Discovery is a travesty. It should be cancelled immediately, and forgotten. Don't put this non-canonical **** in our game please....and nuke all the JJ **** while you're at it. would much rather you guys spent the money/time on getting John de Lancie, and/or Patrick Stewart into the game...
Sorry, but you're no authority to declare DSC as non-canon. CBS decides that, and to make things even clearer, Roddenberry's son is even a Producer. DSC is an amazing show updated for today's audience whilst having great characters and a pretty decent plot.

Indeed. It never ceases to amaze me how Discovery triggers some people who are perpetually stuck in the TNG era. Maybe that's why they love The Boreville so much? MacFarlane was always good at copycatting other peoples' shows. No originality.
Putting that aside I'm looking forward to some of the nice stats of these new ships.

Indeed. I'm thinking that the current plot is based off the abandoned 'mirror' plot they were going to do for Enterprise.

Source? It's just beven picked up for a second season so can't be doing that badly....
Also here is a chart from Parrot Analytics:DE showing demand (best I can find back in Oct). Because Disco is a digital streaming show only, subscription rates is the only useful metric that CBSAA cares about. Strong subs was the deciding factor that lead CBS to quickly renew for a season 2.

worst lock box yet, drop chance is ridiciulous come on guys if your gonna put a ship in a lock box it should have a good drop chance, just opened 60 boxes nothing, got loads of dilithium vouchers -.- yay? from now on just put the ship of the damn c-store and let us purchase it outright, STOP HOARDING SHIPS BEHIND LOCKBOXES!!!!!
I've been enjoying Discovery, other than the Klingon makeup/prosthetics.
I really wish that the ship had been in the C store, rather than a lockbox, because I rarely open the boxes. I was also hoping for a "Disco" T Shirt at some point.
I agree. Ships should be C Store available.
Nah. The Vengeance, JJprise, and JJ-bird-of-prey are all lockbox. It only makes sense that Discovery (a completely different aesthetic) is lockbox too.
I think the more important thing is that these ships are not "period-appropriate" ships. They are 23rd century ships that are somehow still viable in the 25th century.
Of course, you could argue, "It's just because of the extra money they make as lock box ships" - but hero ships like the Galaxy, Sovereign, Intrepid or Defiant Class are all C-Store ships... They also happen to be pretty contemporary ships, with background lore suggesting some were even designed to serve Starfleet for a century.
It's because they were C-store ships from the get-go with Atari. Had Perfect World been running it...
I think this lockbox is a missed opportunity. In the anniversary year of TNG and upcomming DS9 love, they release an incomplete box. It has some nice stuff, and something for several fanboys so good job for that. However it has no romulan ship. Making this exclusive 2 t6 ships for Romulans is just a joke and shows how badly this box was designed for star trek fans in general.
Not being in show is a weak excuse. Kelvin timeline had none either. They could now make a pre tos T6 ship for romulans. If the serie was cannon, this wouldn’t be an issue, since some Romulan ships are knows from that time, or just the fact they had a chance for a free chance on designing a sto ship (like the kelvin timeline one).
Everyone has an opinion about discovery. Its not Kelvin. Seeing how the Klingons look, its not primeline to me. Then again its Fullerverse, a man who creates al his shows in his own universe.
Cryptic has given the fans a ship they begged for, and cheaper way to get then the t6 ToS ship. I understand they didn’t release the original ship. Being a T1, it wouldn’t sell much and people would complain they want to fly it as endgame.
The t6 constitution came in the the AoY Season NX t6 version came in Lukari Season, the TNG movie t6 special ship came with attack wing (where u buy a miniature, if u had the chance), the discovery t6 ship is launched before the serie is a year old. So for the fans cryptic is generous to please them.
I have no love for this box, and no ship in this box that actually lets me buy keys for zen to sell to get me a ship. Last years the 2 months key sale (with a few missing days between them being on sale) already made me less interested in selling keys. I often grab me stuff from some boxes, which I can use or theme a char. Nothing in this box that breaks my gameplay of not having it, and nothing that warms my heart as a fan. Since my main is Romulan, I should either be able to use all t6 faction aligned ships or get a real ship. It’s not like Romulans already have so many ships or bridges to exclude them now.
The box is also not a real fanboy box, since it relies more on the 2 ships, then stuff from the serie. There was chance to release faction uniforms, faction weapons, faction pets. This box is just a sugar rush for fans.

I'm curious how much of the ideas from STO ended up shaping how JJ Disco ended up: Dreadnought Diplomacy....Anyways, why the Hell does the Kelvin ships get to use the TOS material and these lockbox ships do not? Is it a Freudian slip that it Is an alternate reality?

Check that: Material. Guess a little too pissed off. Glad I talked to someone before open any boxes. That was going to be the whole selling point for me. Can't Believe how TRIBBLE that was...dropping the ball again to balance with the success of re-engineering and the featured episode?

Thanks guys for quickly fixing this. Short nacelles on the Crossfields?
I have a crazy question. Why does the 100+ year old light exploration cruiser Walker class ship have the same level of forward firepower as the Scimitar, which is a massive ship that is purpose built for combat?
Yeah I know, this game ceased trying to make much sense a long time ago. I'd ask if you guys ever plan on going back and re-balancing the older ships in light of the newer ones but I think I already know the answer to that.

They seem to be based upon a rejected Klingon design from the 1970's, from one of the aborted series/films planned at the time. I seen the image

Ya picked up for 2nd season and doing pretty well according to CBSAA. Looks like they're expanding into Amazon territory.

And you clearly haven't watched much of Disco if you think it's comparable to GOT.
Better to have them as a choice of damage type at least.
