mentioned on Twitter.
Sure about the 3 packs though? Still can't see them even after rebooting. Can see the T5's but not the T6's
